תְהִלִּים 147
| הַ֥לְלוּ יָ֨הּ ׀ כִּי־ט֭וֹב זַמְּרָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ כִּֽי־נָ֝עִים נָאוָ֥ה תְהִלָּֽה׃ | 1 |
Hallelujah; for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is comely; [him] becometh praise.
| בּוֹנֵ֣ה יְרוּשָׁלִַ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה נִדְחֵ֖י יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל יְכַנֵּֽס׃ | 2 |
The Lord buildeth up Jerusalem: the outcasts of Israel will he gather together;
| הָ֭רֹפֵא לִשְׁב֣וּרֵי לֵ֑ב וּ֝מְחַבֵּ֗שׁ לְעַצְּבוֹתָֽם׃ | 3 |
He that healeth the broken-hearted, and bindeth up their hurts;
| מוֹנֶ֣ה מִ֭סְפָּר לַכּוֹכָבִ֑ים לְ֝כֻלָּ֗ם שֵׁמ֥וֹת יִקְרָֽא׃ | 4 |
Who counteth the number of the stars; who calleth them all by [their] names.
| גָּד֣וֹל אֲדוֹנֵ֣ינוּ וְרַב־כֹּ֑חַ לִ֝תְבוּנָת֗וֹ אֵ֣ין מִסְפָּֽר׃ | 5 |
Great is our Lord, and abundant in power: his understanding is immeasurable.
| מְעוֹדֵ֣ד עֲנָוִ֣ים יְהוָ֑ה מַשְׁפִּ֖יל רְשָׁעִ֣ים עֲדֵי־אָֽרֶץ׃ | 6 |
The Lord helpeth up the meek: he bringeth down the wicked to the ground.
| עֱנ֣וּ לַיהוָ֣ה בְּתוֹדָ֑ה זַמְּר֖וּ לֵאלֹהֵ֣ינוּ בְכִנּֽוֹר׃ | 7 |
Lift up a song unto the Lord with thanksgiving; sing praises unto our God with the harp;
| הַֽמְכַסֶּ֬ה שָׁמַ֨יִם ׀ בְּעָבִ֗ים הַמֵּכִ֣ין לָאָ֣רֶץ מָטָ֑ר הַמַּצְמִ֖יחַ הָרִ֣ים חָצִֽיר׃ | 8 |
Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who causeth grass to grow upon the mountains;
| נוֹתֵ֣ן לִבְהֵמָ֣ה לַחְמָ֑הּ לִבְנֵ֥י עֹ֝רֵ֗ב אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִקְרָֽאוּ׃ | 9 |
Who giveth to the beast its food, to the young ravens which cry.
| לֹ֤א בִגְבוּרַ֣ת הַסּ֣וּס יֶחְפָּ֑ץ לֹֽא־בְשׁוֹקֵ֖י הָאִ֣ישׁ יִרְצֶֽה׃ | 10 |
Not in the strength of the horse hath he delight: nor in the [swiftness of the] legs of man taketh he pleasure.
| רוֹצֶ֣ה יְ֭הוָה אֶת־יְרֵאָ֑יו אֶת־הַֽמְיַחֲלִ֥ים לְחַסְדּֽוֹ׃ | 11 |
The Lord taketh pleasure in those that fear him, that wait for his kindness.
| שַׁבְּחִ֣י יְ֭רוּשָׁלִַם אֶת־יְהוָ֑ה הַֽלְלִ֖י אֱלֹהַ֣יִךְ צִיּֽוֹן׃ | 12 |
Glorify, O Jerusalem, the Lord: praise thy God, O Zion.
| כִּֽי־חִ֭זַּק בְּרִיחֵ֣י שְׁעָרָ֑יִךְ בֵּרַ֖ךְ בָּנַ֣יִךְ בְּקִרְבֵּֽךְ׃ | 13 |
For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children in the midst of thee;
| הַשָּׂם־גְּבוּלֵ֥ךְ שָׁל֑וֹם חֵ֥לֶב חִ֝טִּ֗ים יַשְׂבִּיעֵֽךְ׃ | 14 |
He who bestoweth peace in thy borders, who satisfieth thee with the best of wheat;
| הַשֹּׁלֵ֣חַ אִמְרָת֣וֹ אָ֑רֶץ עַד־מְ֝הֵרָ֗ה יָר֥וּץ דְּבָרֽוֹ׃ | 15 |
He who sendeth forth his decree unto the earth: how swiftly speedeth his word along!
| הַנֹּתֵ֣ן שֶׁ֣לֶג כַּצָּ֑מֶר כְּ֝פ֗וֹר כָּאֵ֥פֶר יְפַזֵּֽר׃ | 16 |
He who dispenseth snow like wool; who streweth about the hoarfrost like ashes;
| מַשְׁלִ֣יךְ קַֽרְח֣וֹ כְפִתִּ֑ים לִפְנֵ֥י קָ֝רָת֗וֹ מִ֣י יַעֲמֹֽד׃ | 17 |
He who casteth down his ice like pieces: before his cold who can stand?
| יִשְׁלַ֣ח דְּבָר֣וֹ וְיַמְסֵ֑ם יַשֵּׁ֥ב ר֝וּח֗וֹ יִזְּלוּ־מָֽיִם׃ | 18 |
He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and waters run along.
| מַגִּ֣יד דְּבָרָ֣יו לְיַעֲקֹ֑ב חֻקָּ֥יו וּ֝מִשְׁפָּטָ֗יו לְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ | 19 |
He declareth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his ordinances unto Israel.
| לֹ֘א עָ֤שָׂה כֵ֨ן ׀ לְכָל־גּ֗וֹי וּמִשְׁפָּטִ֥ים בַּל־יְדָע֗וּם הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ | 20 |
He hath not done so unto any nation: and [his] ordinances— these they know not. Hallelujah.
