תְהִלִּים 118

1 הוֹד֣וּ לַיהוָ֣ה כִּי־ט֑וֹב כִּ֖י לְעוֹלָ֣ם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃

Give ye thanks to Yahweh—For he is good, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.

2 יֹֽאמַר־נָ֥א יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל כִּ֖י לְעוֹלָ֣ם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃

I pray you! let Israel, say, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.

3 יֹֽאמְרוּ־נָ֥א בֵֽית־אַהֲרֹ֑ן כִּ֖י לְעוֹלָ֣ם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃

I pray you! let the house of Aaron, say, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.

4 יֹֽאמְרוּ־נָ֭א יִרְאֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה כִּ֖י לְעוֹלָ֣ם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃

I pray you! let them who revere Yahweh, say, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.

5 מִֽן־הַ֭מֵּצַ֥ר קָרָ֣אתִי יָּ֑הּ עָנָ֖נִי בַמֶּרְחָ֣ב יָֽהּ׃

Out of a strait, called I on Yah, He answered me with enlargement.

6 יְהוָ֣ה לִ֭י לֹ֣א אִירָ֑א מַה־יַּעֲשֶׂ֖ה לִ֣י אָדָֽם׃

Yahweh, is on my side, I will not fear, What can man, do unto me?

7 יְהוָ֣ה לִ֭י בְּעֹזְרָ֑י וַ֝אֲנִ֗י אֶרְאֶ֥ה בְשֹׂנְאָֽי׃

Yahweh, is on my side, with them who help me, I, therefore shall gaze upon them who hate me.

8 ט֗וֹב לַחֲס֥וֹת בַּיהוָ֑ה מִ֝בְּטֹ֗חַ בָּאָדָֽם׃

It is, better to seek refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man:

9 ט֗וֹב לַחֲס֥וֹת בַּיהוָ֑ה מִ֝בְּטֹ֗חַ בִּנְדִיבִֽים׃

It is, better to seek refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in nobles.

10 כָּל־גּוֹיִ֥ם סְבָב֑וּנִי בְּשֵׁ֥ם יְ֝הוָ֗ה כִּ֣י אֲמִילַֽם׃

All nations, have compassed me about, In the Name of Yahweh, surely I will make them be circumcised;

11 סַבּ֥וּנִי גַם־סְבָב֑וּנִי בְּשֵׁ֥ם יְ֝הוָ֗ה כִּ֣י אֲמִילַֽם׃

They have compassed me about—yea compassed me about, In the Name of Yahweh, surely I will make them be circumcised;

12 סַבּ֤וּנִי כִדְבוֹרִ֗ים דֹּ֭עֲכוּ כְּאֵ֣שׁ קוֹצִ֑ים בְּשֵׁ֥ם יְ֝הוָ֗ה כִּ֣י אֲמִילַֽם׃

They have compassed me about like wax bees, they have blazed up like the fire of thorns, In the Name of Yahweh, surely I will make them be circumcised.

13 דַּחֹ֣ה דְחִיתַ֣נִי לִנְפֹּ֑ל וַ֖יהוָ֣ה עֲזָרָֽנִי׃

Thou didst, thrust sore, at me that I might fall, But, Yahweh, hath helped me.

14 עָזִּ֣י וְזִמְרָ֣ת יָ֑הּ וַֽיְהִי־לִ֝֗י לִֽישׁוּעָֽה׃

My might and melody, is Yah, and he hath become mine by salvation.

15 ק֤וֹל ׀ רִנָּ֬ה וִֽישׁוּעָ֗ה בְּאָהֳלֵ֥י צַדִּיקִ֑ים יְמִ֥ין יְ֝הוָה עֹ֣שָׂה חָֽיִל׃

The voice of shouting and salvation, is in the tents of the righteous, The right hand of Yahweh, is doing valiantly:

16 יְמִ֣ין יְ֭הוָה רוֹמֵמָ֑ה יְמִ֥ין יְ֝הוָה עֹ֣שָׂה חָֽיִל׃

The right hand of Yahweh, is exalted, The right hand of Yahweh, is doing valiantly.

17 לֹֽא אָמ֥וּת כִּי־אֶֽחְיֶ֑ה וַ֝אֲסַפֵּ֗ר מַֽעֲשֵׂ֥י יָֽהּ׃

I shall not die, but live, That I may recount the doings of Yah.

18 יַסֹּ֣ר יִסְּרַ֣נִּי יָּ֑הּ וְ֝לַמָּ֗וֶת לֹ֣א נְתָנָֽנִי׃

Yah, chastened me sore, But, unto death, did not deliver me.

19 פִּתְחוּ־לִ֥י שַׁעֲרֵי־צֶ֑דֶק אָֽבֹא־בָ֝ם אוֹדֶ֥ה יָֽהּ׃

Open to me the gates of righteousness, I will enter therein, I will give thanks unto Yah.

20 זֶֽה־הַשַּׁ֥עַר לַיהוָ֑ה צַ֝דִּיקִ֗ים יָבֹ֥אוּ בֽוֹ׃

This, is the gate for Yahweh, Such as are righteous, shall enter therein.

21 א֭וֹדְךָ כִּ֣י עֲנִיתָ֑נִי וַתְּהִי־לִ֝֗י לִֽישׁוּעָֽה׃

I will thank thee, because thou hast answered me, And hast become mine, by salvation.

22 אֶ֭בֶן מָאֲס֣וּ הַבּוֹנִ֑ים הָ֝יְתָ֗ה לְרֹ֣אשׁ פִּנָּֽה׃

A stone the builders refused, hath become the head of the corner:

23 מֵאֵ֣ת יְ֭הוָה הָ֣יְתָה זֹּ֑את הִ֖יא נִפְלָ֣את בְּעֵינֵֽינוּ׃

From Yahweh, hath this come to pass, The same, is marvellous in our eyes.

24 זֶה־הַ֭יּוֹם עָשָׂ֣ה יְהוָ֑ה נָגִ֖ילָה וְנִשְׂמְחָ֣ה בֽוֹ׃

This is the day, which Yahweh hath made, We will exult, and be glad therein.

25 אָנָּ֣א יְ֭הוָה הוֹשִׁ֘יעָ֥ה נָּ֑א אָֽנָּ֥א יְ֝הוָ֗ה הַצְלִ֘יחָ֥ה נָּֽא׃

Ah now, Yahweh, do save, we beseech thee, Ah now, Yahweh, do send success, we beseech thee!

26 בָּר֣וּךְ הַ֭בָּא בְּשֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֑ה בֵּ֝רַֽכְנוּכֶ֗ם מִבֵּ֥ית יְהוָֽה׃

Blessed be he that entereth, In the Name of Yahweh, we have blessed you, out of the house of Yahweh.

27 אֵ֤ל ׀ יְהוָה֮ וַיָּ֪אֶר לָ֥נוּ אִסְרוּ־חַ֥ג בַּעֲבֹתִ֑ים עַד־קַ֝רְנ֗וֹת הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃

Yahweh is GOD, and hath shed on us light, —Bind ye the festal sacrifice with cords, Up to the horns of the altar.

28 אֵלִ֣י אַתָּ֣ה וְאוֹדֶ֑ךָּ אֱ֝לֹהַ֗י אֲרוֹמְמֶֽךָּ׃

My GOD, thou art, and I will thank thee, —My Elohim, I will exalt thee.

29 הוֹד֣וּ לַיהוָ֣ה כִּי־ט֑וֹב כִּ֖י לְעוֹלָ֣ם חַסְדּֽוֹ׃

Give ye thanks to Yahweh—For he is good, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.
