אִיּוֹב 40
| וַיַּ֖עַן יְהוָ֥ה אֶת־אִיּ֗וֹב וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ | 1 |
And he answered Yahweh Job and he said.
| הֲ֭רֹב עִם־שַׁדַּ֣י יִסּ֑וֹר מוֹכִ֖יחַ אֱל֣וֹהַּ יַעֲנֶֽנָּה׃ פ | 2 |
¿ Will he contend with [the] Almighty a faultfinder [one who] corrects God let him answer him.
| וַיַּ֖עַן אִיּ֥וֹב אֶת־יְהוָ֗ה וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ | 3 |
And he answered Job Yahweh and he said.
| הֵ֣ן קַ֭לֹּתִי מָ֣ה אֲשִׁיבֶ֑ךָּ יָ֝דִ֗י שַׂ֣מְתִּי לְמוֹ־פִֽי׃ | 4 |
Here! I am insignificant what? will I respond to you hand my I put to mouth my.
| אַחַ֣ת דִּ֭בַּרְתִּי וְלֹ֣א אֶֽעֱנֶ֑ה וּ֝שְׁתַּ֗יִם וְלֹ֣א אוֹסִֽיף׃ פ | 5 |
One [time] I have spoken and not I will answer and two [times] and not I will repeat.
| וַיַּֽעַן־יְהוָ֣ה אֶת־אִ֭יּוֹב מִ֥ן ׀ סְעָרָ֗ה וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ | 6 |
And he answered Yahweh Job (from - *Q(K)*) (a tempest *Q(k)*) and he said.
| אֱזָר־נָ֣א כְגֶ֣בֶר חֲלָצֶ֑יךָ אֶ֝שְׁאָלְךָ֗ וְהוֹדִיעֵֽנִי׃ | 7 |
Gird up please like a man loins your I will ask you and make known to me.
| הַ֭אַף תָּפֵ֣ר מִשְׁפָּטִ֑י תַּ֝רְשִׁיעֵ֗נִי לְמַ֣עַן תִּצְדָּֽק׃ | 8 |
¿ Even will you annul justice my will you condemn as guilty? me so that you may be justified.
| וְאִם־זְר֖וֹעַ כָּאֵ֥ל ׀ לָ֑ךְ וּ֝בְק֗וֹל כָּמֹ֥הוּ תַרְעֵֽם׃ | 9 |
And or? [does] an arm like God - [belong] to you? and with a voice like him will you thunder?
| עֲדֵ֥ה נָ֣א גָֽא֣וֹן וָגֹ֑בַהּ וְה֖וֹד וְהָדָ֣ר תִּלְבָּֽשׁ׃ | 10 |
Deck yourself please majesty and dignity and glory and honor you will be clothed.
| הָ֭פֵץ עֶבְר֣וֹת אַפֶּ֑ךָ וּרְאֵ֥ה כָל־גֵּ֝אֶ֗ה וְהַשְׁפִּילֵֽהוּ׃ | 11 |
Scatter [the] furi of anger your and see every proud [person] and bring low him.
| רְאֵ֣ה כָל־גֵּ֭אֶה הַכְנִיעֵ֑הוּ וַהֲדֹ֖ךְ רְשָׁעִ֣ים תַּחְתָּֽם׃ | 12 |
See every proud [person] humble him and tread down wicked [people] in place their.
| טָמְנֵ֣ם בֶּעָפָ֣ר יָ֑חַד פְּ֝נֵיהֶ֗ם חֲבֹ֣שׁ בַּטָּמֽוּן׃ | 13 |
Hide them in the dust together faces their bind up in the hidden [place].
| וְגַם־אֲנִ֥י אוֹדֶ֑ךָּ כִּֽי־תוֹשִׁ֖עַ לְךָ֣ יְמִינֶֽךָ׃ | 14 |
And also I I will praise you that it will save you right [hand] your.
| הִנֵּה־נָ֣א בְ֭הֵמוֹת אֲשֶׁר־עָשִׂ֣יתִי עִמָּ֑ךְ חָ֝צִ֗יר כַּבָּקָ֥ר יֹאכֵֽל׃ | 15 |
There! please Behemoth which I made with you grass like ox it eats.
| הִנֵּה־נָ֣א כֹח֣וֹ בְמָתְנָ֑יו וְ֝אֹנ֗וֹ בִּשְׁרִירֵ֥י בִטְנֽוֹ׃ | 16 |
There! please strength its [is] in loins its and power its in [the] muscles of belly its.
| יַחְפֹּ֣ץ זְנָב֣וֹ כְמוֹ־אָ֑רֶז גִּידֵ֖י פַחֲדָ֣יו יְשֹׂרָֽגוּ׃ | 17 |
It stiffens tail its like a cedar [the] sinews of (thighs its *Q(K)*) they are intertwined.
| עֲ֭צָמָיו אֲפִיקֵ֣י נְחוּשָׁ֑ה גְּ֝רָמָ֗יו כִּמְטִ֥יל בַּרְזֶֽל׃ | 18 |
Bones its [are] tubes of bronze limbs its [are] like a rod of iron.
| ה֭וּא רֵאשִׁ֣ית דַּרְכֵי־אֵ֑ל הָ֝עֹשׂוֹ יַגֵּ֥שׁ חַרְבּֽוֹ׃ | 19 |
It [is] [the] first of [the] ways of God the [one who] made it let him bring near sword his.
| כִּֽי־ב֭וּל הָרִ֣ים יִשְׂאוּ־ל֑וֹ וְֽכָל־חַיַּ֥ת הַ֝שָּׂדֶ֗ה יְשַֽׂחֲקוּ־שָֽׁם׃ | 20 |
For [the] beast[s] of [the] mountains they carry to it and every animal of the field they play there.
| תַּֽחַת־צֶאֱלִ֥ים יִשְׁכָּ֑ב בְּסֵ֖תֶר קָנֶ֣ה וּבִצָּֽה׃ | 21 |
Under thorny lotus plants it lies in a hiding place of reed[s] and swamp.
| יְסֻכֻּ֣הוּ צֶאֱלִ֣ים צִֽלֲל֑וֹ יְ֝סֻבּ֗וּהוּ עַרְבֵי־נָֽחַל׃ | 22 |
They cover it thorny lotus plants shade its they surround it [the] poplars of [the] wadi.
| הֵ֤ן יַעֲשֹׁ֣ק נָ֭הָר לֹ֣א יַחְפּ֑וֹז יִבְטַ֓ח ׀ כִּֽי־יָגִ֖יחַ יַרְדֵּ֣ן אֶל־פִּֽיהוּ׃ | 23 |
There! it is violent [the] river not it is alarmed it is confident - for it bursts forth [the] Jordan to mouth its.
| בְּעֵינָ֥יו יִקָּחֶ֑נּוּ בְּ֝מֽוֹקְשִׁ֗ים יִנְקָב־אָֽף׃ | 24 |
By eyes its will anyone take? it with snares will anyone pierce? a nose.
