אִיּוֹב 36
| וַיֹּ֥סֶף אֱלִיה֗וּא וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ | 1 |
And he added Elihu and he said.
| כַּתַּר־לִ֣י זְ֭עֵיר וַאֲחַוֶּ֑ךָּ כִּ֤י ע֖וֹד לֶאֱל֣וֹהַּ מִלִּֽים׃ | 2 |
Wait for me a little so I may show you that still [are] for God words.
| אֶשָּׂ֣א דֵ֭עִי לְמֵרָח֑וֹק וּ֝לְפֹעֲלִ֗י אֶֽתֵּֽן־צֶֽדֶק׃ | 3 |
I will bear knowledge my from afar (and to maker my *LAB(h)*) I will ascribe righteousness.
| כִּֽי־אָ֭מְנָם לֹא־שֶׁ֣קֶר מִלָּ֑י תְּמִ֖ים דֵּע֣וֹת עִמָּֽךְ׃ | 4 |
For truly not [are] falsehood words my [one] complete of knowledge [is] with you.
| הֶן־אֵ֣ל כַּ֭בִּיר וְלֹ֣א יִמְאָ֑ס כַּ֝בִּ֗יר כֹּ֣חַֽ לֵֽב׃ | 5 |
There! God [is] mighty and not he rejects mighty strength of heart.
| לֹא־יְחַיֶּ֥ה רָשָׁ֑ע וּמִשְׁפַּ֖ט עֲנִיִּ֣ים יִתֵּֽן׃ | 6 |
Not he preserves alive [the] wicked and [the] justice of afflicted [people] he gives.
| לֹֽא־יִגְרַ֥ע מִצַּדִּ֗יק עֵ֫ינָ֥יו וְאֶת־מְלָכִ֥ים לַכִּסֵּ֑א וַיֹּשִׁיבֵ֥ם לָ֝נֶ֗צַח וַיִּגְבָּֽהוּ׃ | 7 |
Not he withdraws from [the] righteous eyes his and with kings to the throne and he has made sit them to perpetuity and they have become exalted.
| וְאִם־אֲסוּרִ֥ים בַּזִּקִּ֑ים יִ֝לָּכְד֗וּן בְּחַבְלֵי־עֹֽנִי׃ | 8 |
And if [they are] bound in fetters they are caught! in cords of affliction.
| וַיַּגֵּ֣ד לָהֶ֣ם פָּעֳלָ֑ם וּ֝פִשְׁעֵיהֶ֗ם כִּ֣י יִתְגַּבָּֽרוּ׃ | 9 |
And he told to them work their and transgressions their that they were behaving proudly.
| וַיִּ֣גֶל אָ֭זְנָם לַמּוּסָ֑ר וַ֝יֹּ֗אמֶר כִּֽי־יְשֻׁב֥וּן מֵאָֽוֶן׃ | 10 |
And he uncovered ear their for correction and he said that they will turn away! from wickedness.
| אִֽם־יִשְׁמְע֗וּ וְֽיַ֫עֲבֹ֥דוּ יְכַלּ֣וּ יְמֵיהֶ֣ם בַּטּ֑וֹב וּ֝שְׁנֵיהֶ֗ם בַּנְּעִימִֽים׃ | 11 |
If they will hear and they may serve [him] they will bring to an end days their in good and years their in pleasant [things].
| וְאִם־לֹ֣א יִ֭שְׁמְעוּ בְּשֶׁ֣לַח יַעֲבֹ֑רוּ וְ֝יִגְוְע֗וּ כִּבְלִי־דָֽעַת׃ | 12 |
And if not they will hear by a missile they will pass away and they may expire like not knowledge.
| וְֽחַנְפֵי־לֵ֭ב יָשִׂ֣ימוּ אָ֑ף לֹ֥א יְ֝שַׁוְּע֗וּ כִּ֣י אֲסָרָֽם׃ | 13 |
And [people] godless of heart they put anger not they cry for help if he has bound them.
| תָּמֹ֣ת בַּנֹּ֣עַר נַפְשָׁ֑ם וְ֝חַיָּתָ֗ם בַּקְּדֵשִֽׁים׃ | 14 |
It dies in youth self their and life their among the temple prostitutes.
| יְחַלֵּ֣ץ עָנִ֣י בְעָנְי֑וֹ וְיִ֖גֶל בַּלַּ֣חַץ אָזְנָֽם׃ | 15 |
He rescues [the] afflicted by affliction his and he uncovers by oppression ear their.
| וְאַ֤ף הֲסִיתְךָ֨ ׀ מִפִּי־צָ֗ר רַ֭חַב לֹא־מוּצָ֣ק תַּחְתֶּ֑יהָ וְנַ֥חַת שֻׁ֝לְחָנְךָ֗ מָ֣לֵא דָֽשֶׁן׃ | 16 |
And also he has allured you - from [the] mouth of enemy a broad place not constraint in place its and [the] quietness of table your it was full fatness.
| וְדִין־רָשָׁ֥ע מָלֵ֑אתָ דִּ֖ין וּמִשְׁפָּ֣ט יִתְמֹֽכוּ׃ | 17 |
And judgment of [the] wicked you are full judgment and justice they take hold of [you].
| כִּֽי־חֵ֭מָה פֶּן־יְסִֽיתְךָ֣ בְסָ֑פֶק וְרָב־כֹּ֝֗פֶר אַל־יַטֶּֽךָּ׃ | 18 |
For rage lest it should entice you in mockery and [the] greatness of [the] ransom may not it turn aside you.
| הֲיַעֲרֹ֣ךְ שׁ֭וּעֲךָ לֹ֣א בְצָ֑ר וְ֝כֹ֗ל מַאֲמַצֵּי־כֹֽחַ׃ | 19 |
¿ Will it set in order opulence your not in distress and all [the] efforts of strength.
| אַל־תִּשְׁאַ֥ף הַלָּ֑יְלָה לַעֲל֖וֹת עַמִּ֣ים תַּחְתָּֽם׃ | 20 |
May not you long for the night to go up peoples in place their.
| הִ֭שָּׁמֶר אַל־תֵּ֣פֶן אֶל־אָ֑וֶן כִּֽי־עַל־זֶ֝֗ה בָּחַ֥רְתָּ מֵעֹֽנִי׃ | 21 |
Take heed may not you turn to wickedness for this you have chosen more than affliction.
| הֶן־אֵ֭ל יַשְׂגִּ֣יב בְּכֹח֑וֹ מִ֖י כָמֹ֣הוּ מוֹרֶֽה׃ | 22 |
There! God he is exalted in power his who? like him [is] a teacher.
| מִֽי־פָקַ֣ד עָלָ֣יו דַּרְכּ֑וֹ וּמִֽי־אָ֝מַ֗ר פָּעַ֥לְתָּ עַוְלָֽה׃ | 23 |
Who? has he assigned on him way his and who? has he said you have done unrighteousness.
| זְ֭כֹר כִּֽי־תַשְׂגִּ֣יא פָעֳל֑וֹ אֲשֶׁ֖ר שֹׁרְר֣וּ אֲנָשִֽׁים׃ | 24 |
Remember that you will magnify work his which they have sung people.
| כָּל־אָדָ֥ם חָֽזוּ־ב֑וֹ אֱ֝נ֗וֹשׁ יַבִּ֥יט מֵרָחֽוֹק׃ | 25 |
All humankind they have looked on it human[s] he looks from a distance.
| הֶן־אֵ֣ל שַׂ֭גִּיא וְלֹ֣א נֵדָ֑ע מִסְפַּ֖ר שָׁנָ֣יו וְלֹא־חֵֽקֶר׃ | 26 |
There! God [is] exalted and not we know [him] [the] number of years his and not inquiry.
| כִּ֭י יְגָרַ֣ע נִטְפֵי־מָ֑יִם יָזֹ֖קּוּ מָטָ֣ר לְאֵדֽוֹ׃ | 27 |
For he draws up drops of water they refine rain to mist its.
| אֲשֶֽׁר־יִזְּל֥וּ שְׁחָקִ֑ים יִ֝רְעֲפ֗וּ עֲלֵ֤י ׀ אָדָ֬ם רָֽב׃ | 28 |
Which they flow [the] clouds they drip on - humankind numerous.
| אַ֣ף אִם־יָ֭בִין מִפְרְשֵׂי־עָ֑ב תְּ֝שֻׁא֗וֹת סֻכָּתֽוֹ׃ | 29 |
Also if anyone understands [the] spreading out of dark cloud [the] crashes of pavilion his.
| הֵן־פָּרַ֣שׂ עָלָ֣יו אוֹר֑וֹ וְשָׁרְשֵׁ֖י הַיָּ֣ם כִּסָּֽה׃ | 30 |
There! he spreads out on him light his and [the] roots of the sea he covers.
| כִּי־בָ֭ם יָדִ֣ין עַמִּ֑ים יִֽתֶּן־אֹ֥כֶל לְמַכְבִּֽיר׃ | 31 |
For by them he judges peoples he gives food to abundance.
| עַל־כַּפַּ֥יִם כִּסָּה־א֑וֹר וַיְצַ֖ו עָלֶ֣יהָ בְמַפְגִּֽיעַ׃ | 32 |
Over palms of hands he covers light and he commanded to it in an assailant.
| יַגִּ֣יד עָלָ֣יו רֵע֑וֹ מִ֝קְנֶ֗ה אַ֣ף עַל־עוֹלֶֽה׃ | 33 |
It tells on him roar his livestock also on [one who] comes up.
