תְהִלִּים 46

1 לַמְנַצֵּ֥חַ לִבְנֵי־קֹ֑רַח עַֽל־עֲלָמֹ֥ות שִֽׁיר׃ אֱלֹהִ֣ים לָ֭נוּ מַחֲסֶ֣ה וָעֹ֑ז עֶזְרָ֥ה בְ֝צָרֹ֗ות נִמְצָ֥א מְאֹֽד׃

For the music director by the sons of Korah. According to alamoth, a song. God is our protection and our strength; always ready to help when troubles come.

2 עַל־כֵּ֣ן לֹא־נִ֭ירָא בְּהָמִ֣יר אָ֑רֶץ וּבְמֹ֥וט הָ֝רִ֗ים בְּלֵ֣ב יַמִּֽים׃

So we will not be afraid though the earth shakes, though the mountains fall into the depths of the sea,

3 יֶהֱמ֣וּ יֶחְמְר֣וּ מֵימָ֑יו יִֽרְעֲשֽׁוּ־הָרִ֖ים בְּגַאֲוָתֹ֣ו סֶֽלָה׃

though the waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble as the waters surge violently! (Selah)

4 נָהָ֗ר פְּלָגָ֗יו יְשַׂמְּח֥וּ עִיר־אֱלֹהִ֑ים קְ֝דֹ֗שׁ מִשְׁכְּנֵ֥י עֶלְיֹֽון׃

A river flows to bring happiness to those in God's city, the holy place where the Most High lives.

5 אֱלֹהִ֣ים בְּ֭קִרְבָּהּ בַּל־תִּמֹּ֑וט יַעְזְרֶ֥הָ אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים לִפְנֹ֥ות בֹּֽקֶר׃

God is in the midst of the city; it will never fall. God protects it as soon as it is light.

6 הָמ֣וּ גֹ֖ויִם מָ֣טוּ מַמְלָכֹ֑ות נָתַ֥ן בְּ֝קֹולֹ֗ו תָּמ֥וּג אָֽרֶץ׃

Nations are in turmoil, kingdoms collapse. God raises his voice and the earth melts.

7 יְהוָ֣ה צְבָאֹ֣ות עִמָּ֑נוּ מִשְׂגָּֽב־לָ֝נוּ אֱלֹהֵ֖י יַעֲקֹ֣ב סֶֽלָה׃

The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob protects us. (Selah)

8 לְֽכוּ־חֲ֭זוּ מִפְעֲלֹ֣ות יְהוָ֑ה אֲשֶׁר־שָׂ֖ם שַׁמֹּ֣ות בָּאָֽרֶץ׃

Come and see what the Lord has achieved! See the amazing things he has done on the earth!

9 מַשְׁבִּ֥ית מִלְחָמֹות֮ עַד־קְצֵ֪ה הָ֫אָ֥רֶץ קֶ֣שֶׁת יְ֭שַׁבֵּר וְקִצֵּ֣ץ חֲנִ֑ית עֲ֝גָלֹ֗ות יִשְׂרֹ֥ף בָּאֵֽשׁ׃

He stops wars all over the world. He smashes the bow; he breaks the spear; he sets shields on fire.

10 הַרְפּ֣וּ וּ֭דְעוּ כִּי־אָנֹכִ֣י אֱלֹהִ֑ים אָר֥וּם בַּ֝גֹּויִ֗ם אָר֥וּם בָּאָֽרֶץ׃

Stop fighting! Recognize I am God! I am the ruler of the nations; I am the ruler of the earth.

11 יְהוָ֣ה צְבָאֹ֣ות עִמָּ֑נוּ מִשְׂגָּֽב־לָ֝נוּ אֱלֹהֵ֖י יַעֲקֹ֣ב סֶֽלָה׃

The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob protects us. (Selah)
