תְהִלִּים 25
| לְדָוִ֡ד אֵלֶ֥יךָ יְ֝הוָ֗ה נַפְשִׁ֥י אֶשָּֽׂא׃ | 1 |
“Of David.” Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
| אֱֽלֹהַ֗י בְּךָ֣ בָ֭טַחְתִּי אַל־אֵבֹ֑ושָׁה אַל־יַֽעַלְצ֖וּ אֹיְבַ֣י לִֽי׃ | 2 |
O my God, in thee do I trust, let me not be ashamed, let not my enemies triumph over me.
| גַּ֣ם כָּל־קֹ֭וֶיךָ לֹ֣א יֵבֹ֑שׁוּ יֵ֝בֹ֗שׁוּ הַבֹּוגְדִ֥ים רֵיקָֽם׃ | 3 |
Yea, none that wait on thee will be put to shame: let those be put to shame who deal treacherously without cause.
| דְּרָכֶ֣יךָ יְ֭הוָה הֹודִיעֵ֑נִי אֹ֖רְחֹותֶ֣יךָ לַמְּדֵֽנִי׃ | 4 |
Show me, O Lord, thy ways; teach me thy paths.
| הַדְרִ֘יכֵ֤נִי בַאֲמִתֶּ֨ךָ ׀ וְֽלַמְּדֵ֗נִי כִּֽי־אַ֭תָּה אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׁעִ֑י אֹותְךָ֥ קִ֝וִּ֗יתִי כָּל־הַיֹּֽום׃ | 5 |
Lead me in thy truth, and teach me; for thou art the God of my salvation: on thee do I wait all the day.
| זְכֹר־רַחֲמֶ֣יךָ יְ֭הוָה וַחֲסָדֶ֑יךָ כִּ֖י מֵעֹולָ֣ם הֵֽמָּה׃ | 6 |
Remember thy mercies, O Lord, and thy kindnesses; for they are from everlasting.
| חַטֹּ֤אות נְעוּרַ֨י ׀ וּפְשָׁעַ֗י אַל־תִּ֫זְכֹּ֥ר כְּחַסְדְּךָ֥ זְכָר־לִי־אַ֑תָּה לְמַ֖עַן טוּבְךָ֣ יְהוָֽה׃ | 7 |
The sins of my youth and my transgressions do not remember: according to thy kindness bear thou me in remembrance, for the sake of thy goodness, O Lord.
| טֹוב־וְיָשָׁ֥ר יְהוָ֑ה עַל־כֵּ֤ן יֹורֶ֖ה חַטָּאִ֣ים בַּדָּֽרֶךְ׃ | 8 |
Good and upright is the Lord: therefore he pointeth out to sinners the right way.
| יַדְרֵ֣ךְ עֲ֭נָוִים בַּמִּשְׁפָּ֑ט וִֽילַמֵּ֖ד עֲנָוִ֣ים דַּרְכֹּֽו׃ | 9 |
He guideth the meek in justice, and he teacheth the meek his way.
| כָּל־אָרְחֹ֣ות יְ֭הוָה חֶ֣סֶד וֶאֱמֶ֑ת לְנֹצְרֵ֥י בְ֝רִיתֹ֗ו וְעֵדֹתָֽיו׃ | 10 |
All the paths of the Lord are kindness and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
| לְמַֽעַן־שִׁמְךָ֥ יְהוָ֑ה וְֽסָלַחְתָּ֥ לַ֝עֲוֹנִ֗י כִּ֣י רַב־הֽוּא׃ | 11 |
For the sake of thy name, O Lord, pardon my iniquity: although it is great.
| מִי־זֶ֣ה הָ֭אִישׁ יְרֵ֣א יְהוָ֑ה יֹ֝ורֶ֗נּוּ בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ יִבְחָֽר׃ | 12 |
Who is that man that feareth the Lord? to him will he point out the way which he is to choose?
| נַ֭פְשֹׁו בְּטֹ֣וב תָּלִ֑ין וְ֝זַרְעֹ֗ו יִ֣ירַשׁ אָֽרֶץ׃ | 13 |
His soul shall abide in happiness: and his seed shall inherit the land.
| סֹ֣וד יְ֭הוָה לִירֵאָ֑יו וּ֝בְרִיתֹ֗ו לְהֹודִיעָֽם׃ | 14 |
The secret counsel of the Lord is for those that fear him, and his covenant—to make it known to them.
| עֵינַ֣י תָּ֭מִיד אֶל־יְהוָ֑ה כִּ֤י הֽוּא־יֹוצִ֖יא מֵרֶ֣שֶׁת רַגְלָֽי׃ | 15 |
My eyes are ever [directed] toward the Lord; for he will draw out of the net my feet.
| פְּנֵה־אֵלַ֥י וְחָנֵּ֑נִי כִּֽי־יָחִ֖יד וְעָנִ֣י אָֽנִי׃ | 16 |
Turn unto me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted.
| צָרֹ֣ות לְבָבִ֣י הִרְחִ֑יבוּ מִ֝מְּצֽוּקֹותַ֗י הֹוצִיאֵֽנִי׃ | 17 |
The distresses of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my afflictions.
| רְאֵ֣ה עָ֭נְיִי וַעֲמָלִ֑י וְ֝שָׂ֗א לְכָל־חַטֹּאותָֽי׃ | 18 |
Look on my misery and my trouble; and forgive all my sins.
| רְאֵֽה־אֹויְבַ֥י כִּי־רָ֑בּוּ וְשִׂנְאַ֖ת חָמָ֣ס שְׂנֵאֽוּנִי׃ | 19 |
Look at my enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with the hatred of violence.
| שָׁמְרָ֣ה נַ֭פְשִׁי וְהַצִּילֵ֑נִי אַל־אֵ֝בֹ֗ושׁ כִּֽי־חָסִ֥יתִי בָֽךְ׃ | 20 |
Oh, guard my soul; and deliver me: let me not be put to shame; for I put my trust in thee.
| תֹּם־וָיֹ֥שֶׁר יִצְּר֑וּנִי כִּ֝֗י קִוִּיתִֽיךָ׃ | 21 |
Let integrity and uprightness guard me; for I wait on thee.
| פְּדֵ֣ה אֱ֭לֹהִים אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל מִ֝כֹּ֗ל צָֽרֹותָיו׃ | 22 |
Redeem, O God, Israel out of all his distresses.
