יִרְמְיָהוּ 10

1 שִׁמְע֣וּ אֶת־הַדָּבָ֗ר אֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבֶּ֧ר יְהוָ֛ה עֲלֵיכֶ֖ם בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

to hear: hear [obj] [the] word which to speak: speak LORD upon you house: household Israel

2 כֹּ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה אֶל־דֶּ֤רֶךְ הַגֹּויִם֙ אַל־תִּלְמָ֔דוּ וּמֵאֹתֹ֥ות הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם אַל־תֵּחָ֑תּוּ כִּֽי־יֵחַ֥תּוּ הַגֹּויִ֖ם מֵהֵֽמָּה׃

thus to say LORD to(wards) way: conduct [the] nation not to learn: learn and from sign: miraculous [the] heaven not to to be dismayed for to to be dismayed [the] nation from them

3 כִּֽי־חֻקֹּ֥ות הָֽעַמִּ֖ים הֶ֣בֶל ה֑וּא כִּֽי־עֵץ֙ מִיַּ֣עַר כְּרָתֹ֔ו מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יְדֵ֥י־חָרָ֖שׁ בַּֽמַּעֲצָֽד׃

for statute [the] people vanity he/she/it for tree from wood to cut: cut him deed: work hand artificer in/on/with axe

4 בְּכֶ֥סֶף וּבְזָהָ֖ב יְיַפֵּ֑הוּ בְּמַסְמְרֹ֧ות וּבְמַקָּבֹ֛ות יְחַזְּק֖וּם וְלֹ֥וא יָפִֽיק׃

in/on/with silver: money and in/on/with gold be beautiful him in/on/with nail and in/on/with hammer to strengthen: hold them and not to reel

5 כְּתֹ֨מֶר מִקְשָׁ֥ה הֵ֙מָּה֙ וְלֹ֣א יְדַבֵּ֔רוּ נָשֹׂ֥וא יִנָּשׂ֖וּא כִּ֣י לֹ֣א יִצְעָ֑דוּ אַל־תִּֽירְא֤וּ מֵהֶם֙ כִּי־לֹ֣א יָרֵ֔עוּ וְגַם־הֵיטֵ֖יב אֵ֥ין אֹותָֽם׃ ס

like/as palm cucumber field they(masc.) and not to speak: speak to lift: bear to lift: bear for not to march not to fear from them for not be evil and also be good nothing with them

6 מֵאֵ֥ין כָּמֹ֖וךָ יְהוָ֑ה גָּדֹ֥ול אַתָּ֛ה וְגָדֹ֥ול שִׁמְךָ֖ בִּגְבוּרָֽה׃

from nothing like you LORD great: large you(m. s.) and great: large name your in/on/with might

7 מִ֣י לֹ֤א יִֽרָאֲךָ֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ הַגֹּויִ֔ם כִּ֥י לְךָ֖ יָאָ֑תָה כִּ֣י בְכָל־חַכְמֵ֧י הַגֹּויִ֛ם וּבְכָל־מַלְכוּתָ֖ם מֵאֵ֥ין כָּמֹֽוךָ׃

8 וּבְאַחַ֖ת יִבְעֲר֣וּ וְיִכְסָ֑לוּ מוּסַ֥ר הֲבָלִ֖ים עֵ֥ץ הֽוּא׃

9 כֶּ֣סֶף מְרֻקָּ֞ע מִתַּרְשִׁ֣ישׁ יוּבָ֗א וְזָהָב֙ מֵֽאוּפָ֔ז מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה חָרָ֖שׁ וִידֵ֣י צֹורֵ֑ף תְּכֵ֤לֶת וְאַרְגָּמָן֙ לְבוּשָׁ֔ם מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה חֲכָמִ֖ים כֻּלָּֽם׃

10 וַֽיהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהִים֙ אֱמֶ֔ת הֽוּא־אֱלֹהִ֥ים חַיִּ֖ים וּמֶ֣לֶךְ עֹולָ֑ם מִקִּצְפֹּו֙ תִּרְעַ֣שׁ הָאָ֔רֶץ וְלֹֽא־יָכִ֥לוּ גֹויִ֖ם זַעְמֹֽו׃ ס

11 כִּדְנָה֙ תֵּאמְר֣וּן לְהֹ֔ום אֱלָ֣הַיָּ֔א דִּֽי־שְׁמַיָּ֥א וְאַרְקָ֖א לָ֣א עֲבַ֑דוּ יֵאבַ֧דוּ מֵֽאַרְעָ֛א וּמִן־תְּחֹ֥ות שְׁמַיָּ֖א אֵֽלֶּה׃ ס

like/as this to say to/for them god [the] that heaven [the] and earth [the] not to make to destroy from earth: planet [the] and from under heaven [the] these

12 עֹשֵׂ֥ה אֶ֙רֶץ֙ בְּכֹחֹ֔ו מֵכִ֥ין תֵּבֵ֖ל בְּחָכְמָתֹ֑ו וּבִתְבוּנָתֹ֖ו נָטָ֥ה שָׁמָֽיִם׃

13 לְקֹ֨ול תִּתֹּ֜ו הֲמֹ֥ון מַ֙יִם֙ בַּשָּׁמַ֔יִם וַיַּעֲלֶ֥ה נְשִׂאִ֖ים מִקְצֵ֣ה אֶרֶץ (הָאָ֑רֶץ) בְּרָקִ֤ים לַמָּטָר֙ עָשָׂ֔ה וַיֹּ֥וצֵא ר֖וּחַ מֵאֹצְרֹתָֽיו׃

to/for voice to give: cry out he crowd water in/on/with heaven and to ascend: rise mist from end ([the] land: country/planet *Q(K)*) lightning to/for rain to make and to come out: send spirit: breath from treasure his

14 נִבְעַ֤ר כָּל־אָדָם֙ מִדַּ֔עַת הֹבִ֥ישׁ כָּל־צֹורֵ֖ף מִפָּ֑סֶל כִּ֛י שֶׁ֥קֶר נִסְכֹּ֖ו וְלֹא־ר֥וּחַ בָּֽם׃

be brutish all man from knowledge to wither all to refine from idol for deception drink offering his and not spirit: breath in/on/with them

15 הֶ֣בֶל הֵ֔מָּה מַעֲשֵׂ֖ה תַּעְתֻּעִ֑ים בְּעֵ֥ת פְּקֻדָּתָ֖ם יֹאבֵֽדוּ׃

vanity they(masc.) deed: work delusion in/on/with time punishment their to perish

16 לֹֽא־כְאֵ֜לֶּה חֵ֣לֶק יַעֲקֹ֗ב כִּֽי־יֹוצֵ֤ר הַכֹּל֙ ה֔וּא וְיִ֨שְׂרָאֵ֔ל שֵׁ֖בֶט נַֽחֲלָתֹ֑ו יְהוָ֥ה צְבָאֹ֖ות שְׁמֹֽו׃ ס

17 אִסְפִּ֥י מֵאֶ֖רֶץ כִּנְעָתֵ֑ךְ יֹשַׁבְתִּי (יֹשֶׁ֖בֶת) בַּמָּצֹֽור׃ ס

to gather from land: soil bundle your (to dwell *Q(K)*) in/on/with siege

18 כִּֽי־כֹה֙ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה הִנְנִ֥י קֹולֵ֛עַ אֶת־יֹושְׁבֵ֥י הָאָ֖רֶץ בַּפַּ֣עַם הַזֹּ֑את וַהֲצֵרֹ֥ותִי לָהֶ֖ם לְמַ֥עַן יִמְצָֽאוּ׃ ס

19 אֹ֥וי לִי֙ עַל־שִׁבְרִ֔י נַחְלָ֖ה מַכָּתִ֑י וַאֲנִ֣י אָמַ֔רְתִּי אַ֛ךְ זֶ֥ה חֳלִ֖י וְאֶשָּׂאֶֽנּוּ׃

woe! to/for me upon breaking my be weak: grieved wound my and I to say surely this sickness and to lift: bear him

20 אָהֳלִ֣י שֻׁדָּ֔ד וְכָל־מֵיתָרַ֖י נִתָּ֑קוּ בָּנַ֤י יְצָאֻ֙נִי֙ וְאֵינָ֔ם אֵין־נֹטֶ֥ה עֹוד֙ אָהֳלִ֔י וּמֵקִ֖ים יְרִיעֹותָֽי׃

tent my to ruin and all cord my to tear son: child my to come out: come me and nothing they nothing to stretch still tent my and to arise: establish curtain my

21 כִּ֤י נִבְעֲרוּ֙ הָֽרֹעִ֔ים וְאֶת־יְהוָ֖ה לֹ֣א דָרָ֑שׁוּ עַל־כֵּן֙ לֹ֣א הִשְׂכִּ֔ילוּ וְכָל־מַרְעִיתָ֖ם נָפֹֽוצָה׃ ס

for be brutish [the] to pasture and [obj] LORD not to seek upon so not be prudent and all pasturing their to scatter

22 קֹ֤ול שְׁמוּעָה֙ הִנֵּ֣ה בָאָ֔ה וְרַ֥עַשׁ גָּדֹ֖ול מֵאֶ֣רֶץ צָפֹ֑ון לָשׂ֞וּם אֶת־עָרֵ֧י יְהוּדָ֛ה שְׁמָמָ֖ה מְעֹ֥ון תַּנִּֽים׃ ס

voice tidings behold to come (in): come and quaking great: large from land: country/planet north to/for to set: make [obj] city Judah devastation habitation jackal

23 יָדַ֣עְתִּי יְהוָ֔ה כִּ֛י לֹ֥א לָאָדָ֖ם דַּרְכֹּ֑ו לֹֽא־לְאִ֣ישׁ הֹלֵ֔ךְ וְהָכִ֖ין אֶֽת־צַעֲדֹֽו׃

to know LORD for not to/for man way: conduct his not to/for man to go: walk and to establish: prepare [obj] step his

24 יַסְּרֵ֥נִי יְהוָ֖ה אַךְ־בְּמִשְׁפָּ֑ט אַל־בְּאַפְּךָ֖ פֶּן־תַּמְעִטֵֽנִי׃

to discipline me LORD surely in/on/with justice not in/on/with face: anger your lest to diminish me

25 שְׁפֹ֣ךְ חֲמָתְךָ֗ עַל־הַגֹּויִם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־יְדָע֔וּךָ וְעַל֙ מִשְׁפָּחֹ֔ות אֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּשִׁמְךָ֖ לֹ֣א קָרָ֑אוּ כִּֽי־אָכְל֣וּ אֶֽת־יַעֲקֹ֗ב וַאֲכָלֻ֙הוּ֙ וַיְכַלֻּ֔הוּ וְאֶת־נָוֵ֖הוּ הֵשַֽׁמּוּ׃ פ

to pour: pour rage your upon [the] nation which not to know you and upon family which in/on/with name your not to call: call to for to eat [obj] Jacob and to eat him and to end: destroy him and [obj] pasture his be desolate: destroyed
