2 מְלָכִים 21

1 בֶּן־שְׁתֵּ֨ים עֶשְׂרֵ֤ה שָׁנָה֙ מְנַשֶּׁ֣ה בְמָלְכֹ֔ו וַחֲמִשִּׁ֤ים וְחָמֵשׁ֙ שָׁנָ֔ה מָלַ֖ךְ בִּירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וְשֵׁ֥ם אִמֹּ֖ו חֶפְצִי־בָֽהּ׃

son: aged two ten year Manasseh in/on/with to reign he and fifty and five year to reign in/on/with Jerusalem and name mother his Hephzibah Hephzibah

2 וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הָרַ֖ע בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה כְּתֹֽועֲבֹת֙ הַגֹּויִ֔ם אֲשֶׁר֙ הֹורִ֣ישׁ יְהוָ֔ה מִפְּנֵ֖י בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

and to make: do [the] bad: evil in/on/with eye: seeing LORD like/as abomination [the] nation which to possess: take LORD from face: before son: descendant/people Israel

3 וַיָּ֗שָׁב וַיִּ֙בֶן֙ אֶת־הַבָּמֹ֔ות אֲשֶׁ֥ר אִבַּ֖ד חִזְקִיָּ֣הוּ אָבִ֑יו וַיָּ֨קֶם מִזְבְּחֹ֜ת לַבַּ֗עַל וַיַּ֤עַשׂ אֲשֵׁרָה֙ כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֗ה אַחְאָב֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיִּשְׁתַּ֙חוּ֙ לְכָל־צְבָ֣א הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וַֽיַּעֲבֹ֖ד אֹתָֽם׃

and to return: rescue and to build [obj] [the] high place which to perish Hezekiah father his and to arise: raise altar to/for Baal and to make Asherah like/as as which to make: do Ahab king Israel and to bow to/for all army [the] heaven and to serve: minister [obj] them

4 וּבָנָ֥ה מִזְבְּחֹ֖ת בְּבֵ֣ית יְהוָ֑ה אֲשֶׁר֙ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה בִּירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם אָשִׂ֥ים אֶת־שְׁמִֽי׃

and to build altar in/on/with house: temple LORD which to say LORD in/on/with Jerusalem to set: put [obj] name my

5 וַיִּ֥בֶן מִזְבְּחֹ֖ות לְכָל־צְבָ֣א הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם בִּשְׁתֵּ֖י חַצְרֹ֥ות בֵּית־יְהוָֽה׃

and to build altar to/for all army [the] heaven in/on/with two court house: temple LORD

6 וְהֶעֱבִ֤יר אֶת־בְּנֹו֙ בָּאֵ֔שׁ וְעֹונֵ֣ן וְנִחֵ֔שׁ וְעָ֥שָׂה אֹ֖וב וְיִדְּעֹנִ֑ים הִרְבָּ֗ה לַעֲשֹׂ֥ות הָרַ֛ע בְּעֵינֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה לְהַכְעִֽיס׃

and to pass [obj] son: child his in/on/with fire and to divine and to divine and to make: do medium and spiritist to multiply to/for to make: do [the] bad: evil in/on/with eye: seeing LORD to/for to provoke

7 וַיָּ֕שֶׂם אֶת־פֶּ֥סֶל הָאֲשֵׁרָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה בַּבַּ֗יִת אֲשֶׁ֨ר אָמַ֤ר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־דָּוִד֙ וְאֶל־שְׁלֹמֹ֣ה בְנֹ֔ו בַּבַּ֨יִת הַזֶּ֜ה וּבִירוּשָׁלַ֗͏ִם אֲשֶׁ֤ר בָּחַ֙רְתִּי֙ מִכֹּל֙ שִׁבְטֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אָשִׂ֥ים אֶת־שְׁמִ֖י לְעֹולָֽם׃

and to set: make [obj] idol [the] Asherah which to make in/on/with house: home which to say LORD to(wards) David and to(wards) Solomon son: child his in/on/with house: home [the] this and in/on/with Jerusalem which to choose from all tribe Israel to set: put [obj] name my to/for forever: enduring

8 וְלֹ֣א אֹסִ֗יף לְהָנִיד֙ רֶ֣גֶל יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל מִן־הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתַ֖תִּי לַֽאֲבֹותָ֑ם רַ֣ק ׀ אִם־יִשְׁמְר֣וּ לַעֲשֹׂ֗ות כְּכֹל֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוִּיתִ֔ים וּלְכָל־הַ֨תֹּורָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֥ה אֹתָ֖ם עַבְדִּ֥י מֹשֶֽׁה׃

and not to add: again to/for to wander foot Israel from [the] land: soil which to give: give to/for father their except if to keep: careful to/for to make: do like/as all which to command them and to/for all [the] instruction which to command [obj] them servant/slave my Moses

9 וְלֹ֖א שָׁמֵ֑עוּ וַיַּתְעֵ֤ם מְנַשֶּׁה֙ לַעֲשֹׂ֣ות אֶת־הָרָ֔ע מִן־הַ֨גֹּויִ֔ם אֲשֶׁר֙ הִשְׁמִ֣יד יְהוָ֔ה מִפְּנֵ֖י בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

and not to hear: hear and to go astray them Manasseh to/for to make: do [obj] [the] bad: evil from [the] nation which to destroy LORD from face: before son: descendant/people Israel

10 וַיְדַבֵּ֧ר יְהוָ֛ה בְּיַד־עֲבָדָ֥יו הַנְּבִיאִ֖ים לֵאמֹֽר׃

and to speak: speak LORD in/on/with hand: by servant/slave his [the] prophet to/for to say

11 יַעַן֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר עָשָׂ֜ה מְנַשֶּׁ֤ה מֶֽלֶךְ־יְהוּדָה֙ הַתֹּעֵבֹ֣ות הָאֵ֔לֶּה הֵרַ֕ע מִכֹּ֛ל אֲשֶׁר־עָשׂ֥וּ הָאֱמֹרִ֖י אֲשֶׁ֣ר לְפָנָ֑יו וַיַּחֲטִ֥א גַֽם־אֶת־יְהוּדָ֖ה בְּגִלּוּלָֽיו׃ פ

because which to make Manasseh king Judah [the] abomination [the] these be evil from all which to make: do [the] Amorite which to/for face: before his and to sin also [obj] Judah in/on/with idol his

12 לָכֵ֗ן כֹּֽה־אָמַ֤ר יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל הִנְנִי֙ מֵבִ֣יא רָעָ֔ה עַל־יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם וִֽיהוּדָ֑ה אֲשֶׁר֙ כָּל־שֹׁמְעָיו (שֹׁ֣מְעָ֔הּ) תִּצַּ֖לְנָה שְׁתֵּ֥י אָזְנָֽיו׃

to/for so thus to say LORD God Israel look! I to come (in): bring distress: harm upon Jerusalem and Judah which all (to hear: hear her *Q(K)*) to tingle two ear his

13 וְנָטִ֣יתִי עַל־יְרוּשָׁלַ֗͏ִם אֵ֚ת קָ֣ו שֹֽׁמְרֹ֔ון וְאֶת־מִשְׁקֹ֖לֶת בֵּ֣ית אַחְאָ֑ב וּמָחִ֨יתִי אֶת־יְרוּשָׁלַ֜͏ִם כַּֽאֲשֶׁר־יִמְחֶ֤ה אֶת־הַצַּלַּ֙חַת֙ מָחָ֔ה וְהָפַ֖ךְ עַל־פָּנֶֽיהָ׃

and to stretch upon Jerusalem [obj] line Samaria and [obj] level house: household Ahab and to wipe [obj] Jerusalem like/as as which to wipe [obj] [the] dish to wipe and to overturn upon face her

14 וְנָטַשְׁתִּ֗י אֵ֚ת שְׁאֵרִ֣ית נַחֲלָתִ֔י וּנְתַתִּ֖ים בְּיַ֣ד אֹֽיְבֵיהֶ֑ם וְהָי֥וּ לְבַ֛ז וְלִמְשִׁסָּ֖ה לְכָל־אֹיְבֵיהֶֽם׃

and to leave [obj] remnant inheritance my and to give: give them in/on/with hand: power enemy their and to be to/for plunder and to/for plunder to/for all enemy their

15 יַ֗עַן אֲשֶׁ֨ר עָשׂ֤וּ אֶת־הָרַע֙ בְּעֵינַ֔י וַיִּהְי֥וּ מַכְעִסִ֖ים אֹתִ֑י מִן־הַיֹּ֗ום אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָצְא֤וּ אֲבֹותָם֙ מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם וְעַ֖ד הַיֹּ֥ום הַזֶּֽה׃

16 וְגַם֩ דָּ֨ם נָקִ֜י שָׁפַ֤ךְ מְנַשֶּׁה֙ הַרְבֵּ֣ה מְאֹ֔ד עַ֛ד אֲשֶׁר־מִלֵּ֥א אֶת־יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם פֶּ֣ה לָפֶ֑ה לְבַ֤ד מֵֽחַטָּאתֹו֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֶחֱטִ֣יא אֶת־יְהוּדָ֔ה לַעֲשֹׂ֥ות הָרַ֖ע בְּעֵינֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃

and also blood innocent to pour: kill Manasseh to multiply much till which to fill [obj] Jerusalem lip: edge to/for lip: edge to/for alone from sin his which to sin [obj] Judah to/for to make: do [the] bad: evil in/on/with eye: seeing LORD

17 וְיֶ֨תֶר דִּבְרֵ֤י מְנַשֶּׁה֙ וְכָל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֔ה וְחַטָּאתֹ֖ו אֲשֶׁ֣ר חָטָ֑א הֲלֹא־הֵ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יְהוּדָֽה׃

and remainder word: deed Manasseh and all which to make: do and sin his which to sin not they(masc.) to write upon scroll: book Chronicles [the] day to/for king Judah

18 וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב מְנַשֶּׁה֙ עִם־אֲבֹתָ֔יו וַיִּקָּבֵ֥ר בְּגַן־בֵּיתֹ֖ו בְּגַן־עֻזָּ֑א וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ אָמֹ֥ון בְּנֹ֖ו תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ פ

and to lie down: be dead Manasseh with father his and to bury in/on/with garden house: home his in/on/with Garden (of Uzza) (Garden of) Uzza and to reign Amon son: child his underneath: instead him

19 בֶּן־עֶשְׂרִ֨ים וּשְׁתַּ֤יִם שָׁנָה֙ אָמֹ֣ון בְּמָלְכֹ֔ו וּשְׁתַּ֣יִם שָׁנִ֔ים מָלַ֖ךְ בִּירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וְשֵׁ֣ם אִמֹּ֔ו מְשֻׁלֶּ֥מֶת בַּת־חָר֖וּץ מִן־יָטְבָֽה׃

son: aged twenty and two year Amon in/on/with to reign he and two year to reign in/on/with Jerusalem and name mother his Meshullemeth daughter Haruz from Jotbah

20 וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הָרַ֖ע בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָׂ֖ה מְנַשֶּׁ֥ה אָבִֽיו׃

and to make: do [the] bad: evil in/on/with eye: seeing LORD like/as as which to make: do Manasseh father his

21 וַיֵּ֕לֶךְ בְּכָל־הַדֶּ֖רֶךְ אֲשֶׁר־הָלַ֣ךְ אָבִ֑יו וַֽיַּעֲבֹ֗ד אֶת־הַגִּלֻּלִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָבַ֣ד אָבִ֔יו וַיִּשְׁתַּ֖חוּ לָהֶֽם׃

and to go: walk in/on/with all [the] way: conduct which to go: walk father his and to serve: minister [obj] [the] idol which to serve: minister father his and to bow to/for them

22 וַיַּעֲזֹ֕ב אֶת־יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י אֲבֹתָ֑יו וְלֹ֥א הָלַ֖ךְ בְּדֶ֥רֶךְ יְהוָֽה׃

and to leave: forsake [obj] LORD God father his and not to go: walk in/on/with way: conduct LORD

23 וַיִּקְשְׁר֥וּ עַבְדֵֽי־אָמֹ֖ון עָלָ֑יו וַיָּמִ֥יתוּ אֶת־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ בְּבֵיתֹֽו׃

and to conspire servant/slave Amon upon him and to die [obj] [the] king in/on/with house: home his

24 וַיַּךְ֙ עַם־הָאָ֔רֶץ אֵ֥ת כָּל־הַקֹּשְׁרִ֖ים עַל־הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אָמֹ֑ון וַיַּמְלִ֧יכוּ עַם־הָאָ֛רֶץ אֶת־יֹאשִׁיָּ֥הוּ בְנֹ֖ו תַּחְתָּֽיו׃

and to smite people [the] land: country/planet [obj] all [the] to conspire upon [the] king Amon and to reign people [the] land: country/planet [obj] Josiah son: child his underneath: instead him

25 וְיֶ֛תֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י אָמֹ֖ון אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה הֲלֹא־הֵ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֗ים עַל־סֵ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י הַיָּמִ֖ים לְמַלְכֵ֥י יְהוּדָֽה׃

26 וַיִּקְבְֹּ֥ר אֹתֹ֛ו בִּקְבֻרָתֹ֖ו בְּגַן־עֻזָּ֑א וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ יֹאשִׁיָּ֥הוּ בְנֹ֖ו תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ פ

(and to bury *LB(ah)*) [obj] him in/on/with tomb his in/on/with Garden (of Uzza) (Garden of) Uzza and to reign Josiah son: child his underneath: instead him
