2 דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים 12

1 וַיְהִ֗י כְּהָכִ֞ין מַלְכ֤וּת רְחַבְעָם֙ וּכְחֶזְקָתֹ֔ו עָזַ֖ב אֶת־תֹּורַ֣ת יְהוָ֑ה וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל עִמֹּֽו׃ פ

and to be like/as to establish: establish royalty Rehoboam and like/as strength his to leave: forsake [obj] instruction LORD and all Israel with him

2 וַיְהִ֞י בַּשָּׁנָ֤ה הַֽחֲמִישִׁית֙ לַמֶּ֣לֶךְ רְחַבְעָ֔ם עָלָ֛ה שִׁישַׁ֥ק מֶֽלֶךְ־מִצְרַ֖יִם עַל־יְרוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם כִּ֥י מָעֲל֖וּ בַּיהוָֽה׃

and to be in/on/with year [the] fifth to/for king Rehoboam to ascend: rise Shishak king Egypt upon Jerusalem for be unfaithful in/on/with LORD

3 בְּאֶ֤לֶף וּמָאתַ֙יִם֙ רֶ֔כֶב וּבְשִׁשִּׁ֥ים אֶ֖לֶף פָּרָשִׁ֑ים וְאֵ֣ין מִסְפָּ֗ר לָעָ֞ם אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֤אוּ עִמֹּו֙ מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם לוּבִ֥ים סֻכִּיִּ֖ים וְכוּשִֽׁים׃

in/on/with thousand and hundred chariot and in/on/with sixty thousand horseman and nothing number to/for people which to come (in): come with him from Egypt Libyan Sukkiim and Ethiopian

4 וַיִּלְכֹּ֛ד אֶת־עָרֵ֥י הַמְּצֻרֹ֖ות אֲשֶׁ֣ר לִֽיהוּדָ֑ה וַיָּבֹ֖א עַד־יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ ס

and to capture [obj] city [the] fortress which to/for Judah and to come (in): come till Jerusalem

5 וּֽשְׁמַֽעְיָ֤ה הַנָּבִיא֙ בָּ֣א אֶל־רְחַבְעָ֔ם וְשָׂרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־נֶאֶסְפ֥וּ אֶל־יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם מִפְּנֵ֣י שִׁישָׁ֑ק וַיֹּ֨אמֶר לָהֶ֜ם כֹּה־אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה אַתֶּם֙ עֲזַבְתֶּ֣ם אֹתִ֔י וְאַף־אֲנִ֛י עָזַ֥בְתִּי אֶתְכֶ֖ם בְּיַד־שִׁישָֽׁק׃

and Shemaiah [the] prophet to come (in): come to(wards) Rehoboam and ruler Judah which to gather to(wards) Jerusalem from face: because Shishak and to say to/for them thus to say LORD you(m. p.) to leave: forsake [obj] me and also I to leave: forsake [obj] you in/on/with hand: power Shishak

6 וַיִּכָּנְע֥וּ שָׂרֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וְהַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ צַדִּ֥יק ׀ יְהוָֽה׃

and be humble ruler Israel and [the] king and to say righteous LORD

7 וּבִרְאֹ֤ות יְהוָה֙ כִּ֣י נִכְנָ֔עוּ הָיָה֩ דְבַר־יְהוָה֙ אֶל־שְׁמַֽעְיָ֧ה ׀ לֵאמֹ֛ר נִכְנְע֖וּ לֹ֣א אַשְׁחִיתֵ֑ם וְנָתַתִּ֨י לָהֶ֤ם כִּמְעַט֙ לִפְלֵיטָ֔ה וְלֹא־תִתַּ֧ךְ חֲמָתִ֛י בִּירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם בְּיַד־שִׁישָֽׁק׃

and in/on/with to see: see LORD for be humble to be word LORD to(wards) Shemaiah to/for to say be humble not to ruin them and to give: give to/for them like/as little to/for survivor and not to pour rage my in/on/with Jerusalem in/on/with hand: power Shishak

8 כִּ֥י יִהְיוּ־לֹ֖ו לַעֲבָדִ֑ים וְיֵדְעוּ֙ עֲבֹ֣ודָתִ֔י וַעֲבֹודַ֖ת מַמְלְכֹ֥ות הָאֲרָצֹֽות׃ ס

for to be to/for him to/for servant/slave and to know service my and service kingdom [the] land: country/planet

9 וַיַּ֨עַל שִׁישַׁ֥ק מֶֽלֶךְ־מִצְרַיִם֮ עַל־יְרוּשָׁלַ͏ִם֒ וַיִּקַּ֞ח אֶת־אֹצְרֹ֣ות בֵּית־יְהוָ֗ה וְאֶת־אֹֽצְרֹות֙ בֵּ֣ית הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אֶת־הַכֹּ֖ל לָקָ֑ח וַיִּקַּח֙ אֶת־מָגִנֵּ֣י הַזָּהָ֔ב אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָׂ֖ה שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃

and to ascend: rise Shishak king Egypt upon Jerusalem and to take: take [obj] treasure house: temple LORD and [obj] treasure house: home [the] king [obj] [the] all to take: take and to take: take [obj] shield [the] gold which to make Solomon

10 וַיַּ֨עַשׂ הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ רְחַבְעָם֙ תַּחְתֵּיהֶ֔ם מָגִנֵּ֖י נְחֹ֑שֶׁת וְהִפְקִ֗יד עַל־יַד֙ שָׂרֵ֣י הָרָצִ֔ים הַשֹּׁ֣מְרִ֔ים פֶּ֖תַח בֵּ֥ית הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃

and to make [the] king Rehoboam underneath: instead them shield bronze and to reckon: overseer upon hand ruler [the] to run: guard [the] to keep: guard entrance house: home [the] king

11 וַיְהִ֛י מִדֵּי־בֹ֥וא הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ בֵּ֣ית יְהוָ֑ה בָּ֤אוּ הָרָצִים֙ וּנְשָׂא֔וּם וֶהֱשִׁב֖וּם אֶל־תָּ֥א הָרָצִֽים׃

and to be from sufficiency to come (in): come [the] king house: temple LORD to come (in): come [the] to run: guard and to lift: bear them and to return: return them to(wards) chamber [the] to run: guard

12 וּבְהִכָּֽנְעֹ֗ו שָׁ֤ב מִמֶּ֙נּוּ֙ אַף־יְהוָ֔ה וְלֹ֥א לְהַשְׁחִ֖ית לְכָלָ֑ה וְגַם֙ בִּֽיהוּדָ֔ה הָיָ֖ה דְּבָרִ֥ים טֹובִֽים׃ ס

and in/on/with be humble he to return: turn back from him face: anger LORD and not to/for to ruin to/for consumption and also in/on/with Judah to be word: thing pleasant

13 וַיִּתְחַזֵּ֞ק הַמֶּ֧לֶךְ רְחַבְעָ֛ם בִּירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם וַיִּמְלֹ֑ךְ כִּ֣י בֶן־אַרְבָּעִ֣ים וְאַחַ֣ת שָׁנָה֩ רְחַבְעָ֨ם בְּמָלְכֹ֜ו וּֽשֲׁבַ֨ע עֶשְׂרֵ֥ה שָׁנָ֣ה ׀ מָלַ֣ךְ בִּֽירוּשָׁלַ֗͏ִם הָ֠עִיר אֲשֶׁר־בָּחַ֨ר יְהוָ֜ה לָשׂ֨וּם אֶת־שְׁמֹ֥ו שָׁם֙ מִכֹּל֙ שִׁבְטֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְשֵׁ֣ם אִמֹּ֔ו נַעֲמָ֖ה הָֽעַמֹּנִֽית׃

and to strengthen: strengthen [the] king Rehoboam in/on/with Jerusalem and to reign for son: aged forty and one year Rehoboam in/on/with to reign he and seven ten year to reign in/on/with Jerusalem [the] city which to choose LORD to/for to set: put [obj] name his there from all tribe Israel and name mother his Naamah [the] Ammon

14 וַיַּ֖עַשׂ הָרָ֑ע כִּ֣י לֹ֤א הֵכִין֙ לִבֹּ֔ו לִדְרֹ֖ושׁ אֶת־יְהוָֽה׃ ס

and to make: do [the] bad: evil for not to establish: establish heart his to/for to seek [obj] LORD

15 וְדִבְרֵ֣י רְחַבְעָ֗ם הָרִאשֹׁנִים֙ וְהָאֲ֣חַרֹונִ֔ים הֲלֹא־הֵ֨ם כְּתוּבִ֜ים בְּדִבְרֵ֨י שְׁמַֽעְיָ֧ה הַנָּבִ֛יא וְעִדֹּ֥ו הַחֹזֶ֖ה לְהִתְיַחֵ֑שׂ וּמִלְחֲמֹ֧ות רְחַבְעָ֛ם וְיָרָבְעָ֖ם כָּל־הַיָּמִֽים׃

and word: deed Rehoboam [the] first and [the] last not they(masc.) to write in/on/with word: deed Shemaiah [the] prophet and Iddo [the] seer to/for to enroll and battle Rehoboam and Jeroboam all [the] day: always

16 וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב רְחַבְעָם֙ עִם־אֲבֹתָ֔יו וַיִּקָּבֵ֖ר בְּעִ֣יר דָּוִ֑יד וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ אֲבִיָּ֥ה בְנֹ֖ו תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ פ

and to lie down: be dead Rehoboam with father his and to bury in/on/with city David and to reign Abijah son: child his underneath: instead him
