תהילים 85
| לַמְנַצֵּחַ ׀ לִבְנֵי־קֹרַח מִזְמֽוֹר׃ רָצִיתָ יְהֹוָה אַרְצֶךָ שַׁבְתָּ (שבות) [שְׁבִית] יַעֲקֹֽב׃ | 1 |
Adonai, you have been favorable to your land. You have restored the fortunes of Jacob [Supplanter].
| נָשָׂאתָ עֲוֺן עַמֶּךָ כִּסִּיתָ כׇל־חַטָּאתָם סֶֽלָה׃ | 2 |
You have forgiven the depravity (moral evil) of your people. You have covered all their habitual sin ·missing the mark·. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
| אָסַפְתָּ כׇל־עֶבְרָתֶךָ הֱשִׁיבוֹתָ מֵחֲרוֹן אַפֶּֽךָ׃ | 3 |
You have taken away all your wrath. You have turned from the fierceness of your anger.
| שׁוּבֵנוּ אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׁעֵנוּ וְהָפֵר כַּעַסְךָ עִמָּֽנוּ׃ | 4 |
Turn us, God of our yesha' ·salvation·, and cause your indignation toward us to cease.
| הַלְעוֹלָם תֶּאֱנַף־בָּנוּ תִּמְשֹׁךְ אַפְּךָ לְדֹר וָדֹֽר׃ | 5 |
Will you be angry with us forever? Will you draw out your anger to all generations?
| הֲֽלֹא־אַתָּה תָּשׁוּב תְּחַיֵּנוּ וְעַמְּךָ יִשְׂמְחוּ־בָֽךְ׃ | 6 |
Won’t you revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?
| הַרְאֵנוּ יְהֹוָה חַסְדֶּךָ וְיֶשְׁעֲךָ תִּתֶּן־לָֽנוּ׃ | 7 |
Show us your chesed ·loving-kindness·, Adonai. Grant us your yesha' ·salvation·.
| אֶשְׁמְעָה מַה־יְדַבֵּר הָאֵל ׀ יְהֹוָה כִּי ׀ יְדַבֵּר שָׁלוֹם אֶל־עַמּוֹ וְאֶל־חֲסִידָיו וְאַל־יָשׁוּבוּ לְכִסְלָֽה׃ | 8 |
I will sh'ma ·hear obey· what God, Adonai, will speak, for he will speak peace to his people, his saints; but let them not turn again to folly.
| אַךְ קָרוֹב לִירֵאָיו יִשְׁעוֹ לִשְׁכֹּן כָּבוֹד בְּאַרְצֵֽנוּ׃ | 9 |
Surely his yesha' ·salvation· is near those who fear him, that kavod ·weighty glory· may dwell in our land.
| חֶסֶד־וֶאֱמֶת נִפְגָּשׁוּ צֶדֶק וְשָׁלוֹם נָשָֽׁקוּ׃ | 10 |
Mercy and truth meet together. Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.
| אֱמֶת מֵאֶרֶץ תִּצְמָח וְצֶדֶק מִשָּׁמַיִם נִשְׁקָֽף׃ | 11 |
Truth springs out of the earth. Righteousness has looked down from heaven.
| גַּם־יְהֹוָה יִתֵּן הַטּוֹב וְאַרְצֵנוּ תִּתֵּן יְבוּלָֽהּ׃ | 12 |
Yes, Adonai will give that which is good. Our land will yield its increase.
| צֶדֶק לְפָנָיו יְהַלֵּךְ וְיָשֵׂם לְדֶרֶךְ פְּעָמָֽיו׃ | 13 |
Righteousness goes before him, And prepares the way for his steps.
