תהילים 33

1 רַנְּנוּ צַדִּיקִים בַּֽיהֹוָה לַיְשָׁרִים נָאוָה תְהִלָּֽה׃

Shout for joy, ye righteous, in Yahweh, To the upright, seemly is praise.

2 הוֹדוּ לַיהֹוָה בְּכִנּוֹר בְּנֵבֶל עָשׂוֹר זַמְּרוּ־לֽוֹ׃

Give ye thanks unto Yahweh with the lyre, With a harp of ten strings, make ye music unto him.

3 שִֽׁירוּ־לוֹ שִׁיר חָדָשׁ הֵיטִיבוּ נַגֵּן בִּתְרוּעָֽה׃

Sing unto him, a song that is new, With skill, sweep the strings, with loud noise.

4 כִּֽי־יָשָׁר דְּבַר־יְהֹוָה וְכׇל־מַעֲשֵׂהוּ בֶּאֱמוּנָֽה׃

For right is the word of Yahweh, and, all his work, is in faithfulness:

5 אֹהֵב צְדָקָה וּמִשְׁפָּט חֶסֶד יְהֹוָה מָלְאָה הָאָֽרֶץ׃

Who loveth righteousness and justice, With the lovingkindness of Yahweh, the earth is full.

6 בִּדְבַר יְהֹוָה שָׁמַיִם נַעֲשׂוּ וּבְרוּחַ פִּיו כׇּל־צְבָאָֽם׃

By the word of Yahweh, the heavens were made, and, by the spirit of his mouth, all their host:

7 כֹּנֵס כַּנֵּד מֵי הַיָּם נֹתֵן בְּאוֹצָרוֹת תְּהוֹמֽוֹת׃

Who gathered as into a skin-bottle the waters of the sea, Delivering, into treasuries, the roaring deeps.

8 יִֽירְאוּ מֵיְהֹוָה כׇּל־הָאָרֶץ מִמֶּנּוּ יָגוּרוּ כׇּל־יֹשְׁבֵי תֵבֵֽל׃

Let all the earth, stand in awe of Yahweh, Of him, be in dread, all ye inhabitants of the world;

9 כִּי הוּא אָמַר וַיֶּהִי הֽוּא־צִוָּה וַֽיַּעֲמֹֽד׃

For, he, spake, and it was, He, commanded, and it stood forth.

10 יְֽהֹוָה הֵפִיר עֲצַת־גּוֹיִם הֵנִיא מַחְשְׁבוֹת עַמִּֽים׃

Yahweh, hath frustrated the counsel of nations, hath brought to nothing the devices of peoples.

11 עֲצַת יְהֹוָה לְעוֹלָם תַּעֲמֹד מַחְשְׁבוֹת לִבּוֹ לְדֹר וָדֹֽר׃

The counsel of Yahweh, to times age-abiding, shall stand, The devices of his heart, from generation to generation.

12 אַשְׁרֵי הַגּוֹי אֲשֶׁר־יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהָיו הָעָם ׀ בָּחַר לְנַחֲלָה לֽוֹ׃

How happy the nation whose God is, Yahweh, The people he hath chosen as his own inheritance!

13 מִשָּׁמַיִם הִבִּיט יְהֹוָה רָאָה אֶֽת־כׇּל־בְּנֵי הָאָדָֽם׃

Out of the heavens, hath Yahweh looked, He hath seen all the sons of men:

14 מִֽמְּכוֹן־שִׁבְתּוֹ הִשְׁגִּיחַ אֶל כׇּל־יֹשְׁבֵי הָאָֽרֶץ׃

Out of his settled place of abode, hath he fixed his gaze on all the inhabitants of the earth:

15 הַיֹּצֵר יַחַד לִבָּם הַמֵּבִין אֶל־כׇּל־מַעֲשֵׂיהֶֽם׃

Who fashioneth their heart all together, Who understandeth all their doings.

16 אֵֽין־הַמֶּלֶךְ נוֹשָׁע בְּרׇב־חָיִל גִּבּוֹר לֹא־יִנָּצֵל בְּרׇב־כֹּֽחַ׃

Not a king, can be saved by greatness of force, nor, hero, deliver himself by greatness of strength:

17 שֶׁקֶר הַסּוּס לִתְשׁוּעָה וּבְרֹב חֵילוֹ לֹא יְמַלֵּֽט׃

A deception, is the horse, for victory, and, by his great strength, shall he not deliver.

18 הִנֵּה עֵין יְהֹוָה אֶל־יְרֵאָיו לַֽמְיַחֲלִים לְחַסְדּֽוֹ׃

Lo! the eye of Yahweh, is toward them who revere him, unto such as are waiting for his lovingkindness:

19 לְהַצִּיל מִמָּוֶת נַפְשָׁם וּלְחַיּוֹתָם בָּרָעָֽב׃

To rescue, from death, their soul, and to keep them alive in famine.

20 נַפְשֵׁנוּ חִכְּתָה לַֽיהֹוָה עֶזְרֵנוּ וּמָגִנֵּנוּ הֽוּא׃

Our own soul, hath waited for Yahweh, Our help and our shield, is he!

21 כִּי־בוֹ יִשְׂמַח לִבֵּנוּ כִּי בְשֵׁם קׇדְשׁוֹ בָטָֽחְנוּ׃

For, in him, shall our heart rejoice, For, in his holy Name, have we trusted.

22 יְהִי־חַסְדְּךָ יְהֹוָה עָלֵינוּ כַּאֲשֶׁר יִחַלְנוּ לָֽךְ׃

Be thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh, upon us, According as we have waited for thee.
