תהילים 149

1 הַלְלוּ ־ יָהּ ׀ שִׁירוּ לַֽיהֹוָה שִׁיר חָדָשׁ תְּהִלָּתוֹ בִּקְהַל חֲסִידִֽים׃

Praise Adonai! Sing to Adonai a new song, his tehilah ·praise song· in the assembly of the saints.

2 יִשְׂמַח יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּעֹשָׂיו בְּנֵֽי־צִיּוֹן יָגִילוּ בְמַלְכָּֽם׃

Let Israel [God prevails] rejoice in him who made them. Let the children of Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking] be joyful in their King.

3 יְהַלְלוּ שְׁמוֹ בְמָחוֹל בְּתֹף וְכִנּוֹר יְזַמְּרוּ־לֽוֹ׃

Let them praise his name in the dance! Let them sing zahmar ·musical praise· to him with tambourine and harp!

4 כִּֽי־רוֹצֶה יְהֹוָה בְּעַמּוֹ יְפָאֵר עֲנָוִים בִּישׁוּעָֽה׃

For Adonai takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with yishu'ah ·salvation·.

5 יַעְלְזוּ חֲסִידִים בְּכָבוֹד יְרַנְּנוּ עַל־מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָֽם׃

Let the saints rejoice in kavod ·weighty glory·. Let them sing for joy on their beds.

6 רוֹמְמוֹת אֵל בִּגְרוֹנָם וְחֶרֶב פִּיפִיּוֹת בְּיָדָֽם׃

May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

7 לַעֲשׂוֹת נְקָמָה בַּגּוֹיִם תּוֹכֵחוֹת בַּלְאֻמִּֽים׃

To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples;

8 לֶאְסֹר מַלְכֵיהֶם בְּזִקִּים וְנִכְבְּדֵיהֶם בְּכַבְלֵי בַרְזֶֽל׃

To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

9 לַעֲשׂוֹת בָּהֶם ׀ מִשְׁפָּט כָּתוּב הָדָר הוּא לְכׇל־חֲסִידָיו הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃

to execute on them the written judgment. All his saints have this honor. Halleluyah ·praise Yah·!
