בראשית 36
| וְאֵלֶּה תֹּלְדוֹת עֵשָׂו הוּא אֱדֽוֹם׃ | 1 |
And these [are] [the] accounts of Esau that [is] Edom.
| עֵשָׂו לָקַח אֶת־נָשָׁיו מִבְּנוֹת כְּנָעַן אֶת־עָדָה בַּת־אֵילוֹן הַֽחִתִּי וְאֶת־אׇהֳלִֽיבָמָה בַּת־עֲנָה בַּת־צִבְעוֹן הַֽחִוִּֽי׃ | 2 |
Esau he took wives his from [the] daughters of Canaan Adah [the] daughter of Elon the Hittite and Oholibamah [the] daughter of Anah [the] daughter of Zibeon the Hivite.
| וְאֶת־בָּשְׂמַת בַּת־יִשְׁמָעֵאל אֲחוֹת נְבָיֽוֹת׃ | 3 |
And Basemath [the] daughter of Ishmael [the] sister of Nebaioth.
| וַתֵּלֶד עָדָה לְעֵשָׂו אֶת־אֱלִיפָז וּבָשְׂמַת יָלְדָה אֶת־רְעוּאֵֽל׃ | 4 |
And she bore Adah to Esau Eliphaz and Basemath she bore Reuel.
| וְאׇהֳלִֽיבָמָה יָֽלְדָה אֶת־[יְעוּשׁ] (יעיש) וְאֶת־יַעְלָם וְאֶת־קֹרַח אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי עֵשָׂו אֲשֶׁר יֻלְּדוּ־לוֹ בְּאֶרֶץ כְּנָֽעַן׃ | 5 |
And Oholibamah she bore (Jeush *Q(K)*) and Jalam and Korah these [were] [the] sons of Esau who they were born to him in [the] land of Canaan.
| וַיִּקַּח עֵשָׂו אֶת־נָשָׁיו וְאֶת־בָּנָיו וְאֶת־בְּנֹתָיו וְאֶת־כׇּל־נַפְשׁוֹת בֵּיתוֹ וְאֶת־מִקְנֵהוּ וְאֶת־כׇּל־בְּהֶמְתּוֹ וְאֵת כׇּל־קִנְיָנוֹ אֲשֶׁר רָכַשׁ בְּאֶרֶץ כְּנָעַן וַיֵּלֶךְ אֶל־אֶרֶץ מִפְּנֵי יַעֲקֹב אָחִֽיו׃ | 6 |
And he took Esau wives his and sons his and daughters his and all [the] people of household his and livestock his and all animal[s] his and all possession[s] his which he had accumulated in [the] land of Canaan and he went to a land [away] from before Jacob brother his.
| כִּֽי־הָיָה רְכוּשָׁם רָב מִשֶּׁבֶת יַחְדָּו וְלֹא יָֽכְלָה אֶרֶץ מְגֽוּרֵיהֶם לָשֵׂאת אֹתָם מִפְּנֵי מִקְנֵיהֶֽם׃ | 7 |
For it was possession[s] their [too] much for dwelling together and not it was able [the] land of sojournings their to support them because of livestock their.
| וַיֵּשֶׁב עֵשָׂו בְּהַר שֵׂעִיר עֵשָׂו הוּא אֱדֽוֹם׃ | 8 |
And he dwelt Esau in [the] hill country of Seir Esau that [is] Edom.
| וְאֵלֶּה תֹּלְדוֹת עֵשָׂו אֲבִי אֱדוֹם בְּהַר שֵׂעִֽיר׃ | 9 |
And these [are] [the] accounts of Esau [the] ancestor of Edom in [the] hill country of Seir.
| אֵלֶּה שְׁמוֹת בְּנֵֽי־עֵשָׂו אֱלִיפַז בֶּן־עָדָה אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו רְעוּאֵל בֶּן־בָּשְׂמַת אֵשֶׁת עֵשָֽׂו׃ | 10 |
These [are] [the] names of [the] sons of Esau Eliphaz [the] son of Adah [the] wife of Esau Reuel [the] son of Basemath [the] wife of Esau.
| וַיִּהְיוּ בְּנֵי אֱלִיפָז תֵּימָן אוֹמָר צְפוֹ וְגַעְתָּם וּקְנַֽז׃ | 11 |
And they were [the] sons of Eliphaz Teman Omar Zepho and Gatam and Kenaz.
| וְתִמְנַע ׀ הָיְתָה פִילֶגֶשׁ לֶֽאֱלִיפַז בֶּן־עֵשָׂו וַתֵּלֶד לֶאֱלִיפַז אֶת־עֲמָלֵק אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי עָדָה אֵשֶׁת עֵשָֽׂו׃ | 12 |
And Timna - she was a concubine of Eliphaz [the] son of Esau and she bore to Eliphaz Amalek these [were] [the] sons of Adah [the] wife of Esau.
| וְאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי רְעוּאֵל נַחַת וָזֶרַח שַׁמָּה וּמִזָּה אֵלֶּה הָיוּ בְּנֵי בָשְׂמַת אֵשֶׁת עֵשָֽׂו׃ | 13 |
And these [were] [the] sons of Reuel Nahath and Zerah Shammah and Mizzah these they were [the] sons of Basemath [the] wife of Esau.
| וְאֵלֶּה הָיוּ בְּנֵי אׇהֳלִיבָמָה בַת־עֲנָה בַּת־צִבְעוֹן אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו וַתֵּלֶד לְעֵשָׂו אֶת־[יְעוּשׁ] (יעיש) וְאֶת־יַעְלָם וְאֶת־קֹֽרַח׃ | 14 |
And these they were [the] sons of Oholibamah [the] daughter of Anah [the] daughter of Zibeon [the] wife of Esau and she bore to Esau (Jeush *Q(K)*) and Jalam and Korah.
| אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי בְנֵֽי־עֵשָׂו בְּנֵי אֱלִיפַז בְּכוֹר עֵשָׂו אַלּוּף תֵּימָן אַלּוּף אוֹמָר אַלּוּף צְפוֹ אַלּוּף קְנַֽז׃ | 15 |
These [were] [the] chiefs of [the] sons of Esau [the] sons of Eliphaz [the] firstborn of Esau chief Teman chief Omar chief Zepho chief Kenaz.
| אַלּֽוּף־קֹרַח אַלּוּף גַּעְתָּם אַלּוּף עֲמָלֵק אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי אֱלִיפַז בְּאֶרֶץ אֱדוֹם אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי עָדָֽה׃ | 16 |
Chief Korah chief Gatam chief Amalek these [were] [the] chiefs of Eliphaz in [the] land of Edom these [were] [the] sons of Adah.
| וְאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי רְעוּאֵל בֶּן־עֵשָׂו אַלּוּף נַחַת אַלּוּף זֶרַח אַלּוּף שַׁמָּה אַלּוּף מִזָּה אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי רְעוּאֵל בְּאֶרֶץ אֱדוֹם אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי בָשְׂמַת אֵשֶׁת עֵשָֽׂו׃ | 17 |
And these [were] [the] sons of Reuel [the] son of Esau chief Nahath chief Zerah chief Shammah chief Mizzah these [were] [the] chiefs of Reuel in [the] land of Edom these [were] [the] sons of Basemath [the] wife of Esau.
| וְאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי אׇהֳלִֽיבָמָה אֵשֶׁת עֵשָׂו אַלּוּף יְעוּשׁ אַלּוּף יַעְלָם אַלּוּף קֹרַח אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי אׇהֳלִֽיבָמָה בַּת־עֲנָה אֵשֶׁת עֵשָֽׂו׃ | 18 |
And these [were] [the] sons of Oholibamah [the] wife of Esau chief Jeush chief Jalam chief Korah these [were] [the] chiefs of Oholibamah [the] daughter of Anah [the] wife of Esau.
| אֵלֶּה בְנֵי־עֵשָׂו וְאֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵיהֶם הוּא אֱדֽוֹם׃ | 19 |
These [were] [the] sons of Esau and these [were] chiefs their that [is] Edom.
| אֵלֶּה בְנֵֽי־שֵׂעִיר הַחֹרִי יֹשְׁבֵי הָאָרֶץ לוֹטָן וְשׁוֹבָל וְצִבְעוֹן וַעֲנָֽה׃ | 20 |
These [were] [the] sons of Seir the Horite [the] inhabitants of the land Lotan and Shobal and Zibeon and Anah.
| וְדִשׁוֹן וְאֵצֶר וְדִישָׁן אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי הַחֹרִי בְּנֵי שֵׂעִיר בְּאֶרֶץ אֱדֽוֹם׃ | 21 |
And Dishon and Ezer and Dishan these [were] [the] chiefs of the Horite[s] [the] sons of Seir in [the] land of Edom.
| וַיִּהְיוּ בְנֵי־לוֹטָן חֹרִי וְהֵימָם וַאֲחוֹת לוֹטָן תִּמְנָֽע׃ | 22 |
And they were [the] sons of Lotan Hori and Hemam and [the] sister of Lotan [was] Timna.
| וְאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי שׁוֹבָל עַלְוָן וּמָנַחַת וְעֵיבָל שְׁפוֹ וְאוֹנָֽם׃ | 23 |
And these [were] [the] sons of Shobal Alvan and Manahath and Ebal Shepho and Onam.
| וְאֵלֶּה בְנֵֽי־צִבְעוֹן וְאַיָּה וַעֲנָה הוּא עֲנָה אֲשֶׁר מָצָא אֶת־הַיֵּמִם בַּמִּדְבָּר בִּרְעֹתוֹ אֶת־הַחֲמֹרִים לְצִבְעוֹן אָבִֽיו׃ | 24 |
And these [were] [the] sons of Zibeon and Aiah and Anah he [was] Anah who he found the hot springs in the wilderness when was pasturing he the donkeys of Zibeon father his.
| וְאֵלֶּה בְנֵֽי־עֲנָה דִּשֹׁן וְאׇהֳלִיבָמָה בַּת־עֲנָֽה׃ | 25 |
And these [were] [the] children of Anah Dishon and Oholibamah [the] daughter of Anah.
| וְאֵלֶּה בְּנֵי דִישָׁן חֶמְדָּן וְאֶשְׁבָּן וְיִתְרָן וּכְרָֽן׃ | 26 |
And these [were] [the] sons of Dishan Hemdan and Eshban and Ithran and Keran.
| אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי־אֵצֶר בִּלְהָן וְזַעֲוָן וַעֲקָֽן׃ | 27 |
These [were] [the] sons of Ezer Bilhan and Zaavan and Akan.
| אֵלֶּה בְנֵֽי־דִישָׁן עוּץ וַאֲרָֽן׃ | 28 |
These [were] [the] sons of Dishan Uz and Aran.
| אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי הַחֹרִי אַלּוּף לוֹטָן אַלּוּף שׁוֹבָל אַלּוּף צִבְעוֹן אַלּוּף עֲנָֽה׃ | 29 |
These [were] [the] chiefs of the Horite[s] chief Lotan chief Shobal chief Zibeon chief Anah.
| אַלּוּף דִּשֹׁן אַלּוּף אֵצֶר אַלּוּף דִּישָׁן אֵלֶּה אַלּוּפֵי הַחֹרִי לְאַלֻּפֵיהֶם בְּאֶרֶץ שֵׂעִֽיר׃ | 30 |
Chief Dishon chief Ezer chief Dishan these [were] [the] chiefs of the Horite[s] to chiefs their in [the] land of Seir.
| וְאֵלֶּה הַמְּלָכִים אֲשֶׁר מָלְכוּ בְּאֶרֶץ אֱדוֹם לִפְנֵי מְלׇךְ־מֶלֶךְ לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ | 31 |
And these [were] the kings who they reigned in [the] land of Edom before reigned a king of [the] people of Israel.
| וַיִּמְלֹךְ בֶּאֱדוֹם בֶּלַע בֶּן־בְּעוֹר וְשֵׁם עִירוֹ דִּנְהָֽבָה׃ | 32 |
And he reigned in Edom Bela [the] son of Beor and [the] name of city his [was] Dinhabah.
| וַיָּמׇת בָּלַע וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו יוֹבָב בֶּן־זֶרַח מִבׇּצְרָֽה׃ | 33 |
And he died Bela and he reigned in place of him Jobab [the] son of Zerah from Bozrah.
| וַיָּמׇת יוֹבָב וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו חֻשָׁם מֵאֶרֶץ הַתֵּימָנִֽי׃ | 34 |
And he died Jobab and he reigned in place of him Husham from [the] land of the Temanite[s].
| וַיָּמׇת חֻשָׁם וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו הֲדַד בֶּן־בְּדַד הַמַּכֶּה אֶת־מִדְיָן בִּשְׂדֵה מוֹאָב וְשֵׁם עִירוֹ עֲוִֽית׃ | 35 |
And he died Husham and he reigned in place of him Hadad [the] son of Bedad who defeated Midian in [the] region of Moab and [the] name of city his [was] Avith.
| וַיָּמׇת הֲדָד וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו שַׂמְלָה מִמַּשְׂרֵקָֽה׃ | 36 |
And he died Hadad and he reigned in place of him Samlah from Masrekah.
| וַיָּמׇת שַׂמְלָה וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו שָׁאוּל מֵרְחֹבוֹת הַנָּהָֽר׃ | 37 |
And he died Samlah and he reigned in place of him Shaul from Rehoboth the River.
| וַיָּמׇת שָׁאוּל וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו בַּעַל חָנָן בֶּן־עַכְבּֽוֹר׃ | 38 |
And he died Shaul and he reigned in place of him Baal-Hanan [the] son of Achbor.
| וַיָּמׇת בַּעַל חָנָן בֶּן־עַכְבּוֹר וַיִּמְלֹךְ תַּחְתָּיו הֲדַר וְשֵׁם עִירוֹ פָּעוּ וְשֵׁם אִשְׁתּוֹ מְהֵֽיטַבְאֵל בַּת־מַטְרֵד בַּת מֵי זָהָֽב׃ | 39 |
And he died Baal-Hanan [the] son of Achbor and he reigned in place of him Hadar and [the] name of city his [was] Pau and [the] name of wife his [was] Mehetabel [the] daughter of Matred [the] daughter of Me-Zahab.
| וְאֵלֶּה שְׁמוֹת אַלּוּפֵי עֵשָׂו לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לִמְקֹמֹתָם בִּשְׁמֹתָם אַלּוּף תִּמְנָע אַלּוּף עַֽלְוָה אַלּוּף יְתֵֽת׃ | 40 |
And these [were] [the] names of [the] chiefs of Esau to clans their to places their by names their chief Timna chief Alvah chief Jetheth.
| אַלּוּף אׇהֳלִיבָמָה אַלּוּף אֵלָה אַלּוּף פִּינֹֽן׃ | 41 |
Chief Oholibamah chief Elah chief Pinon.
| אַלּוּף קְנַז אַלּוּף תֵּימָן אַלּוּף מִבְצָֽר׃ | 42 |
Chief Kenaz chief Teman chief Mibzar.
| אַלּוּף מַגְדִּיאֵל אַלּוּף עִירָם אֵלֶּה ׀ אַלּוּפֵי אֱדוֹם לְמֹֽשְׁבֹתָם בְּאֶרֶץ אֲחֻזָּתָם הוּא עֵשָׂו אֲבִי אֱדֽוֹם׃ | 43 |
Chief Magdiel chief Iram these - [were] [the] chiefs of Edom to dwelling places their in [the] land of possession their that [was] Esau [the] ancestor of Edom.
