[A Psalm by David, when he fled from Absalom his son.] LORD, how my adversaries have increased. Many rise up against me.
| רבים אמרים לנפשי אין ישועתה לו באלהים סלה | 2 |
Many there are who say of my soul, "There is no salvation for him in God." (Selah)
| ואתה יהוה מגן בעדי כבודי ומרים ראשי | 3 |
But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
| קולי אל-יהוה אקרא ויענני מהר קדשו סלה | 4 |
I cried out to the LORD with my voice, and he answered me from his holy mountain. (Selah)
| אני שכבתי ואישנה הקיצותי--כי יהוה יסמכני | 5 |
I lay down and slept. I awoke, for the LORD sustains me.
| לא-אירא מרבבות עם-- אשר סביב שתו עלי | 6 |
I am not afraid of ten thousands of people who have set themselves against me on every side.
| קומה יהוה הושיעני אלהי-- כי-הכית את-כל-איבי לחי שני רשעים שברת | 7 |
Arise, LORD. Save me, my God. For you slap all my enemies in the face. You break the teeth of the wicked.
| ליהוה הישועה על-עמך ברכתך סלה | 8 |
Salvation belongs to the LORD. Your blessing is upon your people. (Selah)
