תהילים 147
| הללו-יה כי-טוב זמרה אלהינו-- כי-נעים נאוה תהלה | 1 |
Praise ye Jehovah, for it is good to sing praises to our God. For it is pleasant, and praise is comely.
| בונה ירושלם יהוה נדחי ישראל יכנס | 2 |
Jehovah builds up Jerusalem. He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.
| הרפא לשבורי לב ומחבש לעצבותם | 3 |
He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
| מונה מספר לכוכבים לכלם שמות יקרא | 4 |
He counts the number of the stars. He calls them all by names.
| גדול אדונינו ורב-כח לתבונתו אין מספר | 5 |
Great is our Lord, and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite.
| מעודד ענוים יהוה משפיל רשעים עדי-ארץ | 6 |
Jehovah upholds the meek. He brings the wicked down to the ground.
| ענו ליהוה בתודה זמרו לאלהינו בכנור | 7 |
Sing to Jehovah with thanksgiving. Sing praises upon the harp to our God,
| המכסה שמים בעבים-- המכין לארץ מטר המצמיח הרים חציר | 8 |
who covers the heavens with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass to grow upon the mountains.
| נותן לבהמה לחמה לבני ערב אשר יקראו | 9 |
He gives to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.
| לא בגבורת הסוס יחפץ לא-בשוקי האיש ירצה | 10 |
He does not delight in the strength of the horse. He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.
| רוצה יהוה את-יראיו-- את-המיחלים לחסדו | 11 |
Jehovah takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his loving kindness.
| שבחי ירושלם את-יהוה הללי אלהיך ציון | 12 |
Praise Jehovah, O Jerusalem. Praise thy God, O Zion.
| כי-חזק בריחי שעריך ברך בניך בקרבך | 13 |
For he has strengthened the bars of thy gates. He has blessed thy sons within thee.
| השם-גבולך שלום חלב חטים ישביעך | 14 |
He makes peace in thy borders. He fills thee with the finest of the wheat.
| השלח אמרתו ארץ עד-מהרה ירוץ דברו | 15 |
He sends out his commandment upon earth. His word runs very swiftly.
| הנתן שלג כצמר כפור כאפר יפזר | 16 |
He gives snow like wool. He scatters the hoar-frost like ashes.
| משליך קרחו כפתים לפני קרתו מי יעמד | 17 |
He casts forth his ice like morsels. Who can stand before his cold?
| ישלח דברו וימסם ישב רוחו יזלו-מים | 18 |
He sends out his word, and melts them. He causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow.
| מגיד דברו ליעקב חקיו ומשפטיו לישראל | 19 |
He shows his word to Jacob, his statutes and his ordinances to Israel.
| לא עשה כן לכל-גוי-- ומשפטים בל-ידעום הללו-יה | 20 |
He has not dealt so with any nation. And as for his ordinances, they have not known them. Praise ye Jehovah.
