תהילים 136

1 הודו ליהוה כי-טוב כי לעולם חסדו

Oh, give thanks to Yahweh; for he is good, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever.

2 הודו לאלהי האלהים כי לעולם חסדו

Oh, give thanks to the God of gods, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever.

3 הודו לאדני האדנים כי לעולם חסדו

Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever.

4 לעשה נפלאות גדלות לבדו כי לעולם חסדו

Give thanks to him who alone does great wonders, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever—

5 לעשה השמים בתבונה כי לעולם חסדו

to him who by wisdom made the heavens, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever.

6 לרקע הארץ על-המים כי לעולם חסדו

Give thanks to him who spread out the earth above the waters, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever—

7 לעשה אורים גדלים כי לעולם חסדו

to him who made great lights, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever.

8 את-השמש לממשלת ביום כי לעולם חסדו

Give thank to him who gave the sun to rule by day, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever—

9 את-הירח וכוכבים לממשלות בלילה כי לעולם חסדו

the moon and stars to rule by night, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever.

10 למכה מצרים בבכוריהם כי לעולם חסדו

Give thanks to him who killed the firstborn of Egypt, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever—

11 ויוצא ישראל מתוכם כי לעולם חסדו

and brought out Israel from among them, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever—

12 ביד חזקה ובזרוע נטויה כי לעולם חסדו

with a strong hand and a raised arm, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever.

13 לגזר ים-סוף לגזרים כי לעולם חסדו

Give thanks to him who divided the Sea of Reeds, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever—

14 והעביר ישראל בתוכו כי לעולם חסדו

and made Israel to pass through the middle of it, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever—

15 ונער פרעה וחילו בים-סוף כי לעולם חסדו

but overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Sea of Reeds, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever.

16 למוליך עמו במדבר כי לעולם חסדו

Give thanks to him who led his people through the wilderness, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever—

17 למכה מלכים גדלים כי לעולם חסדו

to him who killed great kings, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever.

18 ויהרג מלכים אדירים כי לעולם חסדו

Give thanks to him who killed famous kings, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever—

19 לסיחון מלך האמרי כי לעולם חסדו

Sihon king of the Amorites, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever—

20 ולעוג מלך הבשן כי לעולם חסדו

and Og king of Bashan, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever.

21 ונתן ארצם לנחלה כי לעולם חסדו

Give thanks to him who gave their land as an inheritance, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever—

22 נחלה לישראל עבדו כי לעולם חסדו

an inheritance to Israel his servant, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever—

23 שבשפלנו זכר לנו כי לעולם חסדו

to him who called us to mind and helped us in our humiliation, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever.

24 ויפרקנו מצרינו כי לעולם חסדו

Give thanks to him who has given us victory over our enemies, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever—

25 נתן לחם לכל-בשר כי לעולם חסדו

who gives food to all living beings, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever.

26 הודו לאל השמים כי לעולם חסדו

Oh, give thanks to the God of heaven, for his covenant faithfulness endures forever.
