שופטים 3

1 ואלה הגוים אשר הניח יהוה לנסות בם את ישראל את כל אשר לא ידעו את כל מלחמות כנען

and these [the] nation which to rest LORD to/for to test in/on/with them [obj] Israel [obj] all which not to know [obj] all battle Canaan

2 רק למען דעת דרות בני ישראל ללמדם מלחמה--רק אשר לפנים לא ידעום

except because to know generation son: descendant/people Israel to/for to learn: teach them battle except which to/for face: before not to know them

3 חמשת סרני פלשתים וכל הכנעני והצידני והחוי ישב הר הלבנון--מהר בעל חרמון עד לבוא חמת

five lord Philistine and all [the] Canaanite and [the] Sidonian and [the] Hivite to dwell mountain: mount [the] (Mount) Lebanon from mountain: mount (Mount) Baal-hermon (Mount) Baal-hermon till Lebo-(Hamath) Hamath

4 ויהיו לנסות בם את ישראל--לדעת הישמעו את מצות יהוה אשר צוה את אבותם ביד משה

5 ובני ישראל ישבו בקרב הכנעני החתי והאמרי והפרזי והחוי והיבוסי

6 ויקחו את בנותיהם להם לנשים ואת בנותיהם נתנו לבניהם ויעבדו את אלהיהם

7 ויעשו בני ישראל את הרע בעיני יהוה וישכחו את יהוה אלהיהם ויעבדו את הבעלים ואת האשרות

8 ויחר אף יהוה בישראל וימכרם ביד כושן רשעתים מלך ארם נהרים ויעבדו בני ישראל את כושן רשעתים שמנה שנים

10 ותהי עליו רוח יהוה וישפט את ישראל ויצא למלחמה ויתן יהוה בידו את כושן רשעתים מלך ארם ותעז ידו על כושן רשעתים

13 ויאסף אליו את בני עמון ועמלק וילך ויך את ישראל ויירשו את עיר התמרים

16 ויעש לו אהוד חרב ולה שני פיות--גמד ארכה ויחגר אותה מתחת למדיו על ירך ימינו

17 ויקרב את המנחה לעגלון מלך מואב ועגלון איש בריא מאד

18 ויהי כאשר כלה להקריב את המנחה וישלח את העם נשאי המנחה

19 והוא שב מן הפסילים אשר את הגלגל ויאמר דבר סתר לי אליך המלך ויאמר הס--ויצאו מעליו כל העמדים עליו

20 ואהוד בא אליו והוא ישב בעלית המקרה אשר לו לבדו ויאמר אהוד דבר אלהים לי אליך ויקם מעל הכסא

21 וישלח אהוד את יד שמאלו ויקח את החרב מעל ירך ימינו ויתקעה בבטנו

23 ויצא אהוד המסדרונה ויסגר דלתות העליה בעדו--ונעל

24 והוא יצא ועבדיו באו ויראו והנה דלתות העליה נעלות ויאמרו אך מסיך הוא את רגליו בחדר המקרה

25 ויחילו עד בוש והנה איננו פתח דלתות העליה ויקחו את המפתח ויפתחו והנה אדניהם נפל ארצה מת

26 ואהוד נמלט עד התמהמהם והוא עבר את הפסילים וימלט השעירתה

27 ויהי בבואו ויתקע בשופר בהר אפרים וירדו עמו בני ישראל מן ההר והוא לפניהם

28 ויאמר אלהם רדפו אחרי כי נתן יהוה את איביכם את מואב בידכם וירדו אחריו וילכדו את מעברות הירדן למואב ולא נתנו איש לעבר

29 ויכו את מואב בעת ההיא כעשרת אלפים איש--כל שמן וכל איש חיל ולא נמלט איש

and to smite [obj] Moab in/on/with time [the] he/she/it like/as ten thousand man all rich and all man strength and not to escape man: anyone

30 ותכנע מואב ביום ההוא תחת יד ישראל ותשקט הארץ שמונים שנה

and be humble Moab in/on/with day [the] he/she/it underneath: owning hand: owner Israel and to quiet [the] land: country/planet eighty year

31 ואחריו היה שמגר בן ענת ויך את פלשתים שש מאות איש במלמד הבקר ויושע גם הוא את ישראל

and after him to be Shamgar son: child Anath and to smite [obj] Philistine six hundred man in/on/with oxgoad [the] cattle and to save also he/she/it [obj] Israel
