יהושע 12

1 ואלה מלכי הארץ אשר הכו בני ישראל וירשו את ארצם בעבר הירדן מזרחה השמש--מנחל ארנון עד הר חרמון וכל הערבה מזרחה

And these are the kings of the land whom the children of Israel smote, and whose land they took possession of on the other side of the Jordan, toward the rising of the sun, from the river Arnon unto mount Chermon, and all the plain on the east:

2 סיחון מלך האמרי היושב בחשבון--משל מערוער אשר על שפת נחל ארנון ותוך הנחל וחצי הגלעד ועד יבק הנחל גבול בני עמון

Sichon the king of the Emorites, who dwelt in Cheshbon, and ruled from 'Aro'er, which is upon the bank of the brook Arnon, and over the land in the middle of the brook, and from half Gil'ad, even unto the brook Yabbok, the boundary of the children of 'Ammon;

3 והערבה עד ים כנרות מזרחה ועד ים הערבה ים המלח מזרחה דרך בית הישמות ומתימן--תחת אשדות הפסגה

And over the plain up to the sea of Kinneroth on the east, and up to the sea of the plain, the salt sea on the east, on the way to Beth-hayeshimoth; and at the south, under the declivities of Pisgah;

4 וגבול עוג מלך הבשן מיתר הרפאים--היושב בעשתרות ובאדרעי

And the territory of 'Og the king of Bashan, who was of the remnant of the Rephaim, that dwelt at 'Ashtaroth and at Edre'i,

5 ומשל בהר חרמון ובסלכה ובכל הבשן עד גבול הגשורי והמעכתי וחצי הגלעד--גבול סיחון מלך חשבון

And reigned over mount Chermon, and over Salchah, and over all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Ma'achathites, and half Gil'ad, [to] the boundary of Sichon the king of Cheshbon.

6 משה עבד יהוה ובני ישראל הכום ויתנה משה עבד יהוה ירשה לראובני ולגדי ולחצי שבט המנשה

These did Moses the servant of the Lord and the children of Israel smite; and Moses the servant of the Lord gave it for a possession unto the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Menasseh.

7 ואלה מלכי הארץ אשר הכה יהושע ובני ישראל בעבר הירדן ימה מבעל גד בבקעת הלבנון ועד ההר החלק העלה שעירה ויתנה יהושע לשבטי ישראל ירשה--כמחלקתם

And these are the kings of the country whom Joshua and the children of Israel smote on this side of the Jordan on the west, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon as far as the bald mountain, that goeth up to Seir; and Joshua gave it unto the tribes of Israel for a possession, according to their divisions;

8 בהר ובשפלה ובערבה ובאשדות ובמדבר ובנגב--החתי האמרי והכנעני הפרזי החוי והיבוסי

In the mountains, and in the lowlands, and in the plain, and in the declivities, and in the wilderness, and in the south country: the Hittites, the Emorites, and the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

9 מלך יריחו אחד מלך העי אשר מצד בית אל אחד

The king of Jericho, one; the king of 'Ai, which was beside Bethel one;

10 מלך ירושלם אחד מלך חברון אחד

The king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one;

11 מלך ירמות אחד מלך לכיש אחד

The king of Yarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one;

12 מלך עגלון אחד מלך גזר אחד

The king of 'Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one;

13 מלך דבר אחד מלך גדר אחד

The king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one;

14 מלך חרמה אחד מלך ערד אחד

The king of Chormah, one; the king of 'Arad, one;

15 מלך לבנה אחד מלך עדלם אחד

The king of Libnah, one; the king of 'Adullam, one;

16 מלך מקדה אחד מלך בית אל אחד

The king of Makkedah, one; the king of Beth'el, one;

17 מלך תפוח אחד מלך חפר אחד

The king of Tappuach, one; the king of Chepher, one;

18 מלך אפק אחד מלך לשרון אחד

The king of Aphek, one; the king of Lasharon, one;

19 מלך מדון אחד מלך חצור אחד

The king of Madon, one; the king of Chazor, one;

20 מלך שמרון מראון אחד מלך אכשף אחד

The king of Shimron-meron, one; the king of Achshaph, one;

21 מלך תענך אחד מלך מגדו אחד

The king of Ta'anach, one; the king of Megiddo, one;

22 מלך קדש אחד מלך יקנעם לכרמל אחד

The king of Kedesh, one; the king of Yokne'am on Carmel, one;

23 מלך דור לנפת דור אחד מלך גוים לגלגל אחד

The king of Dor in the district of Dor, one; the king of Goyim in Gilgal, one;

24 מלך תרצה אחד כל מלכים שלשים ואחד

The king of Tirzah, one: in all thirty and one kings.
