איוב 15

1 ויען אליפז התימני ויאמר

and to answer Eliphaz [the] Temanite and to say

2 החכם יענה דעת-רוח וימלא קדים בטנו

wise to answer knowledge spirit: breath and to fill east belly: abdomen his

3 הוכח בדבר לא-יסכון ומלים לא-יועיל בם

to rebuke in/on/with word: speaking not be useful and speech not to gain in/on/with them

4 אף-אתה תפר יראה ותגרע שיחה לפני-אל

also you(m. s.) to break fear and to dimish meditation to/for face: before God

5 כי יאלף עונך פיך ותבחר לשון ערומים

for to teach/learn iniquity: crime your lip your and to choose tongue prudent

6 ירשיעך פיך ולא-אני ושפתיך יענו-בך

be wicked you lip your and not I and lips your to answer in/on/with you

7 הראישון אדם תולד ולפני גבעות חוללת

first man to beget and to/for face: before hill to twist: give birth

8 הבסוד אלוה תשמע ותגרע אליך חכמה

in/on/with counsel god to hear: hear and to dimish to(wards) you wisdom

9 מה-ידעת ולא נדע תבין ולא-עמנו הוא

what? to know and not to know to understand and not with us he/she/it

10 גם-שב גם-ישיש בנו-- כביר מאביך ימים

also be gray also aged in/on/with us mighty from father your day: old

11 המעט ממך תנחומות אל ודבר לאט עמך

little from you consolation God and word to/for softly with you

12 מה-יקחך לבך ומה-ירזמון עיניך

what? to take: take you heart your and what? to flash [emph?] eye your

13 כי-תשיב אל-אל רוחך והצאת מפיך מלין

for to return: turn back to(wards) God spirit your and to come out: speak from lip your speech

14 מה-אנוש כי-יזכה וכי-יצדק ילוד אשה

what? human for to clean and for to justify to beget woman

15 הן בקדשו לא יאמין ושמים לא-זכו בעיניו

look! (in/on/with holy his *Q(K)*) not be faithful and heaven not be clean in/on/with eye: seeing his

16 אף כי-נתעב ונאלח איש-שתה כמים עולה

also for to abhor and to corrupt man to drink like/as water injustice

17 אחוך שמע-לי וזה-חזיתי ואספרה

to explain you to hear: hear to/for me and this to see and to recount

18 אשר-חכמים יגידו ולא כחדו מאבותם

which wise to tell and not to hide from father their

19 להם לבדם נתנה הארץ ולא-עבר זר בתוכם

to/for them to/for alone them to give: give [the] land: country/planet and not to pass be a stranger in/on/with midst their

20 כל-ימי רשע הוא מתחולל ומספר שנים נצפנו לעריץ

all day wicked he/she/it to twist: writh in pain and number year to treasure to/for ruthless

21 קול-פחדים באזניו בשלום שודד יבואנו

voice: sound dread in/on/with ear his in/on/with peace: well-being to ruin to come (in): come him

22 לא-יאמין שוב מני-חשך וצפו (וצפוי) הוא אלי-חרב

not be faithful to return: return from darkness (and to watch *Q(k)*) he/she/it to(wards) sword

23 נדד הוא ללחם איה ידע כי-נכון בידו יום-חשך

to wander he/she/it to/for food: bread where? to know for to establish: prepare in/on/with hand his day darkness

24 יבעתהו צר ומצוקה תתקפהו כמלך עתיד לכידור

to terrify him distress and distress to prevail him like/as king ready to/for battle

25 כי-נטה אל-אל ידו ואל-שדי יתגבר

for to stretch to(wards) God hand his and to(wards) Almighty to prevail

26 ירוץ אליו בצואר בעבי גבי מגניו

to run: run to(wards) him in/on/with neck in/on/with thickness back/rim/brow shield his

27 כי-כסה פניו בחלבו ויעש פימה עלי-כסל

for to cover face his in/on/with fat his and to make excess fat upon loin

28 וישכון ערים נכחדות--בתים לא-ישבו למו אשר התעתדו לגלים

and to dwell city to hide house: home not to dwell to/for them which be ready to/for heap

29 לא-יעשר ולא-יקום חילו ולא-יטה לארץ מנלם

not to enrich and not to arise: establish strength: rich his and not to stretch to/for land: country/planet gain their

30 לא-יסור מני-חשך--ינקתו תיבש שלהבת ויסור ברוח פיו

not to turn aside: depart from darkness shoot his to wither flame and to turn aside: depart in/on/with spirit: breath lip his

31 אל-יאמן בשו נתעה כי-שוא תהיה תמורתו

not be faithful (in/on/with vanity: vain *Q(K)*) to go astray for vanity: vain to be exchange his

32 בלא-יומו תמלא וכפתו לא רעננה

in/on/with not day his to fill and branch his not be fresh

33 יחמס כגפן בסרו וישלך כזית נצתו

to injure like/as vine unripe grape his and to throw like/as olive flower his

34 כי-עדת חנף גלמוד ואש אכלה אהלי-שחד

for congregation profane solitary and fire to eat tent bribe

35 הרה עמל וילד און ובטנם תכין מרמה

to conceive trouble and to beget evil: wickedness and belly: womb their to establish: prepare deceit
