שמואל א 18
| ויהי ככלתו לדבר אל שאול ונפש יהונתן נקשרה בנפש דוד ויאהבו (ויאהבהו) יהונתן כנפשו | 1 |
and to be like/as to end: finish he to/for to speak: speak to(wards) Saul and soul Jonathan to conspire in/on/with soul David (and to love: lover him *Q(k)*) Jonathan like/as soul his
| ויקחהו שאול ביום ההוא ולא נתנו לשוב בית אביו | 2 |
and to take: take him Saul in/on/with day [the] he/she/it and not to give: allow him to/for to return: return house: household father his
| ויכרת יהונתן ודוד ברית באהבתו אתו כנפשו | 3 |
and to cut: make(covenant) Jonathan and David covenant in/on/with love his [obj] him like/as soul his
| ויתפשט יהונתן את המעיל אשר עליו ויתנהו לדוד ומדיו ועד חרבו ועד קשתו ועד חגרו | 4 |
and to strip Jonathan [obj] [the] robe which upon him and to give: give him to/for David and garment his and till sword his and till bow his and till belt his
| ויצא דוד בכל אשר ישלחנו שאול ישכיל וישמהו שאול על אנשי המלחמה וייטב בעיני כל העם וגם בעיני עבדי שאול | 5 |
and to come out: come David in/on/with all which to send: depart him Saul be prudent and to set: appoint him Saul upon human [the] battle and be good in/on/with eye: seeing all [the] people and also in/on/with eye: seeing servant/slave Saul
| ויהי בבואם בשוב דוד מהכות את הפלשתי ותצאנה הנשים מכל ערי ישראל לשור (לשיר) והמחלות לקראת שאול המלך--בתפים בשמחה ובשלשים | 6 |

| ותענינה הנשים המשחקות ותאמרן הכה שאול באלפו ודוד ברבבתיו | 7 |

| ויחר לשאול מאד וירע בעיניו הדבר הזה ויאמר נתנו לדוד רבבות ולי נתנו האלפים ועוד לו אך המלוכה | 8 |

| ויהי ממחרת ותצלח רוח אלהים רעה אל שאול ויתנבא בתוך הבית ודוד מנגן בידו כיום ביום והחנית ביד שאול | 10 |

| ויטל שאול את החנית ויאמר אכה בדוד ובקיר ויסב דוד מפניו פעמים | 11 |

| וירא שאול מלפני דוד כי היה יהוה עמו ומעם שאול סר | 12 |

| ויסרהו שאול מעמו וישמהו לו שר אלף ויצא ויבא לפני העם | 13 |

| ויהי דוד לכל דרכו משכיל ויהוה עמו | 14 |

| וירא שאול אשר הוא משכיל מאד ויגר מפניו | 15 |

| ויאמר שאול אל דוד הנה בתי הגדולה מרב אתה אתן לך לאשה--אך היה לי לבן חיל והלחם מלחמות יהוה ושאול אמר אל תהי ידי בו ותהי בו יד פלשתים | 17 |

| ויצו שאול את עבדו דברו אל דוד בלט לאמר הנה חפץ בך המלך וכל עבדיו אהבוך ועתה התחתן במלך | 22 |

| ויגדו עבדיו לדוד את הדברים האלה וישר הדבר בעיני דוד להתחתן במלך ולא מלאו הימים | 26 |

| ויקם דוד וילך הוא ואנשיו ויך בפלשתים מאתים איש ויבא דוד את ערלתיהם וימלאום למלך להתחתן במלך ויתן לו שאול את מיכל בתו לאשה | 27 |

| ויאסף שאול לרא מפני דוד--עוד ויהי שאול איב את דוד כל הימים | 29 |

| ויצאו שרי פלשתים ויהי מדי צאתם שכל דוד מכל עבדי שאול וייקר שמו מאד | 30 |
