דברי הימים א 25

1 ויבדל דויד ושרי הצבא לעבדה לבני אסף והימן וידותון הנביאים (הנבאים) בכנרות בנבלים ובמצלתים ויהי מספרם אנשי מלאכה לעבדתם

David also divided off with the chiefs of the host for the service of the sons of Assaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, those who uttered praise [accompanied] with harps, with psalteries, and with cymbals: and their number was of the men [that did] the work in their service.

2 לבני אסף זכור ויוסף ונתניה ואשראלה--בני אסף על יד אסף הנבא על ידי המלך

Of the sons of Assaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethanyah, and Asharelah, the sons of Assaph under the supervision of Assaph, who uttered praise under the supervision of the king.

3 לידותון--בני ידותון גדליהו וצרי וישעיהו חשביהו ומתתיהו ששה על ידי אביהם ידותון בכנור הנבא על הדות והלל ליהוה

Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedalyahu, and Zeri, and Jesha'yahu, Chashahyahu, and Matthithyahu, six, under the supervision of their father Jeduthun, who uttered praise with a harp, in order to give thanks and to utter praise unto the Lord.

4 להימן--בני הימן בקיהו מתניהו עזיאל שבואל וירימות חנניה חנני אליאתה גדלתי ורממתי עזר ישבקשה מלותי הותיר מחזיאת

Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiyahu, Matthanyahu, 'Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Chananyah, Chanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-'ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Machaz'oth;

5 כל אלה בנים להימן חזה המלך בדברי האלהים--להרים קרן ויתן האלהים להימן בנים ארבעה עשר--ובנות שלוש

All these sons of Heman the king's seer in the words of God, were to lift up the horn. And God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.

6 כל אלה על ידי אביהם בשיר בית יהוה במצלתים נבלים וכנרות לעבדת בית האלהים--על ידי המלך אסף וידותון והימן

All these were under the supervision of their father at the singing in the house of the Lord, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, for the service of the house of God, under the supervision of the king, Assaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.

7 ויהי מספרם עם אחיהם מלמדי שיר ליהוה כל המבין--מאתים שמונים ושמונה

And their number, with their brethren that were practised in singing unto the Lord, even all that were acquainted [therewith], was two hundred eighty and eight.

8 ויפילו גורלות משמרת לעמת כקטן כגדול--מבין עם תלמיד

And they cast lots, division against [division], the small well as the great, the one acquainted with his business together with the scholar.

9 ויצא הגורל הראשון לאסף--ליוסף גדליהו השני--הוא ואחיו ובניו שנים עשר

And there came forth the first lot for Assaph for Joseph; Gedalyahu was the second, he with his brethren and sons, being twelve:

10 השלשי זכור בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The third was Zaccur, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve:

11 הרביעי ליצרי--בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The fourth was for Yizri, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

12 החמישי נתניהו בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The fifth was Nethanyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve:

13 הששי בקיהו בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The sixth was Bukkiyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve:

14 השבעי ישראלה בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The seventh was Jessarelah, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

15 השמיני ישעיהו בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The eighth was Jesha'yahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

16 התשיעי מתניהו בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The ninth was Matthanyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

17 העשירי שמעי בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The tenth was Shim'i, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

18 עשתי עשר עזראל בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The eleventh was 'Asarel, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

19 השנים עשר לחשביה בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The twelfth was for Chashahyah, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

20 לשלשה עשר שובאל בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The thirteenth was Shuhael, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

21 לארבעה עשר מתתיהו בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The fourteenth was Matthithyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

22 לחמשה עשר לירמות בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The fifteenth was for Jeremoth, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

23 לששה עשר לחנניהו בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The sixteenth was for Chananyahu, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

24 לשבעה עשר לישבקשה בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The seventeenth was for Joshbekashah, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

25 לשמונה עשר לחנני בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The eighteenth was for Chanani, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

26 לתשעה עשר למלותי בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The nineteenth was for Mallothi, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

27 לעשרים לאליתה--בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The twentieth was for Eliyathah, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

28 לאחד ועשרים להותיר בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The one and twentieth was for Hothir, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

29 לשנים ועשרים לגדלתי בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The two and twentieth was for Giddalthi, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

30 לשלשה ועשרים למחזיאות בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The three and twentieth was for Machasioth, his sons, and his brethren, being twelve;

31 לארבעה ועשרים לרוממתי עזר בניו ואחיו שנים עשר

The four and twentieth was for Romamthi-'eser, his sons and his brethren, being twelve.
