Noah. The sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
| בני יפת--גמר ומגוג ומדי ויון ותבל ומשך ותירס | 5 |
The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
| ובני גמר--אשכנז ודיפת ותוגרמה | 6 |
The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
| ובני יון אלישה ותרשישה כתים ורודנים | 7 |
The sons of Javan: Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.
| בני חם--כוש ומצרים פוט וכנען | 8 |
The sons of Ham: Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
| ובני כוש--סבא וחוילה וסבתא ורעמא וסבתכא ובני רעמא שבא ודדן | 9 |
The sons of Cush: Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah: Sheba, and Dedan.

Cush became the father of Nimrod; he began to be a mighty hunter on the earth.
| ומצרים ילד את לודיים (לודים) ואת ענמים ואת להבים--ואת נפתחים | 11 |
Mizraim became the father of Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
| ואת פתרסים ואת כסלחים אשר יצאו משם פלשתים--ואת כפתרים | 12 |
and Pathrusim, and Casluhim (from whom came the Philistines), and Caphtorim.

Canaan became the father of Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,
| ואת היבוסי ואת האמרי ואת הגרגשי | 14 |
and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, and the Girgashites,
| ואת החוי ואת הערקי ואת הסיני | 15 |
and the Hivites, and the Arkites, and the Sinites,
| ואת הארודי ואת הצמרי ואת החמתי | 16 |
and the Arvadites, and the Zemarites, and the Hamathites.
| בני שם--עילם ואשור וארפכשד ולוד וארם ועוץ וחול וגתר ומשך | 17 |
The sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram. And the sons of Aram: Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash.

Arpachshad became the father of Kenan, and Kenan became the father of Shelah, and Shelah became the father of Eber.
| ולעבר ילד שני בנים שם האחד פלג כי בימיו נפלגה הארץ ושם אחיו יקטן | 19 |
To Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

Joktan became the father of Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,
| ואת הדורם ואת אוזל ואת דקלה | 21 |
and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah,
| ואת עיבל ואת אבימאל ואת שבא | 22 |
and Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba,
| ואת אופיר ואת חוילה ואת יובב כל אלה בני יקטן | 23 |
and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

Serug, Nahor, Terah,

Abram (that is, Abraham).
| בני אברהם--יצחק וישמעאל | 28 |
The sons of Abraham: Isaac, and Ishmael.
| אלה תלדותם בכור ישמעאל נביות וקדר ואדבאל ומבשם | 29 |
These are their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,
| משמע ודומה משא חדד ותימא | 30 |
Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,
| יטור נפיש וקדמה אלה הם בני ישמעאל | 31 |
Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.
| ובני קטורה פילגש אברהם ילדה את זמרן ויקשן ומדן ומדין--וישבק ושוח ובני יקשן שבא ודדן | 32 |
The sons of Keturah, Abraham's secondary wife: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. The sons of Jokshan: Sheba, and Dedan.

The sons of Midian: Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the sons of Keturah.

Abraham became the father of Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau, and Israel.
| בני עשו--אליפז רעואל ויעוש ויעלם וקרח | 35 |
The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah.
| בני אליפז--תימן ואומר צפי וגעתם קנז ותמנע ועמלק | 36 |
The sons of Eliphaz: Teman, and Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, Kenaz; and by Timna: Amalek.
| בני רעואל--נחת זרח שמה ומזה | 37 |
The sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.
| ובני שעיר לוטן ושובל וצבעון וענה ודישן ואצר ודישן | 38 |
The sons of Seir: Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.
| ובני לוטן חרי והומם ואחות לוטן תמנע | 39 |
The sons of Lotan: Hori, and Hemam; and Timna was Lotan's sister.
| בני שובל עלין ומנחת ועיבל שפי ואונם ובני צבעון איה וענה | 40 |
The sons of Shobal: Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam. The sons of Zibeon: Aiah, and Anah.

The sons of Anah: Dishon. The sons of Dishon: Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Keran.
| בני אצר בלהן וזעון יעקן בני דישון עוץ וארן | 42 |
The sons of Ezer: Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan. The sons of Dishan: Uz, and Aran.
| ואלה המלכים אשר מלכו בארץ אדום לפני מלך מלך לבני ישראל בלע בן בעור ושם עירו דנהבה | 43 |
Now these are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel: Bela the son of Beor; and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his place.
| וימת יובב וימלך תחתיו חושם מארץ התימני | 45 |
Jobab died, and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his place.
| וימת חושם וימלך תחתיו הדד בן בדד המכה את מדין בשדה מואב ושם עירו עיות (עוית) | 46 |
Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who struck Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his place; and the name of his city was Avith.
| וימת הדד וימלך תחתיו שמלה ממשרקה | 47 |
Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his place.
| וימת שמלה וימלך תחתיו שאול מרחבות הנהר | 48 |
Samlah died, and Shaul of Rehoboth-ha-Nahar reigned in his place.
| וימת שאול וימלך תחתיו בעל חנן בן עכבור | 49 |
Shaul died, and Baal Hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his place.
| וימת בעל חנן וימלך תחתיו הדד ושם עירו פעי ושם אשתו מהיטבאל בת מטרד בת מי זהב | 50 |
Baal Hanan died, and Hadad son of Bedad reigned in his place; and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Me-Zahab.

Hadad died. The chiefs of Edom were: chief Timna, chief Alvah, chief Jetheth,

chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon,
| אלוף קנז אלוף תימן אלוף מבצר | 53 |
chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar,
| אלוף מגדיאל אלוף עירם אלה אלופי אדום | 54 |
chief Magdiel, chief Iram. These are the chiefs of Edom.
