< Zekaria 3 >
1 A HOIKE mai la oia ia'u ia Iosua ke kahuna nui e ku ana imua o ka anela o Iehova, a ku mai la o Satana ma kona lima akau, e ku e ia ia.
And he shewed me, Joshua the high priest, standing before the messenger of Yahweh, —and, the Accuser, standing at his right hand, to accuse him.
2 I aku la o Iehova ia Satana, Na Iehova oe e papa aku, e Satana; na Iehova nana i koho o Ierusalema, e papa aku ia oe: aole anei keia he momokuahi i unuhiia'e mailoko mai o ke ahi?
Then said Yahweh unto the Accuser, Yahweh rebuke thee, O Accuser, Yea Yahweh rebuke thee, he who is choosing Jerusalem, —Is not, this, a brand snatched out of the fire?
3 A ua aahuia o Iosua i na kapa inoino, ia ia i ku ai imua o ka anela.
Now, Joshua, was clothed with filthy garments, —though standing before the messenger.
4 Olelo mai la kela, i mai la i ka poe e ku ana imua ona, penei, E lawe aku i na kapa inoino mai ona aku la. I mai la hoi oia ia ia, Aia hoi, ke lawe aku nei au i kou hewa mai ou aku la, a e hoaahu aku au ia oe i na aahu nani.
Then responded he and spake unto those who were standing before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from off him; and he said unto him, See! I have caused to pass from off thee, thine iniquity, And will cause thee to be clothed in robes of state.
5 Alaila i aku la au, E kau aku lakou i papale kahuna maikai maluna o kona poo. Nolaila, kau aku la lakou i ka papale kahuna maikai maluna o kona poo, a hoaahu aku la ia ia i na aahu; a ku mai la ka anela o Iehova.
Then said I, Let them put a clean turban upon his head, —So they put the clean turban upon his head, and clothed him with garments, and, the messenger of Yahweh, was standing up.
6 Alaila, ao mai la ka anela o Iehova ia Iosua, i ka i ana,
So then the messenger of Yahweh did solemnly affirm unto Joshua, saying:
7 Penei ka Iehova o na kaua i olelo mai ai, Ina e hele oe ma kuu mau aoao, a e malama hoi i ka'u mau kauoha ia oe, alaila oe e alii ai maluna o ko'u hale, a e malama hoi i na pahale o'u, a e haawi hoi au nou i na wahi e hele ai iwaena o ka poe e ku nei.
Thus, saith Yahweh of hosts, If, in my ways, thou wilt walk, and if, of my charge, thou wilt keep charge, Then, even thou, shalt govern my house, Moreover also, thou shalt have charge of my courts, —and I will give thee free access among these who stand by.
8 Ano hoi, e hoolohe mai oe, e Iosua ke kahuna nui e, o oe a me na hoaaloha e noho ana imua ou; no ka mea, he poe kanaka mea hoailona lakou: no ka mea, aia hoi, e kai mai auanei au i kuu kauwa o ka LALA.
Hear, I pray thee, O Joshua the high priest, thou and thy friends who are sitting before thee, for, men to serve as signs, they are, —For behold me! bringing in my servant, the Bud;
9 Aia hoi ka pohaku a'u i waiho ai imua o Iosua; a he ahiku na maka ma ua Pohaku hookahi la; a na'u no e kalai iho i kana kalaiia'na, wahi a Iehova o na kana, a e lawe aku au i ka hala o ia aina i ka la hookahi.
For lo! the stone which I have set before Joshua, Upon one stone, are Seven (pairs of) Eyes, —Behold me! cutting the engraving thereof, declareth Yahweh of hosts. So will I take away the iniquity of that land in one day.
10 Ia la la, e kahea aku kela kanaka keia kanaka i kona hoalauna, malalo o ke kumuwaina, a malalo o ka laau fiku, wahi a Iehova o na kaua.
In that day, declareth Yahweh of hosts, Ye shall invite one another, —[to come] under the vine and under the fig-tree.
