< Hoikeana 20 >

1 I KE aku la au i kekahi anela e iho mai ana, mai ka lani mai, me ke ki o ka luahohonu, a he kaulahao nui ma kona lima. (Abyssos g12)
Then I saw an angel coming down from Heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit, and upon his arm he carried a great chain. (Abyssos g12)
2 A lalau aku la ia i ka deragona, kela moo kahiko, oia hoi o ka diabolo, a o Satana hoi, a nakinaki iho la ia ia a paa i na makahiki hookahi tausani;
He laid hold of the Dragon--the ancient serpent--who is the Devil and the Adversary, and bound him for a thousand years, and hurled him into the bottomless pit.
3 A kiola aku la ia ia iloko o ka luahohonu, pani iho la, a hoailona iho la ia ia, i ole ia e hoowalewale hou aku i ko na aina, a pau na makahiki hookahi tausani; a mahope iho o keia mau mea, e kuu hou ia 'ku oia no kekahi manawa pokole. (Abyssos g12)
He closed the entrance and put a seal upon him in order that he might be unable to lead the nations astray any more until the thousand years were at an end. Afterwards he is to be set at liberty for a short time. (Abyssos g12)
4 A ike aku la au i na nohoalii, a noho lakou maluna iho, a ua haawiia na lakou e hoopai aku. A ike aku la au i na uhane o ka poe i okiia ko lakou poo no ka hoike ana ia Iesu, a no ka olelo a ke Akua, a me ka poe i hoomana ole i ka holoholona a me kona kii, aole hoi, i loaa kona hoailona ma ko lakou lae, aole hoi ma ko lakou lima; ola pu lakou me Kristo a hoomalu pu me ia i na makahiki hookahi tausani
And I saw thrones, and some who were seated on them, to whom judgment was entrusted. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded on account of the testimony that they had borne to Jesus and on account of God's Message, and also the souls of those who had not worshipped the Wild Beast or his statue, nor received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands; and they came to Life and were kings with Christ for a thousand years.
5 Aole i ola ke koena o ka poe make a pau ia mau makahiki hookahi tausani. Oia ke ala mua ana.
No one else who was dead rose to Life until the thousand years were at an end. This is the First Resurrection.
6 Pomaikai a hoano hoi ke kanaka ke loaa ia ia ke ala mua ana; aole e lanakila ka make alua maluna o lakou, aka, e lilo no lakou i poe kahuna no ke Akua a no Kristo, a na lakou e hoomalu pu me ia i na makahiki hookahi tausani.
Blessed and holy are those who share in the First Resurrection. The Second Death has no power over them, but they shall be priests to God and to Christ, and shall be kings with Christ for the thousand years.
7 A pau ia tausani makahiki, alaila e kuuia'ku o Satana, mai kona wahi paa;
But when the thousand years are at an end, the Adversary will be released from his imprisonment,
8 A e hele hou ia e hoowalewale i ko na aina, ma na kihi eha o ka honua, ia Goga a me Magoga, e hoakoakoa ia lakou i ke kaua; a ua like ka nui o lakou me ke one o ke kai.
and will go out to lead astray the nations in all the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, and assemble them for war, and they are like the sands on the seashore in number.
9 A hele lakou ma ka palahalaha o ka honua, a puni iho la kahi hoomoana'i ka poe hoano a me ke kulanakauhale aloha. Iho mai la ke ahi mai ke Akua, mai ka lani mai, a luku iho la ia lakou.
And they went up over the whole breadth of the earth and surrounded the encampment of God's people and the beloved city. But fire came down from Heaven and consumed them;
10 Kiolaia'ku la o ka diabole, nana lakou i hoowalewale, i ka loko o ke ahi a me ka luaipele, kahi o ka holoholona a me ke kaula wahahee, a e hoomainoino mau ia lakou i ke ao a me ka po, ia ao aku ia ao aku. (aiōn g165, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
and the Devil, who had been leading them astray, was thrown into the Lake of fire and sulphur where the Wild Beast and the false Prophet were, and day and night they will suffer torture until the Ages of the Ages. (aiōn g165, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
11 Ike aku la au i ka nohoalii keokeo nui, a me ka mea e noho ana iluna iho, holo aku la ka honua a me ka lani mai kona alo aku; aole i loaa hou kahi no laua.
Then I saw a great white throne and One who was seated on it, from whose presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.
12 A ike aku la au i ka poe make, i ka poe unku a me ka poe nui, e ku ana imua o ke Akua, a weheia iho la ua buke: a weheia no hoi kehahi buke hou, oia hoi ka buke o ke ola. Ua hookolokoloia ka poe make ma na mea i palapalaia iloko o na buke, mamuli o ka lakou hana ana.
And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing in front of the throne. And books were opened; and so was another book--namely, the Book of Life; and the dead were judged by the things recorded in the books in accordance with what their conduct had been.
13 Haawi mai la ke kai i ka poe make maloko ona; a haawi mai ka make a me ka po i ka poe make iloko o laua; a hoopaiia kela mea keia mea o lakou, e like me ka lakou hana ana. (Hadēs g86)
Then the sea yielded up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades yielded up the dead who were in them, and each man was judged in accordance with what his conduct had been. (Hadēs g86)
14 Kiolaia'ku la ka make a me ka po, iloko o ka loko o ke ahi; oia ka make alua. (Hadēs g86, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
Then Death and Hades were thrown into the Lake of fire; this is the Second Death--the Lake of fire. (Hadēs g86, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
15 A i ole i palapalaia kekahi iloko o ka buke o ke ola, kiolaia'ku la oia i ka loko ahi. (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
And if any one's name was not found recorded in the Book of Life he was thrown into the Lake of fire. (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
