Korineto I 4
1 E PONO i kanaka ke manao mai ia makou, he poe lawehana no Kristo, he poe puuku hoi no na mea pohihihi o ke Akua.
Thus let us be accounted of you as ministers of the Meshiha, and stewards of the mysteries of Aloha.
2 Eia hoi, ua kauohaia mai na puuku, i pololei lakou.
So now is it required of a steward that he be one found faithful.
3 He mea liilii loa ia'u, ke ahewaia mai a ke aponoia mai au e oukou, a me kanaka. He oiaio, aole au i ahewa, aole hoi i apono ia'u iho.
But to me it is a little thing to be Judged by you, or by any man; neither do I judge myself,
4 Aole au i ike pono i ko'u hewa, aole nae au i aponoia mai ilaila. Na ka Haku no wau e hookolokolo mai.
for of nothing in myself am I conscious; but not by this am I justified, but my judge is the Lord.
5 No ia mea, mai hoohewa e i kekahi mea, a hiki mai ka Haku, nana no e hoomaopopo mai na mea i hunaia o ka pouli, a e hoike mai hoi na manao o na naau; alaila e loaa mai i kela kanaka a i keia kanaka ka hoomaikaiia, mai ke Akua mai.
Therefore, do not judge before the time, until the Lord come, who will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and reveal the thoughts of hearts. Then will there be praise to each man from Aloha.
6 E na hoahanau, no oukou no ke hoopili nei au ia mau mea io'u nei, a me Apolo; i aoia oukou ma o maua nei aole e hookiekie ka manao maluna o ka mea i palapalaia, i ole oukou e kaena aku i kekahi maluna o kekahi.
BUT these things, my brethren, for your sakes I have applied to the person of myself and of Apolo, that through us you may learn not to think of us beyond what is written; and that one above his neighbour may not be exalted on account of any thing.
7 Owai ka mea i hoopakela ia oe? Heaha hoi kau mea i haawi ole ia mai nau? A ina i haawi wale ia mai ia, no ke aha la oe e kaena ai ia, me he mea la i haawi ole ia mai?
For who distinguisheth thee? Or, what hast thou which thou hast not received? And if thou hast received, why dost thou boast as if thou hadst not received?

Now you are satiated, and are rich, and without us have reigned. But I would that you did reign, that we might also reign with you!

But I consider that us, the apostles, Aloha hath set last, as unto death, to be a spectacle to the world, to angels, and to men,

We are fools for the sake of the Meshiha, but we are wise in the Meshiha; we are the weak, but you are the mighty; you are glorified, and we abased.

Until this hour we hunger and thirst, we are naked and beaten and have no fixed dwelling;

and we labour, working with our hands. They revile us, and we bless; they persecute us, and we endure;

they maltreat us, and we pray for them; as the refuse of the world are we made and the execration of all men until now.
14 Aole au e palapala aku i keia mau mea e hoohilahila ia oukou, aka, ke ao aku nei au ia oukou, e like me a'u poe keiki aloha.
Not as to shame you write I these things, but as my beloved children I admonish (you).
15 Ina paha he umi tausani kumu a oukou maloko o Kristo, aole hoi he nui na makua o oukou; no ka mea, ma ka euanelio, owau no ka mea nana oukou i hanau ai iloko o Kristo Iesu.
For if you have ten thousand teachers in the Meshiha, yet not many fathers; for in Jeshu Meshiha I have begotten you through the gospel.

I entreat then of you that you be like me.

WHEREFORE I have sent to you Timotheos, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, that he may remind you of my ways in the Meshiha, according to that which I teach in all the churches.

But if the Lord will, quickly come I unto you; and I will know not the words of them who exalt themselves, but their power.
20 No ka mea, aole ma ka olelo ke aupuni o ke Akua, ma ka mana no.
For the kingdom of Aloha is not in word, but in power.
21 Heaha ko oukou makemake? E hele paha wau io oukou la me ka laau hahau, me ke aloha paha, a me ka manao akahai?
How are you willing? with a rod shall I come to you, or with love and with the spirit of kindliness?
