1 Saboda haka ku zama masu koyi da Allah, kamar kaunatattun 'ya'yansa.
Become ye, therefore, imitators of God, as children beloved,
2 Ku yi zama cikin kauna kamar yadda Almasihu ya kaunace mu, ya kuma mika kansa sadaka da hadaya ga Allah dominmu, hadaya mai kanshi abin karba ga Allah.
And walk in love—even as, the Christ also, loved you, and delivered himself up in your behalf, an offering and sacrifice unto God, for a fragrance of sweet smell.
3 Fasikanci ko kowacce irin kazamta, ko kazamar lalata kada a ambace su a tsakaninku, don haka ya dace ga masu bi.
But, fornication, and all impurity, or covetousness, let it not be named among you—even as becometh saints;
4 Kada a ambaci batsa, maganar wauta ko alfasha wadanda ba su dace ba. Maimakon haka, mu zama masu godiya.
And shamelessness and foolish talking, or jesting, —which things are beneath you, —but, rather, giving of thanks;
5 Domin wannan kun sani cewa ba fasiki, ko mara tsarki, ko mai hadama wato mai bautar gumaka zai sami gado cikin mulkin Almasihu da Allah.
For, this, ye know, if ye take note—that no fornicator, or impure or greedy person, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of the Christ and God.
6 Kada kowa ya rude ku da maganganun wofi. Saboda wadannan abubuwa ne fushin Allah ke zuwa kan kangararrun 'ya'ya.
Let no one be deceiving you with empty words; for, because of these things, is coming the anger of God upon the sons of obstinacy:
7 Kada ku yi tarayya tare da su.
Do not, then, become co-partners with them;
8 Domin da ku duhu ne, amma yanzu ku haske ne cikin Ubangiji. Sai ku yi tafiya kamar 'ya'yan haske.
For ye were, at one time, darkness, but, now, are ye light in the Lord, —as children of light, be walking,
9 Saboda amfanin haske shine dukan alheri, adalci da gaskiya.
For, the fruit of the light, is in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth, —
10 Kuna bidar abin da Ubangiji ke murna da shi.
Putting to the test what is well-pleasing unto the Lord;
11 Kada ku sa hannu ga ayyuka marasa amfani da ayyukan duhu amma gara a tone su.
And be not joining in fellowship in the unfruitful works of darkness, but, rather, be even administering reproof;
12 Don abubuwan da suke yi a boye abin kunya ne a bayyana su.
For, of the secret things which are brought to pass by them, it is, shameful, even to speak!
13 Dukan abu, idan haske ya bayyana su, za a gan su.
All things, however, when reproved by the light, become manifest, for, all that of itself maketh manifest, is, light;
14 Domin duk abin da aka bayyana ya zama haske. Saboda haka aka ce, “Ka farka, kai mai barci, ka tashi daga cikin matattu; Almasihu kuwa zai haskaka bisanka”.
Wherefore it saith—Up! thou sleeper, and arise from among the dead, and the Christ will shine upon thee.
15 Saboda haka, ku maida hankali yadda kuke rayuwar ku, ba kamar mutane marasa hikima ba amma kamar masu hikima.
Be taking heed, therefore, exactly how ye are walking, —not as unwise, but as wise, —
16 Ku yi lura yadda kuke amfani da lokaci don kwanakin miyagu ne.
Buying out for yourselves the opportunity, because, the days, are evil;
17 Kada ku zama wawaye. Maimakon haka, ku fahimci ko menene nufin Ubangiji.
For this cause, do not become foolish, but have discernment as to what is the will of the Lord;
18 Kuma Kada ku bugu da ruwan inabi, don yana iya lalata rayuwa. Maimakon haka, ku cika da Ruhu Mai Tsarki.
And be not getting drunk with wine, in which is dissoluteness, but be getting filled in Spirit; —
19 Kuna magana da junanku cikin zabura da wakoki da wakokin ruhaniya, kuna rairawa da yabo da zuciyarku ga Ubangiji.
Speaking to yourselves, with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs; singing, and striking the strings, with your heart unto the Lord;
20 Kullum kuna ba da gaskiya domin dukan abubuwa cikin sunan Ubangiji Yesu ga Allah Uba.
Giving thanks, always, for all things, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto your God and Father;
21 Kuna sarayadda kanku ga juna cikin girmama Almasihu.
Submitting yourselves one to another in reverence of Christ, —
22 Mata, ku yi biyayya ga mazan ku kamar ga Ubangiji.
Ye wives, unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord,
23 Domin miji shine shugaban matarsa kamar yadda Almasihu yake shugaban ikilisiya. Shine kuma mai ceton jiki.
Because, a husband, is the head of his wife, as, the Christ also, is the head of the assembly, he, being the saviour of the body, —
24 Amma kamar yadda ikilisiya take biyayya ga Almasihu, haka kuma dole mata suyi ga mazajen su cikin kowanne abu.
Nevertheless, as, the assembly, submitteth herself unto the Christ, so, the wives, unto their husbands, in everything:
25 Mazaje, ku kaunaci matanku kamar yadda Almasihu ya kaunaci ikilisiya har ya ba da kansa dominta,
Ye husbands, be loving your wives, even as, the Christ also, loved the assembly, and delivered, himself, up in her behalf,
26 Ya yi wannan domin ya tsarkake ta. Ya wanke mu da ruwan wanki ta wurin kalma.
That, her, he might sanctify, having purified [her] with the bath of water, in declaration,
27 Ya yi wannan domin ya mika ma kansa ikilisiya mai daraja, ba tare da tabo ko cikas ko wani abu kamar wadannan, amma ta zama da tsarki da kuma mara aibi.
That, he, might present, unto himself, the assembly, all glorious, not having spot or wrinkle or any of such things, but that she should be holy and blameless;
28 Hakannan kuma, mazaje su kaunaci matansu kamar jikunnansu. Wanda yake kaunar matarsa yana kaunar kansa.
So, ought the husbands [also] to be loving their own wives, as their own bodies, —he that loveth his own wife, loveth himself,
29 Ba wanda ya taba kin jikinsa. Amma, yakan ciyadda shi yana kaunarsa, kamar yadda Almasihu ya kaunaci ikilisiya.
No one, in fact, ever yet hated, his own flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, —even as, the Christ, the assembly,
30 Domin mu gabobin jikinsa ne.
Because, members, are we of his body; —
31 “Domin wannan mutum zai rabu da ubansa da uwarsa ya manne wa matarsa, su biyu su zama nama daya”.
For this cause, will a man leave his father and his mother, and will cleave unto his wife, and, they two, shall become, one flesh.
32 Wannan asirin gaskiyar, da girma yake, amma ina magana ne game da Almasihu da ikilisiyarsa.
This sacred secret, is, great, —I, however, am speaking as to Christ and [as to] the assembly; —
33 Duk da haka, kowannenku dole ya kaunaci matarsa kamar kansa, matar kuma dole ta girmama mijinta.
Nevertheless, ye also, do ye, individually, each man be so loving, his own wife, as himself, and, the wife, [see] that she reverence her husband.
