2 Yohanna 1
1 Daga dattijon zuwa ga uwar gida zababbiya da yayanta, wadanda nake kauna da gaskiya, ba ni kadai ba, amma da dukan wadanda sun san gaskiya -
The Elder to the elect lady and her children. Truly I love you all, and not I alone, but also all who know the truth,
for the sake of the truth which is continually in our hearts and will be with us for ever. (aiōn g165)
3 Alheri da jinkai da salama za su kasance tare da mu, daga Allah Uba da kuma daga Yesu Almasihu Dan Uba, a cikin gaskiya da kauna.
Grace, mercy and peace will be with us from God the Father, and from Jesus Christ the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
4 Na yi murna sosai sa'anda na sami wadansu yayanki suna tafiya cikin gaskiya, kamar yadda muka karbi wannan umarni daga Uba.
It is an intense joy to me to have found some of your children living true Christian lives, in obedience to the command which we have received from the Father.
5 Yanzu ina rokon ki, uwar gida, ba kamar ina rubuta maki sabon umarni ba, amma wannan da muka samu tun da can, cewa mu kaunaci junanmu.
And now, dear lady, I pray you--writing to you, as I do, not a new command, but the one which we have had from the very beginning--let us love one another.
6 Wannan kuma itace kauna, cewa mu yi tafiya bisa ga umarnin sa. Wannan shine umarnin, daidai kamar yadda kuka ji da fari, da cewa ku yi tafiya a cikinsa.
The love of which I am speaking consists in our living in obedience to God's commands. God's command is that you should live in obedience to what you all heard from the very beginning.
7 Gama masu yaudara sun fito a duniya, wadanda ba su yarda cewa Yesu ya zo cikin jiki ba. Wannan ne mayaudari da kuma magabcin Almasihu.
For many deceivers have gone out into the world--men who do not acknowledge Jesus as Christ who has come in human nature. Such a one is 'the deceiver' and 'the anti-Christ.'
8 Ku dubi kanku, domin kada ku rasa abubuwan da mu duka muka yi aiki a kansu, amma domin ku karba dukan sakamon ku.
Keep guard over yourselves, so that you may not lose the results of your good deeds, but may receive back a full reward.
9 Duk wanda ya ci gaba da tafiya ba cikin koyarwa Almasihu ba, ba shi da Allah. Wanda ya zauna cikin koyarwar kwa yana tare da Uban da kuma Dan.
No one has God, who instead of remaining true to the teaching of Christ, presses on in advance: but he who remains true to that teaching has both the Father and the Son.
10 Duk wanda ya zo wurinku, ba tare da wannan koyarwar ba, kar ku karbe shi cikin gidanku, kada ma ku gaishe shi.
If any one who comes to you does not bring this teaching, do not receive him under your roof nor bid him Farewell.
11 Domin duk wanda ya gaishe shi ya yi tarayya da shi kenan cikin miyagun ayyukan sa.
He who bids him Farewell is a sharer in his evil deeds.
12 Ina da abubuwa dayawa da nake so in rubuta maki amma al'kalami tawada da takarda baza su iya daukar su duka ba. Amma duk da haka ina begen zuwa gare ki domin mu yi magana fuska da fuska, domin farin cikn mu ya zama cikakke.
I have a great deal to say to you all, but will not write it with paper and ink. Yet I hope to come to see you and speak face to face, so that your happiness may be complete.
13 Yayan yar'uwarki zababbiya suna gaishe ki.
The children of your elect sister send greetings to you.
