1 Don mai bi da kaɗe-kaɗe. Bisa ga gittit. Zabura ta Dawuda. Ya Ubangiji, shugabanmu, sunanka da girma take a cikin dukan duniya! Ka kafa ɗaukakarka bisa sammai.

For the Chief Musician; set to the Gittith. A Psalm of David. O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory upon the heavens.

2 Daga leɓunan yara da jarirai ka kafa yabo domin su sa abokan gābanka da masu ɗaukan fansa su yi shiru.

Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou established strength, because of thine adversaries, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

3 Sa’ad da na dubi sammai, aikin yatsotsinka, wata da taurari waɗanda ka ajiye a wurarensu,

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

4 wane ne mutum da kake tunawa da shi, ɗan mutum da kake lura da shi?

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

5 Ka yi shi ƙasa kaɗan da Allah ka yi masa rawani da ɗaukaka da girma.

For thou hast made him but little lower than God, and crownest him with glory and honour.

6 Ka mai da shi mai mulki bisa ayyukan hannuwanka; ka sa kome a ƙarƙashin ƙafafunsa,

Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

7 dukan shanu da tumaki, da kuma namun jeji,

All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

8 tsuntsayen sararin sama da kifin teku, da dukan abin da yake yawo a ƙarƙashin ruwan teku.

The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

9 Ya Ubangiji, shugabanmu, sunanka da girma take a cikin dukan duniya!

O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
