< Zabura 62 >
1 Don mai bi da kaɗe-kaɗe. Don Yedutun. Zaburar Dawuda.
God is the only one who can give me peace in my inner being, and he is the one who saves me [from my enemies].
Only he is like an [overhanging] rock [under which I can be safe] [MET]; he will be [like] a shelter, [with the result that] I will never be defeated [MET].
When will you, [my enemies], stop attacking me [RHQ]? I feel that I am [as useless against you as] a wall that is about to fall over or a broken-down fence [MET].
4 Sun kintsa sosai su tumɓuke shi daga matsayinsa mai martaba; suna jin daɗi yin ƙarairayi. Sukan sa wa mutum albarka da bakinsu, amma a zuciyarsu la’antawa suke yi. (Sela)
My enemies plan to remove me from my important position so that people no longer honor me. They delight in telling lies. They bless people by what they say [MTY], but in their inner beings they curse [those people].
5 Ka nemi hutu, ya raina, a wurin Allah kaɗai; dogarata kan zo daga gare shi ne.
God is the only one who gives me peace in my inner being; he is the one whom I confidently expect [to help me].
Only he is [like an overhanging] rock [under which I can be safe] [MET]; he is [like] a shelter, and [as a result] I will never be defeated.
God is the one who saves me and honors me. He is [like an overhanging] strong rock under which I [can] find shelter [MET].
8 Ku dogara a gare shi a duk lokuta, ya mutane; ku faɗi albarkaci bakin zukatanku a gare shi, gama Allah ne mafakarmu. (Sela)
[You my] people, always trust in him. Tell him all your troubles, because he is (our refuge/the one who protects us) [MET].
9 Talakawa dai kamar shaƙar iska suke, Attajirai dai kamar shirim suke; in aka auna a ma’auni, su ba wani abu ba ne; dukansu dai kamar shaƙar iska ne kawai.
People who are considered to be unimportant are [as worthless/unreliable as] a breath of air; people who are considered to be important [also] really (amount to nothing/cannot be trusted [to help us)]. If you put them all on a scale, [it would be as if] they weighed less than a puff of air.
10 Kada ku dogara a kan ƙwace ko yin fariya a kayan sata; ko arzikinku ya ƙaru, kada ku sa zuciyarku a kansu.
Do not trust in money gained by extorting it from others; do not try to gain anything by robbing others. If you become very wealthy, do not trust in [IDM] your money.
I have heard God say more than once that he is the one who [really] has power,
and that he is the one who faithfully loves [us]. He rewards every one [of us] according to the deeds that we do.
