< Zabura 4 >

Unto the end, in verses. A psalm for David. When I called upon him, the God of my justice heard me: when I was in distress, thou hast enlarged me. Have mercy on me: and hear my prayer.
2 Har yaushe, ya ku mutane za ku mai da ɗaukakata abin kunya? Har yaushe za ku ƙaunaci ruɗu ku nemi allolin ƙarya? (Sela)
O ye sons of men, how long will you be dull of heart? why do you love vanity, and seek after lying?
3 Ku san cewa Ubangiji ya keɓe masu tsoron Allah wa kansa; Ubangiji zai ji sa’ad da na yi kira gare shi.
Know ye also that the Lord hath made his holy one wonderful: the Lord will hear me when I shall cry unto him.
4 Cikin fushinku kada ku yi zunubi; sa’ad da kuke kan gadajenku, ku bincike zukatanku ku kuma yi shiru. (Sela)
Be angry, and sin not: the things you say in your hearts, be sorry for them upon your beds.
5 Ku miƙa hadayun da suka dace ku kuma dogara ga Ubangiji.
Offer up the sacrifice of justice, and trust in the Lord: many say, Who sheweth us good things?
6 Yawanci suna cewa, “Wa zai yi mana alheri?” Bari hasken fuskarka yă haskaka a kanmu, ya Ubangiji.
The light of thy countenance O Lord, is signed upon us: thou hast given gladness in my heart.
7 Ka cika zuciyata da farin ciki sa’ad da hatsinsu da sabon ruwan inabinsu ya yi yawa.
By the fruit of their corn, their wine and oil, they are multiplied.
8 Zan kwanta in kuma yi barci lafiya, gama kai kaɗai, ya Ubangiji, kake sa mazaunina yă kasance lafiya lau.
In peace in the selfsame I will sleep, and I will rest: For thou, O Lord, singularly hast settled me in hope.
