< Zabura 114 >

1 Sa’ad da Isra’ila ya fito daga Masar, gidan Yaƙub daga mutane masu baƙon harshe,
At the time of the exodus of Israel from Egypt, when the descendants of Jacob left that foreign country,
2 Yahuda ya zama wuri mai tsarki na Allah, Isra’ila mallakarsa.
the land of Judah became the Lord's sanctuary, Israel his kingdom.
3 Teku ya kalla ya kuma gudu, Urdun ya juye da baya;
The Red Sea saw them and ran away; the Jordan River retreated.
4 duwatsu suka yi tsalle kamar raguna, tuddai kamar tumaki.
Mountains jumped in fright like rams, hills startled like lambs.
5 Me ya sa, ya teku, kika gudu, Ya Urdun, ka juya baya,
Red Sea—why did you run away? Jordan River—why did you retreat?
6 ku duwatsu, kuka yi tsalle kamar raguna, ku tuddai, kamar tumaki?
Mountains—why did you jump in fright? Hills—why did you startle like lambs?
7 Ki yi rawar jiki, ya duniya, a gaban Ubangiji, a gaban Allah na Yaƙub,
Earth, tremble in the presence of the Lord, tremble in the presence of the God of Jacob!
8 wanda ya juye dutse ya zama tafki, dutse mai ƙarfi zuwa maɓulɓulan ruwa.
He is the one who turned the rock into a pool of water; making water flow from the hard rock.
