1 Mutumin da ya ci gaba da taurinkai bayan an kwaɓe shi ba da daɗewa ba zai hallaka ba makawa.
He who is often rebuked and stiffens his neck will be destroyed suddenly, with no remedy.
2 Sa’ad da masu adalci suke cin nasara, mutane kan yi farin ciki sa’ad da mugaye suke mulki, mutane kan yi nishi.
When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan.
3 Duk mai ƙaunar hikima kan kawo wa mahaifinsa farin ciki, amma wanda yake ma’amala da karuwai kan lalatar da dukiyarsa.
Whoever loves wisdom brings joy to his father; but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.
4 Ta wurin yin adalci sarki kan sa ƙasa tă yi ƙarƙo amma duk mai haɗama don cin hanci kan rushe ƙasar.
The king by justice makes the land stable, but he who takes bribes tears it down.
5 Duk wanda yake wa maƙwabcinsa daɗin baki yana sa wa ƙafafunsa tarko ne.
A man who flatters his neighbour spreads a net for his feet.
6 Mugun mutum tarko ne ta wurin zunubinsa, amma mai adalci zai iya rera ya kuma yi murna.
An evil man is snared by his sin, but the righteous can sing and be glad.
7 Masu adalci sun damu game da adalci don talakawa, amma mugaye ba su da wannan damuwa.
The righteous care about justice for the poor. The wicked aren’t concerned about knowledge.
8 Masu ba’a kan kuta faɗa a birni, amma masu hikima sukan kwantar da fushi.
Mockers stir up a city, but wise men turn away anger.
9 In mai hikima ya je wurin shari’a da wawa, wawa kan yi ta fushi yana ta dariya, ba kuwa za a sami salama ba.
If a wise man goes to court with a foolish man, the fool rages or scoffs, and there is no peace.
10 Masu kisankai sukan ƙi mutum mai mutunci su kuma nema su kashe mai aikata gaskiya.
The bloodthirsty hate a man of integrity; and they seek the life of the upright.
11 Wawa yakan nuna fushinsa a fili, amma mai hikima kan kanne fushinsa.
A fool vents all of his anger, but a wise man brings himself under control.
12 In mai mulki yana sauraran ƙarairayi, dukan ma’aikatansa za su zama mugaye.
If a ruler listens to lies, all of his officials are wicked.
13 Matalauci da azzalumi suna da wannan abu ɗaya. Ubangiji ne yake ba dukansu gani.
The poor man and the oppressor have this in common: The LORD gives sight to the eyes of both.
14 In sarki yana hukunta talakawa da adalci kursiyinsa kullum zai kasance lafiya.
The king who fairly judges the poor, his throne shall be established forever.
15 Sandar gyara kan ba da hikima, amma yaron da aka bari ba horo kan jawo kunya ga mahaifiyarsa.
The rod of correction gives wisdom, but a child left to himself causes shame to his mother.
16 Sa’ad da mugaye suke cin nasara, haka zunubi zai yi ta ƙaruwa, amma masu adalci za su ga fāɗuwar waɗannan mutane.
When the wicked increase, sin increases; but the righteous will see their downfall.
17 Ka hori ɗanka, zai kuwa ba ka salama; zai ba ka farin cikin da kake so.
Correct your son, and he will give you peace; yes, he will bring delight to your soul.
18 Inda ba wahayi, mutane kan kangare; amma masu albarka ne waɗanda suke kiyaye doka.
Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the law is blessed.
19 Ba a yi wa bawa gyara ta wurin magana kawai; ko da ya fahimta ma, ba zai kula ba.
A servant can’t be corrected by words. Though he understands, yet he will not respond.
20 Ka ga mutum mai yin magana da garaje? To, gara a sa zuciya ga wawa da a sa zuciya gare shi.
Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
21 In mutum ya yi wa bawansa shagwaɓa tun yana yaro, zai jawo baƙin ciki a ƙarshe.
He who pampers his servant from youth will have him become a son in the end.
22 Mutum mai cika fushi yakan tā da faɗa, mai zafin rai kuma kan yi zunubai masu yawa.
An angry man stirs up strife, and a wrathful man abounds in sin.
23 Fariyar mutum kan jawo masa ƙasƙanci amma mai sauƙinkai kan sami girmamawa.
A man’s pride brings him low, but one of lowly spirit gains honour.
24 Duk wanda yake abokin ɓarawo abokin gāban kansa ne; yana jin sa yana ta rantsuwa, amma bai isa ya ce kome ba.
Whoever is an accomplice of a thief is an enemy of his own soul. He takes an oath, but dares not testify.
25 Jin tsoron mutum tarko ne, amma duk wanda ya dogara ga Ubangiji zai zauna lafiya.
The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the LORD is kept safe.
26 Mutane sukan nemi samun farin jini daga wurin sarki, amma daga wurin Ubangiji ne mutum kan sami adalci.
Many seek the ruler’s favour, but a man’s justice comes from the LORD.
27 Masu adalci suna ƙyamar masu rashin gaskiya; mugaye sukan yi ƙyamar masu aikata gaskiya.
A dishonest man detests the righteous, and the upright in their ways detest the wicked.
