1 An fi son suna mai kyau fiye da wadata mai yawa; tagomashi kuma ya fi azurfa ko zinariya.
A good name is better than many riches. And good esteem is above silver and gold.
2 Mawadaci da matalauci suna da abu guda. Ubangiji ne Mahaliccinsu duka.
The rich and poor have met one another. The Lord is the maker of them both.
3 Mai basira kan ga damuwa tana zuwa yă nemi mafaka, amma marar azanci kan yi ta tafiya yă kuma sha wahala.

10 Ka hori mai ba’a, hatsaniya kuwa za tă yi waje; fitina da zargi kuma za su ƙare.

11 Duk mai son tsabtar zuciya wanda kuma jawabinsa mai alheri ne zai zama aminin sarki.
Whoever loves cleanness of heart, because of the grace of his lips, will have the king as his friend.
12 Idanun Ubangiji na lura da sani, amma yakan ƙi kalmomin marar aminci.
The eyes of the Lord watch over knowledge. And the words of the iniquitous are supplanted.
13 Rago kan ce, “Akwai zaki a waje!” Ko kuma “Za a kashe ni a tituna!”

14 Bakin mazinaciya rami ne mai zurfi; duk wanda yake a ƙarƙashin fushin Ubangiji zai fāɗa a ciki.

15 Wauta tana da yawa a zuciyar yara, amma sandar horo zai kore ta nesa da su.

16 Duk wanda yake danne matalauta don yă azurta kuma duk wanda yake kyauta ga mawadata, dukansu kan talauta.

Incline your ear, and listen to the words of the wise. Then apply your heart to my doctrine.

20 Ban rubuta maka maganganu talatin ba, maganganun shawara da sani,
Behold, I have written it for you in three ways, and with meditations and knowledge,
21 ina koya maka gaskiya da kalmomin da za ka dogara a kai, saboda ka iya ba da amsa daidai ga duk wanda ya aike ka?
so that I might reveal to you, firmly and with words of truth, in order to respond about these things to those who sent you.

Do not act with violence toward the pauper because he is poor. And do not weary the needy at the gate.

26 Kada ka zama mai ɗaukar lamuni ko ka ba da jingina saboda bashi;
Do not be willing to be with those who certify with their hands, and who offer themselves as a guarantee against debts.

29 Kana ganin mutumin da yake da gwaninta a cikin aikinsa? Zai yi wa sarakuna hidima; ba zai yi hidima wa mutanen da ba su iya ba.
Have you seen a man swift in his work? He shall stand in the sight of kings, and not before those who are disreputable.
