1 Karin maganar Solomon. Ɗa mai hikima yakan kawo wa mahaifinsa farin ciki, amma wawan ɗa kan sa wa mahaifiyarsa baƙin ciki.
The Proverbs of Solomon: A wise son, maketh a glad father, but, a foolish son, is the grief of his mother.
2 Dukiyar da aka samu a hanyar da ba tă dace ba, ba ta da albarka, amma adalci kan ceci mutum daga mutuwa.
The treasures of lawlessness, do not profit, but, righteousness, delivereth from death.
3 Ubangiji ba ya barin mai adalci da yunwa amma yakan lalace burin mugu.
Yahweh, suffereth not to famish, the soul of the righteous, but, the desire of the lawless, he thrusteth away.
4 Ragwanci kan sa mutum yă zama matalauci, amma aiki tuƙuru kan ba da dukiya.
He becometh poor, who dealeth with a slack hand, but, the hand of the diligent, maketh rich.
5 Shi da ya tattara hatsi da rani ɗa ne mai hikima, amma shi da yakan yi barci a lokacin girbi ɗa ne wanda ya zama abin kunya.
He that gathereth in summer, is a prudent son, he that sleepeth long in harvest, is a son causing shame.
6 Albarka kan zauna a kan mai adalci kamar rawani, amma rikici kan sha bakin mugu.
Blessings, are for the head of the righteous man, but, the mouth of the lawless, covereth up wrong.
7 Tunawa da mai adalci albarka ne amma sunan mugu zai ruɓe.
The memory of the righteous, yieldeth blessing, but, the name of the lawless, dieth out.
8 Mai hikima a zuciya yakan yarda da umarni amma surutun wawa kan kai ga lalaci.
The wise in heart, will accept commandments, but, he that is foolish with his lips, shall be thrust away.
9 Mai mutunci yana tafiya lafiya, amma shi da yake tafiya a karkatattun hanyoyi za a kama shi.
He that walketh uprightly, may walk securely, but, he that maketh crooked his ways, shall be found out.
10 Shi da ya ƙyifta ido da mugunta kan jawo baƙin ciki surutun wawa kuma kan zo da lalaci.
He that winketh with the eye, causeth sorrow, and, he that is foolish with his lips, shall be thrust aside.
11 Bakin adali maɓulɓulan rai ne, amma kalmar mugun takan ɓoye makircinsa.
A well-spring of life, is the mouth of the righteous, but, the mouth of the lawless, covereth wrong.
12 Ƙiyayya kan haddasa wahala, amma ƙauna kan rufe dukan laifofi.
Hatred, stirreth up strifes, but, over all transgressions, love throweth a covering.
13 Ana samun hikima a leɓunan masu fahimi, amma bulala domin bayan marasa azanci ne.
In the lips of the intelligent, is found wisdom, but, a rod, is for the back of him that lacketh sense.
14 Mai hikima kan yi ajiyar sani, amma bakin wawa kan gayyaci lalaci.
Wise men, treasure up knowledge, but, the mouth of the foolish, is a terror near at hand.
15 Dukiyar masu arziki yakan zama mafakar birninsu, amma talauci shi ne lalacin matalauci.
The substance of the rich, is his strong city, the terror of the poor, is their poverty.
16 Hakkin adalai kan kawo musu rai, amma albashin mugaye kan kawo musu hukunci.
The labour of the righteous, [leadeth] to life, the increase of the lawless, to sin.
17 Duk wanda ya mai da hankali ga horo kan nuna hanyar rai, amma duk wanda ya ƙyale gyara kan sa waɗansu su kauce.
On the way to life, is he that heedeth correction, but, he that hateth reproof, is going astray.
18 Duk wanda ya ɓoye ƙiyayyarsa yana da ƙarya a leɓunansa, duk kuma wanda yake baza ƙarairayi wawa ne.
He that concealeth hatred, hath false lips, and he that sendeth forth slander, the same, is a dullard.
19 Sa’ad da magana ta yi yawa, ba a rasa zunubi a ciki, amma shi da ya ƙame harshensa mai hikima ne.
In the multitude of words, there wanteth not transgression, but, he that restraineth his lips, sheweth prudence.
20 Harshen adali azurfa ce zalla, amma zuciyar mugu ba ta da wani amfani.
Choice silver, is the tongue of the righteous, but, the sense of the lawless, is very small.
21 Leɓunan adalai kan amfane yawanci, amma wawa kan mutu saboda rashin azanci.
The lips of the righteous, feed multitudes, but, the foolish, for lack of sense, shall die.
22 Albarkar Ubangiji kan kawo wadata, ba ya kuma ƙara wahala a kai.
The blessing of Yahweh, itself maketh rich, and he addeth no grievance therewith.
23 Wawa yakan ji daɗi halin mugunta, amma mutum mai fahimi kan ji daɗin hikima.
It is, mere sport to a stupid man, to commit lewdness, but, wisdom, pertaineth to a man of understanding.
24 Abin da mugu ke tsoro shi ne zai same shi; abin da adali ke bukata yakan sami biyan bukata.
The dread of the lawless one, the same, shall overtake him, but, the desire of the righteous, shall he granted.
25 Sa’ad da hadiri ya taso, yakan watsar da mugaye, amma adalai za su tsaya daram har abada.
Like the passing away of a tempest, so the lawless one is not, but, the righteous, [hath] an age-abiding foundation.
26 Kamar yadda ruwan tsami yake ga haƙora hayaƙi kuma ga idanu, haka malalaci yake ga wanda ya aike shi.
As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so, is the sluggard, to them who send him.
27 Tsoron Ubangiji kan ƙara tsawon rai, amma akan gajartar da shekarun mugaye.
The reverence of Yahweh, addeth days, but, the years of the lawless, shall be shortened.
28 Abin da adali yake sa rai yakan kai ga farin ciki, amma sa zuciyar mugu ba ya haifar da kome.
The hope of the righteous, shall be gladness, but, the expectation of the lawless, shall vanish.
29 Hanyar Ubangiji mafaka ce ga adalai amma lalaci ne ga waɗanda suke aikata mugunta.
A refuge for the blameless, is the path of Yahweh, but, destruction, [awaiteth] the workers of iniquity.
30 Ba za a taɓa tumɓuke masu adalci ba, amma mugaye ba za su ci gaba da kasance a ƙasar ba.
The righteous, to times age-abiding, shall remain unshaken, but, the lawless, shall not inhabit the earth.
31 Bakin adalai kan fitar da hikima, amma za a dakatar da mugun harshe.
The mouth of the righteous, beareth the fruit of wisdom, but, a perverse tongue, shall be cut off.
32 Leɓunan adalai sun san abin da ya dace, amma bakunan mugaye sun san abin da yake mugu ne kawai.
The lips of the righteous, know what is pleasing, but, the mouth of the lawless, [speaketh] perversities.
