1 A lokacin nan sarki Hiridus ya ji labarin Yesu,
In that time, Herod the Tetrarch heard the news about Jesus.
2 sai ya ce wa fadawansa, “Wannan Yohanna Mai Baftisma ne; ya tashi daga matattu! Shi ya sa abubuwan banmamakin nan suke faruwa ta wurinsa.”
And he said to his servants: “This is John the Baptist. He has risen from the dead, and that is why miracles are at work in him.”
3 To, dā Hiridus ya kama Yohanna ya daure, ya kuma sa shi cikin kurkuku saboda Hiridiyas, matar ɗan’uwansa Filibus,
For Herod had apprehended John, and bound him, and put him in prison, because of Herodias, the wife of his brother.
4 gama Yohanna ya dinga ce masa, “Ba daidai ba ne ka aure ta.”
For John was telling him, “It is not lawful for you to have her.”
5 Hiridus ya so yă kashe Yohanna, amma yana jin tsoron mutane, don sun ɗauka shi annabi ne.
And though he wanted to kill him, he feared the people, because they held him to be a prophet.
6 A bikin tuna da ranar haihuwar Hiridus, diyar Hiridiyas ta yi musu rawa ta kuma gamsar da Hiridus ƙwarai,
Then, on Herod’s birthday, the daughter of Herodias danced in their midst, and it pleased Herod.
7 har ya yi alkawari da rantsuwa cewa zai ba ta duk abin da ta roƙa.
And so he promised with an oath to give her whatever she would ask of him.
8 Da mahaifiyarta ta zuga ta, sai ta ce, “Ba ni a cikin kwanon nan, kan Yohanna Mai Baftisma.”
But, having been advised by her mother, she said, “Give me here, on a platter, the head of John the Baptist.”
9 Sarki ya yi baƙin ciki, amma saboda rantsuwarsa da kuma baƙinsa, sai ya ba da umarni a ba ta abin da ta roƙa
And the king was greatly saddened. But because of his oath, and because of those who sat at table with him, he ordered it to be given.
10 ya kuma sa aka yanke kan Yohanna a kurkuku.
And he sent and beheaded John in prison.
11 Aka kawo kansa cikin kwano aka ba yarinyar, ita kuma ta kai wa mahaifiyarta.
And his head was brought on a platter, and it was given to the girl, and she brought it to her mother.
12 Almajiran Yohanna suka zo suka ɗauki gawarsa suka binne. Sa’an nan suka je suka gaya wa Yesu.
And his disciples approached and took the body, and they buried it. And arriving, they reported it to Jesus.
13 Sa’ad da Yesu ya ji abin da ya faru, sai ya shiga jirgin ruwa ya janye shi kaɗai zuwa wani wuri inda ba kowa. Da jin haka, taron mutane suka bi shi da ƙafa daga garuruwa.
When Jesus had heard it, he withdrew from there by boat, to a deserted place by himself. And when the crowds had heard of it, they followed him on foot from the cities.
14 Da Yesu ya sauka ya kuma ga taro mai yawa, sai ya ji tausayinsu ya kuma warkar da marasa lafiyarsu.
And going out, he saw a great multitude, and he took pity on them, and he cured their sick.
15 Da yamma ta yi, sai almajiransa suka zo wurinsa suka ce, “Wurin nan fa ba kowa, ga shi kuma rana ta kusa fāɗuwa. Ka sallami taron don su shiga ƙauyuka su nemi wa kansu abinci.”
And when evening had arrived, his disciples approached him, saying: “This is a deserted place, and the hour has now passed. Dismiss the crowds, so that, by going into the towns, they may buy food for themselves.”
16 Yesu ya amsa, “Ba su bukata su tafi. Ku ku ba su wani abu su ci.”
But Jesus said to them: “They have no need to go. Give them something to eat yourselves.”
17 Suka ce, “Burodi biyar da kifi biyu ne kawai muke da su a nan.”
They answered him, “We have nothing here, except five loaves and two fish.”
18 Ya ce, “Ku kawo mini su a nan.”
He said to them, “Bring them here to me.”
19 Sai ya umarci mutanen su zazzauna a kan ciyawa. Da ya ɗauki burodi biyar da kifin biyun nan ya dubi sama, ya yi godiya ya kuma kakkarya burodin. Sa’an nan ya ba wa almajiransa, almajiran kuwa suka ba wa mutane.
And when he had ordered the multitude to sit down upon the grass, he took the five loaves and the two fish, and gazing up to heaven, he blessed and broke and gave the bread to the disciples, and then the disciples to the multitudes.
20 Duk suka ci suka ƙoshi, almajiran kuwa suka kwashe ragowar gutsattsarin cike da kwanduna goma sha biyu.
And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up the remnants: twelve baskets full of fragments.
21 Yawan waɗanda suka ci, sun yi wajen maza dubu biyar, ban da mata da yara.
Now the number of those who ate was five thousand men, besides women and children.
22 Nan da nan Yesu ya sa almajiran su shiga jirgin ruwa su sha gabansa, su haye zuwa ɗayan hayin, yayinda shi kuma yă sallami taron.
And Jesus promptly compelled his disciples to climb into the boat, and to precede him in crossing the sea, while he dismissed the crowds.
23 Bayan ya sallame su, sai ya haura bisan gefen dutse shi kaɗai don yă yi addu’a. Da yamma ta yi, yana can shi kaɗai,
And having dismissed the multitude, he ascended alone onto a mountain to pray. And when evening arrived, he was alone there.
24 jirgin ruwan kuwa ya riga ya yi nesa da gaci, yana fama da raƙuman ruwa domin iska tana gāba da shi.
But in the midst of the sea, the boat was being tossed about by the waves. For the wind was against them.
25 Wajen tsaro na huɗu na dare, sai Yesu ya nufe su, yana takawa a kan tafkin.
Then, in the fourth watch of the night, he came to them, walking upon the sea.
26 Sa’ad da almajiran suka gan shi yana takawa a kan tafkin, sai tsoro ya kama su. Suka yi ihu don tsoro suka ce, “Fatalwa ce.”
And seeing him walking upon the sea, they were disturbed, saying: “It must be an apparition.” And they cried out, because of fear.
27 Amma nan da nan Yesu ya ce musu, “Ku yi ƙarfin hali! Ni ne. Kada ku ji tsoro.”
And immediately, Jesus spoke to them, saying: “Have faith. It is I. Do not be afraid.”
28 Sai Bitrus ya amsa ya ce, “Ubangiji in kai ne ka ce mini in zo wurinka a kan ruwan.”
Then Peter responded by saying, “Lord, if it is you, order me to come to you over the waters.”
29 Ya ce, “Zo.” Sai Bitrus ya fita daga jirgin ruwan, ya taka a kan ruwan ya nufe wajen Yesu.
And he said, “Come.” And Peter, descending from the boat, walked over the water, so as to go to Jesus.
30 Amma da ya ga haukar iskar, sai ya ji tsoro, ya kuma fara nutsewa, sai ya yi ihu ya ce, “Ubangiji, ka cece ni!”
Yet truly, seeing that the wind was strong, he was afraid. And as he began to sink, he cried out, saying: “Lord, save me.”
31 Nan da nan Yesu ya miƙa hannu ya kamo shi ya ce, “Kai mai ƙarancin bangaskiya, don me ka yi shakka?”
And immediately Jesus extended his hand and took hold of him. And he said to him, “O little in faith, why did you doubt?”
32 Da suka hau jirgin ruwan, sai iskar ta kwanta.
And when they had ascended into the boat, the wind ceased.
33 Waɗanda suke cikin jirgin ruwan kuwa suka yi masa sujada, suna cewa, “Gaskiya kai Ɗan Allah ne.”
Then those who were in the boat drew near and adored him, saying: “Truly, you are the Son of God.”
34 Sa’ad da suka haye, sai suka sauka a Gennesaret.
And having crossed the sea, they arrived in the land of Genesaret.
35 Da mutanen wurin suka gane da Yesu, sai suka kai labari a ko’ina a ƙauyukan da suke kewaye. Mutane suka kawo masa dukan marasa lafiyarsu
And when the men of that place had recognized him, they sent into all that region, and they brought to him all who had maladies.
36 suka kuwa roƙe shi yă bar marasa lafiya su taɓa ko da gefen rigarsa kawai, duk waɗanda suka taɓa shi kuwa suka warke.
And they petitioned him, so that they might touch even the hem of his garment. And as many as touched it were made whole.
