Yoshuwa 23
1 An daɗe bayan da Ubangiji ya ba Isra’ilawa hutu daga dukan abokan gāban da suke kewaye da su. Yoshuwa kuwa ya tsufa, shekarunsa sun yi yawa,
And it came to pass a long time after that the LORD had given rest to Israel from all their enemies round about, that Joshua waxed old and stricken in age.
2 sai ya aika a kira Isra’ilawa duka, dattawansu, shugabanninsu, alƙalansu, da manyan ma’aikatansu, ya ce musu, “Na tsufa, shekaruna kuwa sun yi yawa,
And Joshua called for all Israel, and for their elders, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers, and said to them, I am old and stricken in age:
3 ku kanku kun ga dukan abubuwan da Ubangiji Allahnku ya yi da idanunku wa dukan ƙasashen nan, Ubangiji Allahnku shi ne wanda ya yi yaƙi dominku.
And you have seen all that the LORD your God has done to all these nations because of you; for the LORD your God is he that has fought for you.
4 Ku tuna yadda na rarraba wa kabilanku ƙasashen nan su zama naku na gādo, dukan ƙasashen da suka rage, ƙasashen da na ci da yaƙi, tsakanin Urdun da Bahar Rum a yamma.
Behold, I have divided to you by lot these nations that remain, to be an inheritance for your tribes, from Jordan, with all the nations that I have cut off, even to the great sea westward.
5 Ubangiji Allahnku kansa zai kore su a madadinku. Zai fafare su a gabanku, za ku kuwa mallaki ƙasarsu, yadda Ubangiji Allah ya yi muku alkawari.
And the LORD your God, he shall expel them from before you, and drive them from out of your sight; and you shall possess their land, as the LORD your God has promised to you.
6 “Ku yi ƙarfin hali, ku yi hankali, ku yi biyayya da dukan abin da aka rubuta a cikin Littafin Dokoki na Musa, ba tare da kun juya hagu ko dama ba.
Be you therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that you turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left;
7 Kada ku haɗa kai da mutanen nan da suke zama cikinku; ba ruwanku da sunayen allolinsu, kada ku rantse da su. Kada kuwa ku bauta musu ko kuwa ku rusuna musu.
That you come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves to them:
8 Sai dai ku riƙe Ubangiji Allahnku da kyau, yadda kuka yi har zuwa yanzu.
But hold to the LORD your God, as you have done to this day.
9 “Ubangiji ya kori manyan ƙasashe masu ƙarfi; har wa yau ba wanda ya iya cin ku da yaƙi.
For the LORD has driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man has been able to stand before you to this day.
10 Mutum ɗaya a cikinku ya isa yă sa mutane dubu nasu su gudu, domin Ubangiji Allahnku yana yaƙi dominku, kamar yadda ya yi alkawari.
One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fights for you, as he has promised you.
11 Saboda haka sai ku kula da kanku sosai, ku ƙaunaci Ubangiji Allahnku.
Take good heed therefore to yourselves, that you love the LORD your God.
12 “Amma in kuka juya baya kuka zama abokai ga waɗanda suka ragu suke zama a cikinku a ƙasashen nan, har kuka yi auratayya da su, kuka haɗa kai da su,
Else if you do in any wise go back, and join to the remnant of these nations, even these that remain among you, and shall make marriages with them, and go in to them, and they to you:
13 ku tabbata cewa Ubangiji Allahnku ba zai kore muku mutanen ƙasashen nan ba, sai ma su zama muku dutsen tuntuɓe da tarko, za su zama bulala a bayanku, ƙayayyuwa a idanunku, har sai kun hallaka daga wannan ƙasa mai kyau wadda Ubangiji Allahnku ya ba ku.
Know for a certainty that the LORD your God will no more drive out any of these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps to you, and scourges in your sides, and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from off this good land which the LORD your God has given you.
14 “Yanzu na kusa barin fuskar duniyan nan. Kun sani da dukan zuciyarku, da dukan ranku cewa, Ba ko ɗaya daga cikin alkawuran da Ubangiji Allahnku ya yi, da bai cika ba. Kowane alkawari ya cika; ba ko ɗaya da bai cika ba.
And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and you know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spoke concerning you; all are come to pass to you, and not one thing has failed thereof.
15 Kamar yadda Ubangiji Allahnku kuwa ya cika kowane alkawari mai kyau, haka ma ba zai fasa kawo muku bala’in da ya faɗi ba, sai ya hallaka ku daga wannan ƙasa mai kyau da ya ba ku.
Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come on you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring on you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God has given you.
16 In kuka karya alkawarin Ubangiji Allahnku wanda ya umarce ku, in kuka je kuka bauta wa waɗansu alloli, kuka rusuna musu, fushin Ubangiji zai sauko a kanku, za ku kuwa hallaka da sauri daga ƙasan nan mai kyau da ya ba ku.”
When you have transgressed the covenant of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and you shall perish quickly from off the good land which he has given to you.
