1 Yoshuwa ya kira mutanen Ruben, mutanen Gad, da rabin kabilar Manasse

Then Joshua calls for the Reubenite, and for the Gadite, and for the half-tribe of Manasseh,

2 ya ce musu, “Kun yi duk abin da Musa bawan Ubangiji ya umarta, kun kuma yi mini biyayya cikin dukan umarnan da na ba ku.

and says to them, “You have kept the whole of that which Moses, servant of YHWH, commanded you, and you listen to my voice, to all that I have commanded you;

3 Dukan waɗannan yawan kwanaki, har zuwa yau, ba ku yashe’yan’uwanku Isra’ilawa ba, amma kuka kiyaye umarnin da Ubangiji Allahnku ya ba ku.

you have not left your brothers these many days to this day, and have kept the charge—the command of your God YHWH.

4 Yanzu da Ubangiji Allahnku ya ba’yan’uwanku hutu kamar yadda ya yi alkawari, sai ku koma gidajenku a ƙasar da Musa bawan Ubangiji ya ba ku a Urdun.

And now, your God YHWH has given rest to your brothers, as He spoke to them; and now, turn, and go for yourselves to your tents, to the land of your possession, which Moses, servant of YHWH, has given to you beyond the Jordan.

5 Amma ku yi hankali, ku kiyaye umarnai da kuma dokokin da Musa bawan Ubangiji ya ba ku. Ku ƙaunaci Ubangiji Allahnku, ku yi tafiya kan hanyarsa, ku yi biyayya da umarnansa, ku riƙe shi sosai, ku bauta masa da dukan zuciyarku da kuma dukan ranku.”

Only, be very watchful to do the command and the Law which Moses, servant of YHWH, commanded you, to love your God YHWH, and to walk in all His ways, and to keep His commands, and to cleave to Him, and to serve Him, with all your heart, and with all your soul.”

6 Sai Yoshuwa ya sa musu albarka, ya sallame su, suka kuwa tafi gidajensu.

And Joshua blesses them, and sends them away, and they go to their tents.

7 (Musa ya riga ya ba rabin kabilar Manasse gādo a Bashan; sauran rabin kabilar kuma Yoshuwa ya ba su gādo tare’yan’uwansu a yammacin hayin Urdun.) Sa’ad da Yoshuwa ya sallame su su tafi gida, ya sa musu albarka,

And to the half-tribe of Manasseh Moses has given, in Bashan, and to its [other] half Joshua has given with their brothers beyond the Jordan westward; and also when Joshua has sent them away to their tents, then he blesses them,

8 ya ce, “Ku koma gidajenku tare da dukiya mai yawa, babban garken dabbobi, azurfa da zinariya, tagulla da ƙarfe, da tufafi masu yawa sosai, sai ku raba ganimar da kuka samu daga abokan gābanku, da’yan’uwanku.”

and speaks to them, saying, “Turn back to your tents with great riches, and with very much livestock, with silver, and with gold, and with bronze, and with iron, and with very much raiment; divide the spoil of your enemies with your brothers.”

9 Saboda haka sai mutanen Ruben, mutanen Gad da kuma rabin mutanen kabilar Manasse, suka bar Isra’ilawa a Shilo cikin Kan’ana don su koma Gileyad, ƙasarsu, wadda suka samu bisa ga umarnin Ubangiji ta wurin Musa.

And the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, turn back and go from the sons of Israel out of Shiloh, which [is] in the land of Canaan, to go to the land of Gilead, to the land of their possession, in which they have possession, according to the command of YHWH, by the hand of Moses;

10 Da suka kai Gelilot kusa da Urdun cikin ƙasar Kan’ana, sai mutanen Ruben, mutanen Gad da kuma rabin mutanen kabilar Manasse suka gina bagade a can, a Urdun.

and they come to the districts of the Jordan, which [are] in the land of Canaan, and the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, build an altar there by the Jordan—a great altar in appearance.

11 Sa’ad da Isra’ilawa suka ji cewa sun gina bagade a iyakar Kan’ana, a Gelilot kusa da Urdun wajen gefensu na Isra’ilawa,

And the sons of Israel hear, saying, “Behold, the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, have built the altar at the frontier of the land of Canaan, in the districts of the Jordan, at the passage of the sons of Israel.”

12 sai dukan Isra’ilawa suka taru a Shilo don su je su yaƙe su.

And the sons of Israel hear, and all the congregation of the sons of Israel is assembled at Shiloh, to go up against them to war;

13 Saboda haka sai Isra’ilawa suka aiki Finehas ɗan Eleyazar, firist, zuwa ƙasar Gileyad, wurin mutanen Ruben, mutanen Gad da kuma rabin mutanen kabilar Manasse.

and the sons of Israel send to the sons of Reuben, and to the sons of Gad, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh—to the land of Gilead—Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest,

14 Suka aiki shugabanni guda goma su tafi tare da shi, ɗaya daga kowace kabilar Isra’ila, kowannensu shugaba ne a iyalansa.

and ten princes with him, one prince—one prince for a house of a father, for all the tribes of Israel, and each of them a head of a house of their fathers, for the thousands of Israel.

15 Sa’ad da suka je Gileyad, wurin mutanen Ruben, mutanen Gad da kuma rabin mutanen kabilar Manasse, sai suka ce musu,

And they come to the sons of Reuben, and to the sons of Gad, and to the half-tribe of Manasseh, to the land of Gilead, and speak with them, saying,

16 “Dukan jama’ar Ubangiji sun ce yaya za ku juya wa Allah na Isra’ila baya haka? Yaya za ku daina bin Ubangiji ku gina wa kanku bagade, ku yi masa tawaye yanzu?

“Thus said all the congregation of YHWH: What [is] this trespass which you have trespassed against the God of Israel, to turn back today from after YHWH, by your building an altar for yourselves, for your rebelling today against YHWH?

17 Zunubin da Feyor ya yi bai ishe mu ba ne? Ga shi, har yanzu ba mu gama tsarkakewa daga wannan zunubi ba, ko da yake annoba ta auko wa mutanen Ubangiji!

Is the iniquity of Peor little to us, from which we have not been cleansed until this day—and the plague is in the congregation of YHWH,

18 Yanzu za ku daina bin Ubangiji ne? “In kuka yi wa Ubangiji tawaye yau, gobe zai yi fushi da dukan mutanen Isra’ila.

that you turn back today from after YHWH? And it has been [that] you rebel against YHWH today, and tomorrow He is angry against all the congregation of Israel.

19 Idan ƙasar mallakarku ƙazantacciya ce, sai ku haye zuwa ƙasar Ubangiji, inda tabanakul yake, mu zauna tare. Amma kada ku yi wa Ubangiji, ko kuma ku yi mana tawaye ta wurin gina wa kanku bagade wanda ba na Ubangiji Allahnmu ba.

And surely, if the land of your possession is unclean, pass over for yourselves to the land of the possession of YHWH, where the Dwelling Place of YHWH has dwelt, and have possession in our midst; and do not rebel against YHWH, and do not rebel against us, by your building an altar for yourselves, besides the altar of our God YHWH.

20 Lokacin da Akan ɗan Zera ya yi rashin aminci game da kayan da aka keɓe, fushinsa Ubangiji bai auko a kan mutanen Isra’ila duka ba? Ai, ba shi kaɗai ya mutu don zunubinsa ba.”

Did Achan son of Zerah not commit a trespass in the devoted thing, and there was wrath on all the congregation of Israel? And he alone did not expire in his iniquity.”

21 Sai mutanen Ruben, mutanen Gad da kuma rabin mutanen kabilar Manasse suka amsa wa shugabannin iyalan Isra’ila suka ce,

And the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, answer and speak with the heads of the thousands of Israel:

22 “Maɗaukaki, Allah, Ubangiji! Maɗaukaki, Allah, Ubangiji ya sani! In mun yi wannan cikin tawaye ko rashin biyayya ga Ubangiji ne, kada ku bar mu da rai yau.

“The God of gods—YHWH, the God of gods—YHWH, He is knowing, and Israel—he knows, if [we are] in rebellion, and if in trespass against YHWH, do not save us this day!

23 Idan mun bar bin Ubangiji, muka gina wa kanmu bagade don mu miƙa hadayun ƙonawa, ko kuwa hadayun gari, ko kuwa hadayun salama, to, bari Ubangiji kansa ya sāka mana.

[If we] are building an altar for ourselves to turn back from after YHWH, and if to cause burnt-offering and present to go up on it, and if to make peace-offerings on it—YHWH Himself requires [it].

24 “A’a! Mun yi haka ne don tsoro, kada nan gaba’ya’yanku su ce wa’ya’yanmu, ‘Me ya haɗa ku da Ubangiji, Allah na Isra’ila?

And nevertheless, we have done it from fear of [this] thing, saying, Hereafter your sons speak to our sons, saying, And what have you to [do with] YHWH God of Israel?

25 Ubangiji ya sa Urdun ya zama iyaka tsakaninmu da ku, ku mutanen Ruben da mutanen Gad! Ba ku da rabo cikin Ubangiji.’’Ya’yanku za su iya sa’ya’yanmu su daina tsoron Ubangiji.

For YHWH has put a border between us and you, O sons of Reuben, and sons of Gad—Jordan; you have no portion in YHWH—and your sons have caused our sons to cease, not to fear YHWH.

26 “Shi ya sa muka ce, ‘Bari mu yi shiri mu gina bagade, amma ba na ƙona hadayu ko na sadaka ba.’

And we say, Now let us prepare to build the altar for ourselves—not for burnt-offering, nor for sacrifice—

27 Sai dai yă zama shaida tsakaninmu da ku, da kuma waɗanda za su zo a baya, cewa za mu yi wa Ubangiji sujada a wurinsa mai tsarki, za mu miƙa hadayunmu na ƙonawa, hadayu na zumunta. Sa’an nan, nan gaba’ya’yanku ba za su ce wa’ya’yanmu, ‘Ba ku da rabo a cikin Ubangiji ba.’

but it [is] a witness between us and you, and between our generations after us, to do the service of YHWH before Him with our burnt-offerings, and with our sacrifices, and with our peace-offerings, and your sons do not say hereafter to our sons, You have no portion in YHWH.

28 “Muka kuma ce, ‘In har suka ce mana, ko’ya’yanmu haka, sai mu amsa mu ce ku dubi bagaden da yake daidai da na Ubangiji wanda iyayenmu suka gina, ba don ƙona hadayu da kuma yin sadaka ba, sai dai don yă zama shaida tsakaninmu da ku.’

And we say, And it has been, when they say [so] to us, and to our generations hereafter, that we have said, See the pattern of the altar of YHWH, which our fathers made—not for burnt-offering nor for sacrifice—but it [is] a witness between us and you.

29 “Allah ya sawwaƙa mana mu tayar wa Ubangiji mu bar binsa, har mu gina bagade don miƙa hadayu na ƙonawa, da na gari, da na sadaka, ban da bagaden Ubangiji Allahnmu wanda yake tsaye a gaban tabanakul.”

Far be it from us to rebel against YHWH, and to turn back from after YHWH today, to build an altar for burnt-offering, for present, and for sacrifice, apart from the altar of our God YHWH, which [is] before His Dwelling Place.”

30 Da Finehas firist, da shugabannin mutanen, shugabannin iyalan Isra’ila, suka ji abin da mutanen Ruben, mutanen Gad da kuma rabin mutanen kabilar Manasse suka ce, sai suka ji daɗi.

And Phinehas the priest, and the princes of the congregation, and the heads of the thousands of Israel, who [are] with him, hear the words which the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, and the sons of Manasseh have spoken, and it is good in their eyes.

31 Sai Finehas ɗan Eleyazar, firist, ya ce wa mutanen Ruben, mutanen Gad da kuma rabin mutanen kabilar Manasse, “Yau mun san Ubangiji yana tare da mu, domin ba ku yi wa Ubangiji rashin aminci cikin wannan abu ba. Yanzu kun kuɓutar da Isra’ilawa daga hannun Ubangiji.”

And Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest says to the sons of Reuben, and to the sons of Gad, and to the sons of Manasseh, “Today we have known that YHWH [is] in our midst, because you have not committed this trespass against YHWH—then you have delivered the sons of Israel out of the hand of YHWH.”

32 Sai Finehas ɗan Eleyazar, firist, da shugabannin suka koma Kan’ana daga saduwa da mutanen Ruben da mutanen Gad a Gileyad, suka kai wa Isra’ilawa rahoto.

And Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest, and the princes, turn back from the sons of Reuben, and from the sons of Gad, out of the land of Gilead, to the land of Canaan, to the sons of Israel, and bring them back word;

33 Isra’ilawa suka ji daɗin rahoton da suka ji, suka kuma yi wa Allah yabo. Ba su sāke yin maganar zuwa yaƙi don su rushe ƙasar da mutanen Ruben da mutanen Gad suke ciki ba.

and the thing is good in the eyes of the sons of Israel, and the sons of Israel bless God, and have not spoken to go up against them to war, to destroy the land which the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, are dwelling in.

34 Sai mutanen Ruben da mutanen Gad suka ba wa wannan bagaden sunan, Shaida Tsakaninmu, cewa Ubangiji Allah ne.

And the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad proclaim concerning the altar, that, “[It is] a witness between us that YHWH [is] God.”
