1 An raba wa kabilar Yahuda gādonsu ta wurin yin ƙuri’a, bisa ga iyalansu, rabon ya kai har zuwa sashen Edom, zuwa Jejin Zin can kurewar kudu.
Now the part of the land marked out for the children of Judah by families, went up to the edge of Edom, as far as the waste land of Zin to the south, to the farthest point of it on the south.
2 Iyakarsu a kudanci ta tashi tun daga kurewar kudu na Tekun Gishiri,
Their south limit was from the farthest part of the Salt Sea, from the inlet looking to the south:
3 zuwa kudancin Hanyar Kunama, ta ci gaba har zuwa Zin, zuwa kudancin Kadesh Barneya. Sa’an nan ta kurɗa zuwa Hezron har zuwa Addar, ta kuma karkata zuwa Karka.
From there it goes south of the slope up to Akrabbim, and on to Zin, then south past Kadesh-barnea, and on by Hezron and up to Addar, turning in the direction of Karka:
4 Sai ta wuce zuwa Azmon ta haɗu da Rafin Masar, ta ƙarasa a Bahar Rum. Wannan shi ne iyakarsu ta kudu.
Then on to Azmon, ending at the stream of Egypt: and the end of the limit is at the sea; this will be your limit on the south.
5 Iyakarsu ta gabas kuwa ita ce Tekun Gishiri wadda ta zarce har zuwa gaɓar Urdun. Iyakarsu ta arewa ta fara ne daga Tekun Gishiri a bakin Urdun,
And the east limit is the Salt Sea as far as the end of Jordan. And the limit of the north part of the land is from the inlet of the sea at the end of Jordan:
6 wajen Bet-Hogla ta wuce har zuwa arewancin Bet-Araba, zuwa Dutsen Bohan ɗan Ruben.
Then the line goes up to Beth-hoglah, past the north of Beth-arabah, and up to the stone of Bohan, the son of Reuben;
7 Sai iyakar ta haura zuwa Debir daga Kwarin Akor ta juya arewa da Gilgal, wadda take fuskantar hawan Adummim a kudancin kwari, ta ci gaba zuwa ruwan En Shemesh, ta ɓullo ta En Rogel.
Then the line goes up to Debir from the valley of Achor, and so to the north, in the direction of Gilgal, which is opposite the slope up to Adummim, on the south side of the river: and the line goes on to the waters of En-shemesh, ending at En-rogel:
8 Sai kuma ta gangara zuwa Kwarin Ben Hinnom a gangaren kudancin birnin Yebusiyawa (wato, Urushalima). Daga can ta haura zuwa kan tudun a yammancin Kwarin Hinnom, a arewancin ƙarshen Kwarin Refayim.
Then the line goes up by the valley of the son of Hinnom to the south side of the Jebusite (which is Jerusalem): then up to the top of the mountain in front of the valley of Hinnom to the west, which is at the farthest point of the valley of Rephaim on the north:
9 Daga kan tudun, iyakar ta nufi maɓulɓular ruwa na Neftowa, ta ɓullo a garuruwan da suke a Dutsen Efron, ta gangara zuwa Ba’ala (wato, Kiriyat Yeyarim).
And the limit is marked out from the top of the mountain to the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and out to the towns of Mount Ephron, as far as Baalah (which is Kiriath-jearim):
10 Sa’an nan ta karkata yamma daga Ba’ala zuwa Dutsen Seyir, ta wuce ta gangaren Dutsen Yeyarim (wato, Kesalon), ta ci gaba zuwa Bet-Shemesh, ta bi zuwa Timna.
Then turning west, the line goes from Baalah to Mount Seir, and on to the side of Mount Jearim (which is Chesalon) on the north, then down to Beth-shemesh, and on past Timnah:
11 Ta wuce zuwa gangaren arewancin Ekron, ta juya zuwa Shikkeron, ta wuce zuwa Dutsen Ba’ala, ta kai Yabneyel, iyakarta ta ƙare a teku.
And out to the side of Ekron to the north: then it is marked out to Shikkeron and on to Mount Baalah, ending at Jabneel; the end of the line is at the sea.
12 Bakin Bahar Rum nan ne iyakar yammanci. Wannan ita ce iyakar da ta kewaye jama’ar Yahuda bisa ga iyalansu.
And the limit on the west is the edge of the Great Sea. This is the line going round the land marked out for the children of Judah, by their families.
13 Yoshuwa ya ba Kaleb ɗan Yefunne wuri a Yahuda, Kiriyat Arba, wato, Hebron, bisa ga umarnin Ubangiji. (Arba shi ne mahaifin Anak.)
And to Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, he gave a part among the children of Judah, as the Lord had given orders to Joshua, that is, Kiriath-arba, named after Arba, the father of Anak which is Hebron.
14 Daga can sai Kaleb ya kori’ya’yan Anak, maza su uku daga Hebron, wato, Sheshai, Ahiman da Talmai.
And the three sons of Anak, Sheshai and Ahiman and Talmai, the children of Anak, were forced out from there by Caleb.
15 Daga can ya nufi Debir ya yi yaƙi da mutanen da suke zama a can (Dā sunan Debir, Kiriyat Sefer ne).
From there he went up against the people of Debir: (now the name of Debir before that was Kiriath-sepher.)
16 Kaleb ya ce, “Zan ba da’yata Aksa aure ga wanda zai ci Kiriyat Sefer da yaƙi.”
And Caleb said, I will give Achsah, my daughter, as wife to the man who overcomes Kiriath-sepher and takes it.
17 Otniyel ɗan Kenaz, ɗan’uwan Kaleb, ya ci Kiriyat Sefer da yaƙi; saboda haka Kaleb ya ba wa Aksa’yarsa, ya kuwa aure ta.
And Othniel, the son of Kenaz, Caleb's brother, took it: so he gave him his daughter Achsah for his wife.
18 Wata rana da ta zo wurin Otniyel, sai ya zuga ta ta roƙi mahaifinta fili. Da ta sauka daga kan jakinta sai Kaleb ya tambaye ta ya ce, “Me kike so in yi miki?”
Now when she came to him, he put into her mind the idea of requesting a field from her father: and she got down from her ass; and Caleb said to her, What is it?
19 Ta amsa ta ce, “Ka yi mini alheri na musamman, tun da ka ba ni wuri a Negeb, ina roƙonka, ka ba ni maɓulɓulan ruwa.” Kaleb kuwa ya ba ta maɓulɓulan ruwa na tuddai da na kwari.
And she said, Give me a blessing; because you have put me in dry south-land, now give me springs of water. So he gave her the higher spring and the lower spring.
20 Wannan shi ne gādon kabilar Yahuda bisa ga iyalansu.
This is the heritage of the tribe of Judah, by their families.
21 Garuruwan kabilar Yahuda da suke kudu cikin Negeb zuwa iyakar Edom su ne. Kabzeyel, Eder, Yagur,
The farthest towns of the tribe of Judah in the direction of the limits of Edom to the south, were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur;
And Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah;
And Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan;
Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth;
25 Hazor-Hadatta, Keriyot Hezron (wato, Hazor),
And Hazor-hadattah, and Kerioth-hezron (which is Hazor);
Amam, and Shema, and Moladah;
27 Hazar Gadda, Heshmon, Bet-Felet,
And Hazar-gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-pelet;
28 Hazar Shuwal, Beyersheba, Biziyotiya,
And Hazar-shual, and Beer-sheba, and Biziothiah;
Baalah, and Iim, and Ezem;
30 Eltolad, Kesil, Horma,
And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah;
31 Ziklag, Madmanna, Sansanna,
And Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah;
32 Lebayot, Shilhim, Ayin, Rimmon, jimillarsu, garuruwa da ƙauyukansu duka ashirin da tara ne.
And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon; all the towns are twenty-nine, with their unwalled places.
33 Biranen da suke a filayen kwari su ne, Eshtawol, Zora; Ashna,
In the lowland, Eshtaol, and Zorah, and Ashnah;
34 Zanowa, En Gannim, Taffuwa, Enam,
And Zanoah, and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam;
35 Yarmut, Adullam, Soko, Azeka,
Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;
36 Sha’arayim, Aditayim, Gedera (Gederotayim ke nan). Garuruwa goma sha huɗu ke nan da ƙauyukansu.
And Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen towns with their unwalled places.
37 Zenan, Hadasha, Migdal Gad,
Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad;
38 Dileyan, Mizfa, Yokteyel,
And Dilan, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel;
39 Lakish, Bozkat, Eglon,
Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon;
40 Kabbon, Lahman, Kitlish,
And Cabbon, and Lahmas, and Chithlish;
41 Gederot, Bet-Dagon, Na’ama, Makkeda, garuruwa goma sha shida ke nan da ƙauyukansu.
And Gederoth, Beth-dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen towns with their unwalled places.
Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan;
And Iphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib;
44 Keyila, Akzib, Maresha, garuruwa tara ke nan da ƙauyukansu.
And Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine towns with their unwalled places.
45 Ekron da ƙauyukan da suke kewaye da ita;
Ekron, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places;
46 yammancin Ekron da dukan garuruwa da ƙauyukan da suke kusa da Ashdod.
From Ekron to the sea, all the towns by the side of Ashdod, with their unwalled places.
47 Ashdod da garuruwa da kuma ƙauyukan da suke kewaye da ita, Gaza da garuruwanta da ƙauyukanta har zuwa Rafin Masar da kuma Bahar Rum.
Ashdod, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places; Gaza, with her daughter-towns and her unwalled places, to the stream of Egypt, with the Great Sea as a limit.
48 Birane na cikin ƙasar tuddai kuwa, su ne, Shamir, Yattir, Soko,
And in the hill-country, Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh;
49 Danna, Kiriyat Sanna (wato, Debir),
And Dannah, and Kiriath-sannah (which is Debir);
And Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim;
51 Goshen, Holon, Gilo, garuruwa goma sha ɗaya ke nan da ƙauyukansu.
And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven towns with their unwalled places.
Arab, and Dumah, and Eshan;
53 Yanum, Bet-Taffuwa, Afeka,
And Janim, and Beth-tappuah, and Aphekah;
54 Humta, Kiriyat Arba (wato, Hebron) da Ziyor, garuruwa tara ke nan da ƙauyukansu.
And Humtah, and Kiriath-arba (which is Hebron), and Zior; nine towns with their unwalled places.
55 Mawon, Karmel, Zif, Yutta
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Jutah;
56 Yezireyel, Yokdeyam, Zanowa,
And Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah;
57 Kayin, Gibeya, Timna, garuruwa goma ke nan da ƙauyukansu.
Kain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten towns with their unwalled places.
58 Halhul, Bet-Zur, Gedor,
Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor;
59 Ma’arat, Bet-Anot, Eltekon, garuruwa shida ke nan da ƙauyukansu.
And Maarath, and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon; six towns with their unwalled places.
60 Kiriyat Ba’al (wato, Kiriyat Yeyarim) da Rabba, garuruwa biyu ke nan da ƙauyukansu.
Kiriath-baal (which is Kiriath-jearim), and Rabbah; two towns with their unwalled places.
61 Biranen da suke a jeji kuwa su ne, Bet-Araba, Middin, Sekaka,
In the waste land, Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah;
62 Nibshan, Birnin gishiri da En Gedi, garuruwa shida ke nan da ƙauyukansu.
And Nibshan, and the Town of Salt, and En-gedi; six towns with their unwalled places.
63 Kabilar Yahuda kuwa ba su iya korar Yebusiyawa waɗanda suke zama cikin Urushalima ba; har wa yau Yebusiyawa suna nan zaune tare da mutanen Yahuda.
And as for the Jebusites living in Jerusalem, the children of Judah were unable to make them go out; but the Jebusites are living with the children of Judah at Jerusalem, to this day.
