Yohanna 18
1 Da ya gama addu’a, sai Yesu ya fita tare da almajiransa suka haye Kwarin Kidron. A wancan ƙetaren kuwa akwai lambun zaitun, da shi da almajiransa suka shiga ciki.
Having said these things, Jesus went forth with His disciples beyond the Brook of Kidron, where [there] was a garden, into which He entered, Himself and His disciples,
2 To, Yahuda, wanda ya bashe shi, ya san wurin, domin Yesu ya sha zuwa wurin da almajiransa.
and Judas also, who delivered Him up, had known the place, because Jesus assembled there with His disciples many times.
3 Saboda haka Yahuda ya zo cikin lambun, yana jagoranta ƙungiyar sojoji da waɗansu ma’aikata daga wurin manyan firistoci da Farisiyawa. Suna riƙe da toci, fitilu da kuma makamai.
Judas, therefore, having taken the band and officers out of the chief priests and Pharisees, comes there with torches and lamps, and weapons;
4 Yesu kuwa, sane da duk abin da zai same shi, ya fito ya tambaye, su ya ce, “Wa kuke nema?”
Jesus, therefore, knowing all things that are coming on Him, having gone forth, said to them, “Whom do you seek?”
5 Suka amsa suka ce, “Yesu Banazare.” Yesu ya ce, “Ni ne shi.” (Yahuda kuwa wanda ya bashe shi yana nan tsaye tare da su.)
They answered Him, “Jesus the Nazarene”; Jesus says to them, “I AM”; and Judas who delivered Him up was standing with them.
6 Da Yesu ya ce, “Ni ne shi,” sai suka ja da baya suka fāɗi a ƙasa.
When, therefore, He said to them, “I AM,” they went away backward, and fell to the ground.
7 Sai ya sāke tambayar su ya ce, “Wa kuke nema?” Suka ce, “Yesu Banazare.”
Again, therefore, He questioned them, “Whom do you seek?” And they said, “Jesus the Nazarene”;
8 Yesu ya amsa ya ce, “Ai, na gaya muku ni ne shi. In kuma ni ne kuke nema, to, sai ku bar waɗannan su tafi.”
Jesus answered, “I said to you that I AM; if, then, you seek Me, permit these to go away”;
9 Wannan ya faru ne don a cika kalmomin da ya yi cewa, “Ban yar da ko ɗaya daga cikin waɗanda ka ba ni ba.”
that the word might be fulfilled that He said, “Those whom You have given to Me, I did not lose even one of them.”
10 Sai Siman Bitrus, wanda yake da takobi, ya zāre, ya kai wa bawan babban firist sara, ya ɗauke masa kunnensa na dama (Sunan bawan kuwa Malkus ne.)
Simon Peter, therefore, having a sword, drew it, and struck the chief priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear—and the name of the servant was Malchus—
11 Sai Yesu ya umarce Bitrus ya ce, “Mai da takobinka kube! Ba zan sha kwaf da Uba ya ba ni ba?”
Jesus, therefore, said to Peter, “Put the sword into the sheath; the cup that the Father has given to Me, may I not drink it?”
12 Sai ƙungiyar soja tare da shugaban sojanta da kuma ma’aikatan Yahudawa suka kama Yesu. Suka daure shi
The band, therefore, and the captain, and the officers of the Jews, took hold on Jesus, and bound Him,
13 sa’an nan suka kawo shi da farko wurin Annas, wanda yake surukin Kayifas, babban firist a shekaran nan.
and they led Him away to Annas first, for he was father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was chief priest of that year,
14 Kayifas ne wanda ya shawarci Yahudawa cewa zai fi kyau mutum ɗaya yă mutu saboda mutane.
and Caiaphas was he who gave counsel to the Jews that it is good for one man to perish for the people.
15 Siman Bitrus da kuma wani almajiri suna bin Yesu. Domin almajirin nan sananne ne ga babban firist, sai ya shiga tare da Yesu a filin gidan babban firist ɗin,
And following Jesus was Simon Peter, and the other disciple, and that disciple was known to the chief priest, and he entered with Jesus into the hall of the chief priest,
16 Bitrus kuwa ya dakata a waje a bakin ƙofa. Almajirin nan da yake sananne ga babban firist, ya dawo ya yi magana da yarinyar mai aiki a can, ya kuma shigo da Bitrus.
and Peter was standing at the door outside, therefore the other disciple who was known to the chief priest went forth, and he spoke to the doorkeeper, and he brought in Peter.
17 Yarinyar da take bakin ƙofar ta ce wa Bitrus, “Kai ba ɗaya ne daga cikin almajiran mutumin nan ba ne?” Bitrus ya amsa ya ce, “A’a, ba na ciki.”
Then the maid, the doorkeeper, says to Peter, “Are you also of the disciples of this Man?” He says, “I am not”;
18 To, ana sanyi, bayi da ma’aikatan suna tsattsaye kewaye da wutar da suka hura don su ji ɗumi. Bitrus ma yana tsaye tare da su, yana jin ɗumi.
and the servants and the officers were standing, having made a fire of coals, because it was cold, and they were warming themselves, and Peter was standing with them, and warming himself.
19 Ana cikin haka, sai babban firist ya tuhumi Yesu game da almajiransa da kuma koyarwarsa.
The chief priests, therefore, questioned Jesus concerning His disciples, and concerning His teaching;
20 Yesu ya amsa ya ce, “Ai, na yi wa duniya magana a fili. Na kuma sha yin koyarwa a majami’u ko kuma a haikali inda Yahudawa duka sukan taru. Ban taɓa faɗin kome a ɓoye ba.
Jesus answered him, “I spoke freely to the world, I always taught in a synagogue, and in the temple, where the Jews always come together; and I spoke nothing in secret;
21 Don me kake tuhumata? Ka tambayi waɗanda suka ji ni. Ba shakka, sun san abin da na faɗa.”
why do you question Me? Question those having heard what I spoke to them; behold, these have known what I said.”
22 Da Yesu ya faɗa haka, sai ɗaya daga cikin ma’aikatan da yake tsaye kusa ya mare shi a fuska ya ce, “Haka za ka amsa wa babban firist?”
And He having said these things, one of the officers standing by gave Jesus a slap, saying, “Thus do You answer the chief priest?”
23 Yesu ya amsa ya ce, “In na faɗi abin da ba daidai ba, ka nuna abin da ba daidai ba. Amma in gaskiya na faɗa, don me ka mare ni?”
Jesus answered him, “If I spoke ill, testify concerning the ill; and if well, why do you strike Me?”
24 Sai Annas ya aika da shi, a daure, wurin Kayifas babban firist.
Annas then sent Him bound to Caiaphas the chief priest.
25 Da Siman Bitrus yana nan tsaye yana jin ɗumin wuta, sai aka tambaye shi, “Kai, kai ma ba ɗaya daga cikin almajiransa ba ne?” Sai ya yi mūsu, yana cewa, “Sam, ba na ciki.”
And Simon Peter was standing and warming himself, then they said to him, “Are you also of His disciples?” He denied and said, “I am not.”
26 Sai wani daga cikin bayin babban firist dangin wanda Bitrus ya sare wa kunne, ya tambaya shi ya ce, “Kana tsammani ban gan ka tare da shi a gonar zaitun ba?”
One of the servants of the chief priest, being a relative of him whose ear Peter cut off, says, “Did I not see you in the garden with Him?”
27 Bitrus ya sāke yin mūsu, nan take kuwa zakara ya yi cara.
Again, therefore, Peter denied, and immediately a rooster crowed.
28 Sa’an nan Yahudawa suka fitar da Yesu daga wurin Kayifas zuwa fadar gwamnar Roma. A yanzu dai, safiya ta yi, don gudu kada su ƙazantar da kansu Yahudawa ba su shiga cikin fadar ba; sun so su iya ci Bikin Ƙetarewa.
They led, therefore, Jesus from Caiaphas into the Praetorium, and it was early, and they themselves did not enter into the Praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but that they might eat the Passover;
29 Saboda haka Bilatus ya fito wajensu ya ce, “Wace ƙara kuke kawowa game da mutumin nan?”
Pilate, therefore, went forth to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this Man?”
30 Suka amsa suka ce, “Da a ce shi ba mai laifi ba ne, ai, da ba mu bashe shi gare ka ba.”
They answered and said to him, “If He were not doing evil, we had not delivered Him to you.”
31 Bilatus ya ce, “Ku tafi da shi da kanku mana, ku hukunta shi bisa ga dokarku.” Sai Yahudawa suka ƙi suka ce, “Ba mu da ikon yanke wa wani hukuncin kisa.”
Pilate, therefore, said to them, “Take Him—you—and judge Him according to your law”; the Jews, therefore, said to him, “It is not lawful to us to put anyone to death”;
32 Wannan kuwa ya faru ne don a cika kalmomin da Yesu ya yi da suka nuna irin mutuwar da zai yi.
that the word of Jesus might be fulfilled which He said, signifying by what death He was about to die.
33 Sai Bilatus ya koma cikin fada, ya kira Yesu ya tambaye shi, “Shin, kai ne sarkin Yahudawa?”
Pilate, therefore, entered into the Praetorium again, and called Jesus, and said to Him, “You are the King of the Jews?”
34 Yesu ya yi tambaya ya ce, “Wannan ra’ayin kanka ne, ko waɗansu ne suka yi maka magana game da ni?”
Jesus answered him, “Do you say this from yourself? Or did others say it to you about Me?”
35 Bilatus ya amsa ya ce, “Ni mutumin Yahuda ne? Ai, mutanenka ne da kuma manyan firistoci suka bashe ka gare ni. Me ka yi?”
Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your nation and the chief priests delivered You up to me; what did You do?”
36 Yesu ya ce, “Mulkina ba na duniyan nan ba ne. Da na duniyan nan ne da bayina sun yi yaƙi su hana Yahudawa kama ni. Amma fa mulkina daga wani waje ne.”
Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world; if My kingdom were of this world, My officers had struggled that I might not be delivered up to Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”
37 Sai Bilatus ya ce, “To, wato, kai sarki ne!” Yesu ya amsa ya ce, “Haka yake, ni sarki ne yadda ka faɗa. Tabbatacce, saboda wannan dalili ne aka haife ni, kuma don wannan ne na zo duniya, domin in shaidi gaskiya. Duk wanda yake gefen gaskiya yakan saurare ni.”
Pilate, therefore, said to Him, “Are You then a king?” Jesus answered, “You say [it], because I am a king; I have been born for this, and I have come into the world for this, that I may testify to the truth; everyone who is of the truth, hears My voice.”
38 Bilatus ya tambaye shi ya ce, “Mece ce gaskiya?” Da ya faɗi haka, sai ya sāke fitowa wurin Yahudawa ya ce, “Ni fa ban sami wani abin zargi game da shi ba.
Pilate says to Him, “What is truth?” And having said this, again he went forth to the Jews and says to them, “I find no fault in Him;
39 Amma fa kuna da wata al’ada in lokacin Bikin Ƙetarewa ya yi, nakan sakar muku da ɗan kurkuku ɗaya. To, kuna so in sakar muku ‘sarkin Yahudawa’?”
and you have a custom that I will release to you one in the Passover; do you determine, therefore, [that] I will release to you the King of the Jews?”
40 Sai suka ɗau kururuwa suna cewa, “Kai, ba shi ba! A ba mu Barabbas!” To, Barabbas ɗin nan yana da hannu dumu-dumu a wani tawaye.
Therefore they all cried out again, saying, “Not this One—but Barabbas”; and Barabbas was a robber.
