Irmiya 41
1 A wata na goma sha bakwai sai Ishmayel ɗan Netaniya, ɗan Elishama, wanda yake mai jinin sarauta yake kuma ɗaya daga cikin hafsoshin sarki, ya zo tare da mutum goma wurin Gedaliya ɗan Ahikam a Mizfa. Yayinda suke ci tare a can,
Now it came to pass in the seventh month, that Ishmael the son of Nethanyah the son of Elishama', of the royal seed, and the chiefs of the king, even ten men with him, came unto Gedalyahu the son of Achikam to Mizpah; and they ate there bread together in Mizpah.
2 sai Ishmayel ɗan Netaniya da mutum goma waɗanda suke tare da shi suka kashe Gedaliya ɗan Ahikam, ɗan Shafan, da takobi, suka kashe wannan da sarkin Babilon ya naɗa a matsayin gwamna a kan ƙasar.
Then arose Ishmael the son of Nethanyah, and the ten men that were with him, and smote Gedalyahu the son of Achikam the son of Shaphan with the sword, and put to death him, whom the king of Babylon had appointed governor over the land.
3 Ishmayel ya kuma kashe dukan Yahudawan da suke tare da Gedaliya a Mizfa, haka ma ya yi da sojojin Babiloniyawan da suke can.
And all the Jews that were with him, even with Gedalyahu, at Mizpah, and the Chaldeans that were found there, even the men of war, did Ishmael slay.
4 Kashegari bayan an kashe Gedaliya, kafin wani ya san abin da ya faru,
And it came to pass on the second day after he had put Gedalyahu to death, while no man knew of it,
5 sai ga mutane tamanin daga Shekem, Shilo da Samariya suka zo da gemunsu a aske, da tufafinsu a kece, da jikunansu a tsage, suka kawo hadayun gari da turare tare da su a gidan Ubangiji.
That there came certain men from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria, eighty men [in all], having their beards shaven, and their clothes rent, and having cut themselves, with meat-offerings and frankincense in their hand, to bring the same to the house of the Lord.
6 Ishmayel ɗan Netaniya ya fito daga Mizfa don yă sadu da su. Sa’ad da ya sadu da su, sai ya ce, “Ku zo wurin Gedaliya ɗan Ahikam.”
And Ishmael the son of Nethanyah went forth from Mizpah to meet them, going along and weeping: and it came to pass as he met them, that he said unto them, Come to Gedalyahu the son of Achikam.
7 Da suka shiga cikin birni, sai Ishmayel ɗan Netaniya da mutanen da suke tare da shi suka karkashe su suka zubar a rijiya.
And it happened, as they entered into the midst of the city, that Ishmael the son of Nethanyah slaughtered them, [and cast them] into the midst of the cistern, he, and the men that were with him.
8 Amma goma daga cikinsu suka ce wa Ishmayel, “Kada ka kashe mu, muna da alkama da sha’ir, mai da kuma zuma, a ɓoye a gona.” Saboda haka ka bar mu kada ka kashe mu tare da sauran.
But ten men were found among them that said unto Ishmael, Slay us not; for we have some things hidden in the field, [such as] wheat, and barley, and oil, and honey. So he forbore, and slew them not in the midst of their brethren.
9 To, rijiyar da ya zubar da gawawwakin mutanen da ya kashe tare da ta Gedaliya ita ce wadda Sarki Asa ya haƙa a matsayin kāriya saboda Ba’asha sarkin Isra’ila. Ishmayel ɗan Netaniya ya cika ta da gawawwaki.
And the cistern wherein Ishmael cast all the corpses of the men, whom he had slain in company with Gedalyahu, is the same which king Assa had made on account of Ba'sha the king of Israel: this did Ishmael the son of Nethanyah fill with slain persons.
10 Ishmayel ya mai da dukan sauran mutanen da suke Mizfa bayi’ya’yan sarki mata tare da dukan sauran da aka bari a can, waɗanda Nebuzaradan shugaban matsaran sarki ya bari a hannun Gedaliya ɗan Ahikam. Ishmayel ɗan Netaniya ya kwashe su ganima, ya tashi don yă haye zuwa wurin Ammonawa.
Then did Ishmael carry away captive all the residue of the people that were in Mizpah, the king's daughters, and all the people that were remaining in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had entrusted to Gedalyahu the son of Achikam: and Ishmael the son of Nethanyah carried them away captive, and went off to pass over to the children of Ammon.
11 Sa’ad da Yohanan ɗan Kareya da dukan shugabannin sojojin da suke tare da shi suka ji dukan laifofin da Ishmayel ɗan Netaniya ya aikata,
But when Jochanan the son of Kareach, and all the captains of the armies that were with him, heard of all the evil that Ishmael the son of Nethanyah had done:
12 sai suka kwashe dukan mutanensu suka tafi don su yaƙi Ishmayel ɗan Netaniya. Suka iske shi kusa da babban tafki a Gibeyon.
Then did they take all the men, and went to fight with Ishmael the son of Nethanyah, and found him by the great water[-pool] that is near Gib'on.
13 Sa’ad da dukan mutanen da suke tare da Ishmayel suka ga Yohanan ɗan Kareya da shugabannin sojojin da suke tare da shi, sai suka yi farin ciki.
And it came to pass, when all the people who were with Ishmael saw Jochanan the son of Kareach, and all the captains of the armies that were with him, that they were rejoiced.
14 Dukan mutanen da Ishmayel ya kame a Mizfa suka juya, suka tafi wurin Yohanan ɗan Kareya.
And all the people that Ishmael had carried away captive from Mizpah turned about and returned, and went unto Jochanan the son of Kareach.
15 Amma Ishmayel ɗan Netaniya da mutanensa takwas suka tsere daga Yohanan suka gudu zuwa wurin Ammonawa.
But Ishmael the son of Nethanyah escaped with eight men from the presence of Jochanan, and he went to the children of 'Ammon.
16 Sai Yohanan ɗan Kareya da dukan shugabannin sojojin da suke tare da shi suka bi da dukan waɗanda suka tsira daga Mizfa waɗanda ya karɓe daga Ishmayel ɗan Netaniya bayan ya kashe Gedaliya ɗan Ahikam, wato, sojoji, mata, yara da fadawan da ya kawo daga Gibeyon
Then took Jochanan the son of Kareach, and all the captains of the armies that were with him, all the remnant of the people whom he had recovered from Ishmael the son of Nethanyah, from Mizpah, after he had slain Gedalyah the son of Achikam, the adult males, the men of war, and the women, and the children, and the eunuchs, whom he had brought back from Gib'on;
17 Sai suka ci gaba, suka dakata a Gerut Kimham kusa da Betlehem a kan hanyarsu zuwa Masar
And they went, and remained in Geruth-Kimham, which is by Beth-lechem, to go to enter into Egypt,
18 don su kuɓuce wa Babiloniyawa. Sun ji tsoronsu domin Ishmayel ɗan Netaniya ya kashe Gedaliya ɗan Ahikam, wanda sarkin Babilon ya naɗa gwamna a kan ƙasar.
Because of the Chaldeans; for they were afraid of them; because Ishmael the son of Nethanyah had slain Gedalyahu the son of Achikam, whom the king of Babylon had appointed governor over the land.
