1 Waɗannan su ne umarnai, ƙa’idodi da kuma dokokin da Ubangiji Allahnku ya umarce ni in koya muku don ku kiyaye a ƙasar da kuke haye Urdun don mallaka,
These are the commandments and statutes and ordinances that the LORD your God has instructed me to teach you to follow in the land that you are about to enter and possess,
2 saboda ku,’ya’yanku, da kuma’ya’yansu bayansu za su ji tsoron Ubangiji Allahnku muddin kuna rayuwa ta wurin kiyaye dukan ƙa’idodinsa da umarnan da na ba ku, da kuma don ku yi tsawon rai.
so that you and your children and grandchildren may fear the LORD your God all the days of your lives by keeping all His statutes and commandments that I give you, and so that your days may be prolonged.
3 Ku ji, ya Isra’ila, ku kuma kula, ku kiyaye su don yă zama muku da lafiya, ku kuma ƙaru sosai a ƙasa mai zub da madara da zuma, kamar dai yadda Ubangiji, Allahn kakanninku ya yi muku alkawari.
Hear, O Israel, and be careful to observe them, so that you may prosper and multiply greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you.
4 Ku ji, ya Isra’ila, Ubangiji Allahnmu, Ubangiji ɗaya ne.
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is One.
5 Ku ƙaunaci Ubangiji Allahnku da dukan zuciyarku, da dukan ranku, da kuma dukan ƙarfinku.
And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
6 Waɗannan umarnai da nake ba ku a yau, za su kasance a zukatanku.
These words I am commanding you today are to be upon your hearts.
7 Ku koya wa’ya’yanku su da himma. Yi musu magana game da su sa’ad da kuke zaune a gida, da sa’ad da kuke tafiya a hanya, sa’ad da kuke kwance, da sa’ad da kuka tashi.
And you shall teach them diligently to your children and speak of them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
8 Ku ɗaura su su zama alamu a hannuwanku, ku kuma ɗaura su a goshinku.
Tie them as reminders on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
9 Ku rubuta su a dogaran ƙofofin gidajenku, da ƙofofinku.
Write them on the doorposts of your houses and on your gates.
10 Sa’ad da Ubangiji Allahnku ya kawo ku cikin ƙasar da ya rantse ga kakanninku, ga Ibrahim, Ishaku da Yaƙub, yă ba ku, ƙasa mai girma, mai manyan biranen da ba ku kuka gina ba,
And when the LORD your God brings you into the land He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, that He would give you—a land with great and splendid cities that you did not build,
11 gidaje cike da kowane irin abubuwa masu kyau, da ba ku kuka tanadar ba, rijiyoyin da ba ku kuka haƙa ba, da gonakin inabi da itatuwan zaitun da ba ku kuka shuka ba, sa’ad da kuwa kuka ci, kuka kuma ƙoshi,
with houses full of every good thing with which you did not fill them, with wells that you did not dig, and with vineyards and olive groves that you did not plant—and when you eat and are satisfied,
12 ku yi hankali cewa ba ku manta da Ubangiji wanda ya fitar da ku daga Masar, da gidan bauta ba.
be careful not to forget the LORD who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
13 Ku ji tsoron Ubangiji Allahnku, ku bauta masa shi kaɗai, ku kuma yi alkawaranku da sunansa.
Fear the LORD your God, serve Him only, and take your oaths in His name.
14 Kada ku bi waɗansu alloli, allolin mutanen da suke kewaye da ku;
Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you.
15 gama Ubangiji Allahnku, wanda yake cikinku, Allah ne mai kishi, fushinsa kuma zai yi ƙuna gāba da ku, zai kuma hallaka ku daga fuskar ƙasar.
For the LORD your God, who is among you, is a jealous God. Otherwise the anger of the LORD your God will be kindled against you, and He will wipe you off the face of the earth.
16 Kada ku gwada Ubangiji Allahnku kamar yadda kuka yi a Massa.
Do not test the LORD your God as you tested Him at Massah.
17 Ku tabbata kun kiyaye umarnan Ubangiji Allahnku, da farillansa da kuma ƙa’idodinsa da ya ba ku.
You are to diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God and the testimonies and statutes He has given you.
18 Ku aikata abin da yake daidai da kuma mai kyau a idon Ubangiji, don yă zama muka da lafiya, ku kuwa shiga ku mallaki ƙasa mai kyau da Ubangiji ya yi alkawari da rantsuwa ga kakanninku.
Do what is right and good in the sight of the LORD, so that it may be well with you and that you may enter and possess the good land that the LORD your God swore to give your fathers,
19 Zai kuwa korin dukan abokan gābanku da suke gabanku, yadda Ubangiji ya faɗa.
driving out all your enemies before you, as the LORD has said.
20 Nan gaba, sa’ad da’ya’yanku suka tambaye ku, “Mene ne ma’anar farillai, ƙa’idodi da kuma dokokin da Ubangiji Allahnmu ya umarce ku?”
In the future, when your son asks, “What is the meaning of the decrees and statutes and ordinances that the LORD our God has commanded you?”
21 Sai ku gaya musu, “Dā mu bayin Fir’auna ne a Masar, amma Ubangiji ya fitar da mu daga Masar da hannu masu ƙarfi.
then you are to tell him, “We were slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt, but the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
22 A idanunmu Ubangiji ya aikata manyan alamu masu banmamaki, da al’ajabai gāba da Masarawa, da Fir’auna, da kuma dukan gidansa.
Before our eyes the LORD inflicted great and devastating signs and wonders on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his household.
23 Amma ya fitar da mu daga can domin yă kawo mu cikin ƙasar da ya yi wa kakanninmu alkawari tare da rantsuwa zai ba mu.
But He brought us out from there to lead us in and give us the land that He had sworn to our fathers.
24 Ubangiji ya umarce mu mu yi biyayya da dukan waɗannan ƙa’idodi, mu kuma ji tsoron Ubangiji Allahnmu, saboda kullum mu ci gaba, a kuma bar mu da rai, kamar yadda yake a yau.
And the LORD commanded us to observe all these statutes and to fear the LORD our God, that we may always be prosperous and preserved, as we are to this day.
25 In kuma muka kula, muka kiyaye dukan dokokin nan a gaban Ubangiji Allahnmu, kamar yadda ya umarce mu, wannan zai zama adalci a gare mu.”
And if we are careful to observe every one of these commandments before the LORD our God, as He has commanded us, then that will be our righteousness.”
