Ayyukan Manzanni 6
1 A waɗannan kwanaki, sa’ad da yawan almajirai suke ƙaruwa, sai Yahudawan masu jin Hellenanci a cikinsu suka yi gunaguni a kan Yahudawan da suke Ibraniyawa domin ba a kula da gwaurayensu a wajen raba abinci na yau da kullum.
Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, a complaint arose from the Hellenists against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily service.
2 Saboda haka Sha Biyun nan suka tara dukan almajirai wuri ɗaya, suka ce, “Bai zai yi kyau mu bar hidimar maganar Allah don mu shiga hidimar abinci ba.
So the twelve summoned the full number of the disciples and said, "It is not appropriate for us to forsake the word of God and serve tables.
3 ’Yan’uwa, ku zaɓi mutum bakwai daga cikinku waɗanda aka sani suna cike da Ruhu da kuma hikima. Mu kuwa za mu danƙa musu wannan aiki
Therefore select from among you, brothers, seven men of good report, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
4 mu kuwa mu mai da halinmu ga yin addu’a da kuma hidimar maganar Allah.”
But we will continue steadfastly in prayer and in the ministry of the word."
5 Wannan shawarar kuwa ta gamshi dukan ƙungiyar. Sai suka zaɓi Istifanus, mutumin da yake cike da bangaskiya da kuma Ruhu Mai Tsarki; da Filibus, Burokorus, Nikano, Timon, Farmenas, da Nikolas daga Antiyok, wanda ya tuba zuwa Yahudanci.
And these words pleased the whole gathering. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolaus, a proselyte of Antioch;
6 Suka gabatar da waɗannan mutane wa manzanni, waɗanda kuwa suka yi addu’a, suka ɗibiya hannuwansu a kansu.
whom they set before the apostles. When they had prayed, they laid their hands on them.
7 Saboda haka maganar Allah ta yaɗu. Yawan almajirai a Urushalima kuwa ya yi saurin ƙaruwa, firistoci masu yawa kuma suka zama masu biyayya ga wannan bangaskiya.
The word of God increased and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem; and a large group of the priests were obedient to the faith.
8 To, Istifanus, mutum cike da alheri da ikon Allah, ya aikata manyan ayyukan da alamu masu banmamaki a cikin mutane.
Stephen, full of grace and power, performed great wonders and signs among the people.
9 Sai hamayya ta taso daga’yan ƙungiyar Majami’a na’Yantattu (kamar yadda ake kiransu), Yahudawan Sairin da Alekzandariya da kuma lardunan Silisiya da Asiya. Mutanen nan suka fara muhawwara da Istifanus,
But some of those who were of the synagogue called "The Libertines," and of the Cyrenians, of the Alexandrians, and of those of Cilicia and Asia arose, disputing with Stephen.
10 amma ba su iya cin nasara kan hikimarsa ko kuma a kan Ruhu wanda ta wurinsa ne ya magana ba.
They weren't able to withstand the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.
11 Sa’an nan a asirce suka zuga waɗansu mutane su ce, “Mun ji Istifanus ya faɗa kalmomin saɓo game da Musa da kuma Allah.”
Then they secretly induced men to say, "We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God."
12 Ta haka suka tā da hankalin mutane da dattawa da kuma malaman dokoki. Suka kama Istifanus suka kawo shi a gaban Majalisa.
They stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes, and came against him and seized him, and brought him in to the council,
13 Suka kawo masu ba da shaidar ƙarya, waɗanda suka ba da shaida cewa, “Wannan mutum ba ya rabuwa da maganar banza a kan wurin nan mai tsarki da kuma doka.
and set up false witnesses who said, "This man never stops speaking blasphemous words against this holy place and the Law.
14 Gama mun ji shi yana cewa wannan Yesu Banazare zai rushe wurin nan ya kuma canja al’adun da Musa ya ba mu.”
For we have heard him say that this Jesus the Nazorean will destroy this place, and will change the customs which Moses delivered to us."
15 Dukan waɗanda suke zaune a Majalisar suka kafa wa Istifanus ido, suka kuma ga fuskarsa ta yi kama da ta mala’ika.
All who sat in the council, fastening their eyes on him, saw his face like it was the face of an angel.
