1 Bulus ya kai Derbe sa’an nan kuma zuwa Listira, inda wani almajiri mai suna Timoti yake da zama, wanda mahaifiyarsa mutuniyar Yahuda ce kuma mai bi ce, amma mahaifinsa mutumin Hellenawa ne.
So he came to Derbe and Lystra. Well now, a certain disciple was there named Timothy, son of a certain Jewish woman who believed, but his father was a Greek;
2 ’Yan’uwa a Listira da Ikoniyum sun yi magana mai kyau ƙwarai a kansa.
he was well spoken of by the brothers in Lystra and Iconium.
3 Bulus ya so ya ɗauke shi a tafiyar, saboda haka ya yi masa kaciya, domin Yahudawan da suke da zama a wurin, don duk sun san cewa mahaifinsa mutumin Hellenawa ne.
Paul wanted to have him go on with him, so he took and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those parts, because they all knew that his father was a Greek.
As they were going through the cities they were delivering the dogmas to them, to keep—the ones that had been determined by the apostles and the elders in Jerusalem.
5 Saboda haka ikkilisiyoyi suka ginu cikin bangaskiya suka kuma yi girma suka yi ta ƙaruwa kowace rana.
So the congregations kept on being strengthened in the faith, and were increasing in number daily.
6 Bulus da abokan tafiyarsa suka zazzaga dukan yankin Firjiya da Galatiya, don Ruhu Mai Tsarki ya hana su yin wa’azi a lardin Asiya.
Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, having been forbidden by the Holy Spirit to speak the word in Asia,
7 Da suka isa kan iyakar Misiya, suka yi ƙoƙari su shiga Bitiniya, amma Ruhun Yesu bai yarda musu ba.
they approached Mysia and tried to go to Bithynia, but the Spirit did not permit them.
8 Saboda haka suka ratsa Misiya suka zo Toruwas.
So they bypassed Mysia and went down to Troas.
9 Da dare Bulus ya ga wahayin wani mutumin Makidoniya yana tsaye yana roƙonsa cewa, “Ka zo Makidoniya ka taimake mu.”
A vision appeared to Paul during the night: a man of Macedonia was standing, appealing to him and saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”
10 Bayan Bulus ya ga wahayin, muka shirya nan take mu tashi zuwa Makidoniya, mun tabbata cewa, Allah ya kira mu mu yi musu wa’azin bishara.
So when he saw the vision, we immediately prepared to go over to Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to evangelize them.
11 Daga Toruwas muka tashi zuwa teku muka kuma shiga jirgin ruwa muka miƙe kai tsaye zuwa Samotiras, kashegari kuma muka nufi Neyafolis.
So setting sail from Troas, we ran a straight course to Samothrace, and the next day to Neapolis;
12 Daga can muka tafi Filibbi, wata babbar alkaryar Roma wadda kuma take babban birni a gundumar Makidoniya. Muka zauna a can kwanaki masu yawa.
and from there to Philippi, which is the foremost city of that part of Macedonia, a colony. We stayed some days in that city.
13 A Asabbaci, muka fita ƙofar birnin zuwa bakin kogi, inda muke tsammani za mu sami wurin yin addu’a. Muka zauna muka fara yin wa matan da suka taru a can magana.
On the Sabbath day we went outside the city by a river, where prayer was customarily made, and sitting down we started speaking to the assembled women.
14 Ɗaya daga cikin waɗanda suka saurare mu mace ce mai suna Lidiya, mai sayar da yadunan jan garura masu tsada daga birnin Tiyatira, mai yi wa Allah sujada. Ubangiji ya buɗe zuciyarta har ta karɓi saƙon Bulus.
A certain woman named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God, really listened, whose heart the Lord opened to give heed to the things spoken by Paul.
15 Da aka yi mata baftisma tare da iyalin gidanta, sai ta gayyace mu zuwa gidanta.
When she and her household were baptized, she appealed saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house and stay.” So she persuaded us.
Now it happened, as we were going to prayer, that a certain slave girl having a spirit of divination met us, who brought considerable profit to her owners by divination.
17 Wannan yarinya kuwa ta bi Bulus da kuma sauranmu, tana ihu tana cewa, “Waɗannan mutane bayin Allah Mafi Ɗaukaka ne, suna sanar da ku hanyar ceto.”
Following Paul and Silas this girl kept calling out, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are proclaiming to us the way of salvation!”
18 Ta yi ta faɗin haka har kwanaki masu yawa. A ƙarshe Bulus ya damu ƙwarai sai ya juya ya ce wa aljanin, “A cikin sunan Yesu Kiristi na umarce ka, ka rabu da ita!” Nan take aljanin ya rabu da ita.
She kept this up for many days! So Paul, becoming increasingly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her!” And it came out that very hour.
19 Da iyayengijin baranyar suka ga hanyar samun kuɗinsu ta toshe, sai suka kama Bulus da Sila suka ja su zuwa cikin kasuwa don su fuskanci hukuma.
But when her owners saw that their hope of profit was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the market place to the rulers,
and bringing them before the magistrates they said, “These men, being Jews, are agitating our city,
and are advocating customs that are not lawful for us, being Romans, to receive or do.”
22 Sai taron suka fāɗa wa Bulus da Sila gaba ɗaya, alƙalan kuwa suka yi umarni a tuɓe su a kuma yi musu dūka.
The crowd joined in the attack against them, and the magistrates tore the clothes off of them and ordered a beating with rods.
23 Bayan an yi musu bulala sosai, sai aka jefa su cikin kurkuku, aka umarci mai gadin kurkukun yă tsare su da kyau.
When they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, charging the jailer to keep them securely;
24 Da karɓan irin umarnan nan, sai ya sa su can cikin ɗakin kurkuku na ciki-ciki, kuma ya ɗaura ƙafafunsu a turu.
who, having received such a charge, threw them into the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.
25 Wajen tsakar dare Bulus da Sila suna addu’a suna rera waƙoƙi ga Allah, sauran’yan kurkuku kuwa suna sauraronsu.
Well about midnight Paul and Silas were singing hymns to God in prayer; and the other prisoners were listening to them.
26 Ba zato ba tsammani sai aka yi wata babbar girgizar ƙasa har tushen ginin kurkukun ya jijjiga.
Suddenly there was a great earthquake, enough to shake the foundations of the prison; immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were loosed.
But the jailer, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, drew sword, intending to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped.
Dukanmu muna nan!”
But Paul shouted out, “Don't harm yourself, because we are all here!”
29 Mai gadin kurkukun ya kira a kawo fitilu, ya ruga ciki ya fāɗi yana rawan jiki a gaban Bulus da Sila.
So calling for a light he ran in and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas.
30 Sai ya fito da su waje ya kuma tambaye su ya ce, “Ranku yă daɗe, me zan yi domin in sami ceto?”
He then brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
So they said, “Believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household.”
Then they spoke the Word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.
In that same hour of the night he took them aside and washed their wounds, and thereupon he and all his family were baptized.
Then he brought them into his house and set a meal before them, and he was really rejoicing, having believed in God with his whole family.
35 Da gari ya waye, sai alƙalan suka aika ma’aikatansu wajen mai gadin kurkukun da umarni cewa, “Ka saki mutanen nan.”
Now when it was day the magistrates sent the officers saying, “Let those men go.”
Yanzu sai ku tafi. Ku sauka lafiya.”
So the jailer reported these words to Paul, “The magistrates have sent to release you; so now you can leave and go in peace.”
37 Amma Bulus ya ce wa ma’aikatan, “Sun yi mana dūka a fili ba tare da shari’a ba, ko da yake mu’yan ƙasar Roma ne, suka kuma jefa mu cikin kurkuku. Yanzu suna so su fitar da mu a ɓoye? A’a! Sai dai su zo da kansu su rako mu waje.”
But Paul said to them: “After severely beating us in public, although we were uncondemned Romans, they threw us into prison, and now do they toss us out on the sly? No way! Rather, let them come themselves and escort us out!”
38 Sai ma’aikatan suka faɗa wa alƙalan wannan, da suka ji cewa Bulus da Sila Romawa ne, sai suka ji tsoro.
So the officers reported these words to the magistrates, and they were afraid when they heard that they were Romans;
39 Sai suka zo don su roƙe su, suka yi musu rakiya daga kurkukun, suna roƙonsu su bar birnin.
and they came and appealed to them, and leading them out they asked them to leave the city.
40 Bayan Bulus da Sila suka fita daga kurkukun, sai suka tafi gidan Lidiya, inda suka sadu da’yan’uwa suka kuma ƙarfafa su. Sa’an nan suka tafi.
So exiting the prison they entered Lydia's place, and upon seeing the brothers they encouraged them and departed.
