1 A Ikoniyum Bulus da Barnabas suka shiga majami’ar Yahudawa yadda suka saba. A can suka yi magana gabagadi har Yahudawa da Al’ummai masu yawa suka gaskata.
And it came to pass in Iconium that they together entered into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake that there believed, both of Jews and Greeks, a great throng.
2 Amma Yahudawan da suka ƙi ba da gaskata, suka zuga Al’ummai suka sa ɓata tsakaninsu da’yan’uwa.
But, the unpersuaded Jews, roused up and provoked the souls of them of the nations against the brethren.
3 Bulus da Barnabas kuwa suka daɗe sosai a can, suna magana gabagadi saboda Ubangiji, wanda kuwa ya tabbatar da saƙon alherinsa ta wurinsa su su aikata ayyuka da alamu masu banmamaki.
A good while, therefore, tarried they, using boldness of speech [in dependence] upon the Lord, who was bearing witness unto his word of favour, granting signs and wonders to be coming to pass through their hands.
4 Mutanen birnin suka rarrabu, waɗansu suka goyi bayan Yahudawa, waɗansu kuma suka goyi bayan manzannin.
And the throng of the city was divided; and some indeed were with the Jews, while some were with the apostles.
5 Yahudawa da Al’ummai tare da shugabanninsu suka ƙulla shawara a tsakaninsu, domin su wulaƙanta su su kuma jajjefe su da duwatsu.
But, when there took place an assault both of them of the nations and of the Jews, with their rulers, to maltreat and to stone them,
6 Amma suka sami labari suka kuma gudu zuwa biranen Ikoniyum na Listira da Derbe da kuma ƙauyukan kewaye,
They became aware of it, and fled unto the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the surrounding country;
7 inda suka ci gaba da wa’azin labari mai daɗi.
And, there, were they announcing the glad tidings.
8 A Listira kuwa akwai wani gurgu zaune a ƙafafunsa, wanda gurgu ne tun haihuwa, kuma bai taɓa tafiya ba.
And, a certain man in Lystra, impotent in his feet, was sitting, —lame from his mother’s womb, who never had walked.
9 Ya kasa kunne yayinda Bulus yake magana. Bulus kuma ya kafa masa ido, ya lura cewa yana da bangaskiyar da za tă warkar da shi
This man, hearkened unto Paul, as he was speaking, —who, looking steadfastly at him, and seeing he had faith to be made well,
10 sai ya ɗaga murya ya ce, “Tashi ka tsaya kan ƙafafunka!” Da jin haka, sai mutumin ya yi wuf ya kuma fara tafiya.
Said, with a loud voice—Stand up on thy feet, erect! And he sprang up, and began to walk about.
11 Sa’ad da taron suka ga abin da Bulus ya yi, sai suka ihu da harshen Likayoniyawa, suna cewa, “Alloli sun sauka mana da siffar mutane!”
And, the multitudes, seeing what Paul had done, lifted up their voice, in the speech of Lycaonia—The gods, made like unto men, have come down unto us!
12 Sai suka ba wa Barnabas, sunan Zeyus, Bulus kuma suka kira Hermes domin shi ne shugaban magana.
And they went on to call Barnabas, Jupiter, and Paul, Mercury, seeing that, he, was the leader of discourse.
13 Firist na Zeyus, wanda haikalinsa ke bayan birni, ya kawo bijimai da furanni a ƙofofin birni domin shi da taron mutanen sun so su miƙa musu hadayu.
Also, the priest of the Jupiter that was before the city, bringing bulls and garlands unto the gates, with the multitudes, would have offered sacrifice.
14 Amma da manzannin nan Barnabas da Bulus suka ji haka, sai suka yayyage tufafinsu suka ruga cikin taron, suna ihu suna cewa,
But the apostles Barnabas and Paul, hearing of it, rending asunder their own mantles, sprang forward amidst the multitude, crying aloud,
15 “Ya ku mutane, don me kuke yin haka? Ai, mu ma mutane ne kawai,’yan adam ne kamar ku. Mun kawo muku labari mai daɗi ne, muna gaya muku ku juya daga waɗannan abubuwa banza, ku juyo ga Allah mai rai, wanda ya yi sama da ƙasa da teku da kuma dukan abin da yake cikinsu.
and saying—Men! Why, these things, are ye doing? We also, of like nature with you, are men, bringing you the good news, that from these vain things, ye should be turning unto a living God: —Who made heaven and the earth and the sea and all things therein;
16 A zamanin dā, ya bar dukan ƙasashe su yi yadda suka ga dama.
Who in the bygone generations suffered all the nations to be going on in their own ways, —
17 Duk da haka bai bar kansa babu shaida ba. Ya nuna alheri ta wurin ba ku ruwan sama da kuma amfanin gona a lokutansu; ya ba ku abinci mai yawa ya kuma cika zukatanku da farin ciki.”
Although, not without witness, he left himself, doing good, from heaven, upon you, giving rain and fruitful seasons, filling, with food and gladness, your hearts.
18 Ko da waɗannan kalmomi ma, da ƙyar suka hana jama’an nan yin musu hadaya.
Even these things, saying, scarcely restrained they the multitudes from offering sacrifice unto them.
19 Sai waɗansu Yahudawa suka zo daga Antiyok da Ikoniyum suka sha kan taron. Suka jajjefi Bulus da duwatsu suka kuma ja shi bayan birni, suna tsammani ya mutu.
But there came thither, from Antioch and Iconium, Jews, and, persuading the multitudes, and stoning Paul, they dragged him outside the city, supposing him to be dead.
20 Amma bayan da almajiran suka taru kewaye da shi, sai ya tashi ya koma cikin birni. Kashegari shi da Barnabas suka tashi zuwa Derbe.
Howbeit, the disciples surrounding him, he rose up, and entered into the city. And, on the morrow, he went forth, with Barnabas, unto Derbe.
21 Suka yi wa’azin Labari mai daɗi a wannan birni, suka kuma sami almajirai da yawa. Sai suka koma Listira, Ikoniyum da kuma Antiyok,
Delivering the good news unto that city also, and making a good number of disciples, they returned unto Lystra, and unto Iconium, and unto Antioch, —
22 suna gina almajirai suna kuma ƙarfafa su su tsaya da gaske cikin bangaskiya. Suka ce, “Sai da shan wahaloli masu yawa za mu shiga mulkin Allah.”
confirming the souls of the disciples, beseeching them to abide in the faith, and [declaring] that, through many tribulations, must we enter into the kingdom of God.
23 Bulus da Barnabas suka naɗa musu dattawa a kowace ikkilisiya, tare da addu’a da azumi, suka miƙa su ga Ubangiji, wanda suka dogara da shi.
Moreover, appointing unto them by vote, in each assembly, elders, praying with fastings, they commended them unto the Lord on whom they had believed.
24 Bayan sun bi ta Fisidiya, sai suka zo cikin Famfiliya,
And, passing through Pisidia, they came into Pamphylia;
25 kuma sa’ad da suka yi wa’azi a Ferga, sai suka gangara zuwa Attaliya.
and, speaking in Perga the word, they came down unto Attalia;
26 Daga Attaliya kuma suka shiga jirgin ruwa suka koma Antiyok, inda dā aka danƙa su ga alherin Allah saboda aikin da suka kammala yanzu.
and, from thence, they set sail for Antioch, whence they had been given up unto the favour of God for the work which they had fulfilled.
27 Da isarsu a can, sai suka tara ikkilisiya wuri ɗaya suka ba da rahoton duk abin da Allah ya aikata ta wurinsu da kuma yadda ya buɗe ƙofar bangaskiya domin Al’ummai.
And, when they had arrived and gathered together the assembly, they began recounting how many things God had done with them, and that he had opened, unto the nations, a door of faith.
28 Suka kuma jima a can tare da almajirai.
And they spent no little time with the disciples.
