< 2 Sama’ila 12 >
1 Ubangiji ya aiki Natan wurin Dawuda. Da ya tafi wajensa, sai ya ce, “An yi waɗansu mutum biyu a wani gari, ɗaya mai arziki, ɗayan kuma matalauci.
And the LORD sent Nathan to David. And he came to him, and said to him, There were two men in one city; the one rich, and the other poor.
2 Mai arzikin yana da babban garken tumaki, da kuma shanu,
The rich man had exceeding many flocks and herds:
Takan ci tare da shi ta sha ruwa a kwaf nasa, har ma ta kwanta a ƙirjinsa. Ta ma zama kamar’ya a gare shi.
But the poor man had nothing, save one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up: and it grew up together with him, and with his children; it did eat of his own meat, and drank of his own cup, and lay in his bosom, and was to him as a daughter.
And there came a travelers to the rich man, and he spared to take of his own flock and of his own herd, to dress for the wayfaring man that was come to him; but took the poor man’s lamb, and dressed it for the man that was come to him.
And David’s anger was greatly kindled against the man; and he said to Nathan, As the LORD lives, the man that has done this thing shall surely die:
6 Dole yă biya diyyar tunkiyan nan sau huɗu, domin ya aikata haka ba tausayi.”
And he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.
And Nathan said to David, You are the man. Thus says the LORD God of Israel, I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul;
And I gave you your master’s house, and your master’s wives into your bosom, and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given to you such and such things.
9 Me ya sa ka rena maganar Ubangiji ta wurin yin mugunta haka a idonsa? Ka kashe Uriya mutumin Hitti da takobi, ka kuma ɗauki matarsa tă zama matarka. Ka kashe shi da takobin Ammonawa.
Why have you despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? you have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and have taken his wife to be your wife, and have slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.
10 To, fa, takobi ba zai taɓa rabu da gidanka ba, domin ka rena ni, ka kuma ƙwace matar Uriya mutumin Hitti ta zama matarka.’
Now therefore the sword shall never depart from your house; because you have despised me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.
Thus says the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house, and I will take your wives before your eyes, and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.
12 Ka aikata wannan a ɓoye, amma zan aikata wannan da rana tsaka, a gaban dukan Isra’ila.’”
For you did it secretly: but I will do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.
And David said to Nathan, I have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said to David, The LORD also has put away your sin; you shall not die.
However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born to you shall surely die.
And Nathan departed to his house. And the LORD struck the child that Uriah’s wife bore to David, and it was very sick.
16 Dawuda ya roƙi Allah saboda yaron. Ya yi azumi, ya kuma shiga gidansa ya kwana kwance a ƙasa.
David therefore sought God for the child; and David fasted, and went in, and lay all night on the earth.
And the elders of his house arose, and went to him, to raise him up from the earth: but he would not, neither did he eat bread with them.
18 A rana ta bakwai sai yaron ya rasu.
And it came to pass on the seventh day, that the child died. And the servants of David feared to tell him that the child was dead: for they said, Behold, while the child was yet alive, we spoke to him, and he would not listen to our voice: how will he then vex himself, if we tell him that the child is dead?
Suka ce, “I, ya rasu.”
But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead: therefore David said to his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead.
20 Sa’an nan Dawuda ya tashi daga ƙasa.
Then David arose from the earth, and washed, and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the LORD, and worshipped: then he came to his own house; and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat.
21 Barorinsa suka ce masa, “Me ya sa kake yin haka? Yayinda yaron yake da rai, ka yi azumi, ka kuma yi kuka, amma yanzu da yaron ya mutu, ka tashi, ka kuma ci abinci!”
Then said his servants to him, What thing is this that you have done? you did fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, you did rise and eat bread.
And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and wept: for I said, Who can tell whether GOD will be gracious to me, that the child may live?
23 Amma yanzu da ya mutu, me zai sa in yi azumi? Zan iya dawo da shi ne? Ni zan je wajensa, ba shi zai dawo wurina ba.”
But now he is dead, why should I fast? can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.
24 Sai Dawuda ya yi wa matarsa Batsheba ta’aziyya, ya kuma tafi wurinta ya kwana da ita. Ta kuma haifi ɗa, suka ba shi suna Solomon. Ubangiji ya ƙaunace shi;
And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in to her, and lay with her: and she bore a son, and he called his name Solomon: and the LORD loved him.
And he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet; and he called his name Jedidiah, because of the LORD.
And Joab fought against Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and took the royal city.
27 Sa’an nan Yowab ya aika manzanni wurin Dawuda yana cewa, “Na yaƙi Rabba na kuma ƙwace hanyar samun ruwanta.
And Joab sent messengers to David, and said, I have fought against Rabbah, and have taken the city of waters.
28 Yanzu fa ka tattara saura rundunoni ka fāɗa wa birnin ka ci shi. In ba haka ba zan karɓe birnin, a kuma kira shi da sunana.”
Now therefore gather the rest of the people together, and encamp against the city, and take it: lest I take the city, and it be called after my name.
29 Saboda haka Dawuda ya tattara sauran rundunar sojojin suka tafi Rabba suka fāɗa masa suka kuma ci shi.
And David gathered all the people together, and went to Rabbah, and fought against it, and took it.
30 Ya ɗauke rawanin daga kan sarkinsu, nauyinsa ya kai talenti, na zinariya, an kuma yi masa ado da duwatsu masu daraja, aka aza shi a kan Dawuda. Ya kuma kwashe ganima mai yawa daga garin.
And he took their king’s crown from off his head, the weight whereof was a talent of gold with the precious stones: and it was set on David’s head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city in great abundance.
And he brought forth the people that were therein, and put them under saws, and under harrows of iron, and under axes of iron, and made them pass through the brick-kiln: and thus did he to all the cities of the children of Ammon. So David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.
