Now Naaman, captain of the army of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honorable, because by him Jehovah had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valor, but he was a leper.
2 To, daga cikin hare haren da mutanen Aram suke kaiwa, sai suka kama wata yarinya daga ƙasar Isra’ila, aka sa ta zama mai yi wa matar Na’aman aiki.
And the Syrians had gone out in bands, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maiden, and she waited on Naaman's wife.
3 Sai ta ce wa uwargijiyarta, “Da dai shugabana zai ga annabin da yake Samariya, da annabin zai warkar da shi daga kuturtarsa.”
And she said to her mistress, Would that my lord were with the prophet who is in Samaria! Then he would heal him of his leprosy.
4 Sai Na’aman ya je wurin maigidansa ya faɗa masa abin da yarinyan nan daga Isra’ila ta faɗa.
And a man went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maiden who is of the land of Israel.
And the king of Syria said, Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.
6 Wasiƙar da ya kai wa sarkin Isra’ila ta ce, “Da wannan wasiƙa ina aika Na’aman gare ka don ka warkar da kuturtarsa.”
And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, And now when this letter has come to thee, behold, I have sent Naaman my servant to thee that thou may heal him of his leprosy.
Zan iya ɗauke rai ko in mai da shi? Me ya sa wannan mutum ya turo mini wannan mutum in warkar da kuturtarsa? Dubi fa yadda yake nemana da faɗa!”
And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he tore his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man sends to me to heal a man of his leprosy? But consider, I pray you, and see how he seeks a quarrel against me.
Ka sa mutumin yă zo wurina, zai kuwa san cewa akwai annabi a Isra’ila.”
And it was so, when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Why have thou torn thy clothes? Let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.
So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariots, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.
10 Sai Elisha ya aika’yan saƙo su ce masa, “Je, ka nutse sau bakwai a Urdun, fatar jikinka za tă koma daidai, ka kuma tsarkaka.”
And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shall be clean.
11 Amma Na’aman ya tashi daga can da fushi yana cewa, “Na yi tsammani zai fito ne wurina yă tsaya, yă yi kira bisa ga sunan Ubangiji Allahnsa, yă kaɗa hannunsa inda kuturtar take, yă warkar da ni.
But Naaman was angry, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought he will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of Jehovah his God, and wave his hand over the place, and heal the leper.
Me zai sa ba zan nutse cikinsu in tsarkaka ba?”
Are not Abanah and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? May I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
13 Sai bayin Na’aman suka je kusa da shi suka ce, “Baba, da a ce annabin ya ce ka yi wani abu mai wuya, da ba za ka yi ba? Balle fa cewa kawai ya yi, ‘Ka yi wanka ka kuma tsarkaka’!”
And his servants came near, and spoke to him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, would thou not have done it? How much rather then, when he says to thee, Wash, and be clean?
14 Saboda haka Na’aman ya je ya nutse sau bakwai a Urdun, yadda mutumin Allah ya ce masa, sai fatarsa ta koma kamar ta ɗan yaro.
Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God. And his flesh came again like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
15 Sai Na’aman da dukan masu hidimarsa suka koma wurin mutumin Allah. Na’aman ya tsaya a gaban mutumin Allah ya ce, “Yanzu na san cewa babu wani Allah a duk duniya sai a Isra’ila. Ina roƙonka ka karɓi kyauta daga hannun bawanka.”
And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him. And he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, take a present from thy servant.
16 Annabin ya amsa ya ce, “Muddin Ubangiji wanda nake bauta masa yana a raye, ba zan karɓi kome ba.” Ko da yake Na’aman ya yi ta roƙonsa, amma ya ƙi.
But he said, As Jehovah lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it, but he refused.
17 Sai Na’aman ya ce, “In ba za ka karɓa ba, ina roƙonka, bari a ba wa bawanka ƙasa gwargwadon abin da jakuna biyu za su iya ɗauka, gama bawanka ba zai sāke yin hadaya ta ƙonawa, ko wata hadaya ga wani allah ba, sai ga Ubangiji.
And Naaman said, If not, yet, I pray thee, let there be given to thy servant two mules' burden of dirt, for thy servant will henceforth offer neither burnt offering nor sacrifice to other gods, but to Jehovah.
18 Amma ina fata Ubangiji zai gafarta wa bawanka saboda abu guda. Bari yă gafarta mini sa’ad da na raka sarkina zuwa haikalin Rimmon domin yă yi sujada, bari Ubangiji yă yi wa bawanka gafara saboda wannan.”
In this thing Jehovah pardon thy servant: when my master goes into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leans on my hand, and I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, when I bow myself in the house of Rimmon, Jehovah pardon thy servant in this thing.
19 Sai Elisha ya ce, “Ka sauka lafiya.” Bayan Na’aman ya yi ɗan nisa,
And he said to him, Go in peace. So he departed from him a little way.
20 sai Gehazi, bawan Elisha mutumin Allah, ya yi tunani a ransa ya ce, “Maigidana ya yi wa Na’aman mutumin Aram nan ƙaramci da bai karɓi duk abin da ya kawo ba. Muddin Ubangiji yana a raye, zan bi shi a guje in karɓi wani abu daga gare shi.”
But Gehazi the servant of Elisha the man of God, said, Behold, my master has spared this Naaman the Syrian, in not receiving at his hands that which he brought. As Jehovah lives, I will run after him, and take something from him.
21 Saboda haka Gehazi ya bi Na’aman a guje.
So Gehazi followed after Naaman. And when Naaman saw him running after him, he alighted from the chariot to meet him, and said, Is all well?
And he said, All is well. My master has sent me, saying, Behold, even now there come to me from the hill-country of Ephraim two young men of the sons of the prophets. Give them, I pray thee, a talent of silver, and two changes of raiment.
23 Na’aman ya ce, “Ba damuwa, karɓi talenti biyu.”
And Naaman said, Be pleased to take two talents. And he urged him, and bound two talents of silver in two bags, with two changes of raiment, and laid them upon two of his servants, and they bore them before him.
24 Da Gehazi ya isa wani tudu, sai ya karɓi kayan daga wurin bayin ya shiga da su a ɓoye a cikin gida. Sa’an nan ya sallami mutanen suka tafi.
And when he came to the hill, he took them from their hand, and bestowed them in the house, and he let the men go, and they departed.
25 Sa’an nan ya shiga ya tsaya a gaban maigidansa Elisha.
But he went in, and stood before his master. And Elisha said to him, From where did thou come, Gehazi? And he said, Thy servant went nowhere.
And he said to him, Did not my heart go with thee when the man turned from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards and vineyards, and sheep and oxen, and men-servants and maid-servants?
27 Kuturtar Na’aman zai manne maka da zuriyarka har abada.” Sai Gehazi ya fita daga gaban Elisha a kuturce, fari fat kamar dusar ƙanƙara.
The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cling to thee, and to thy seed forever. And he went out from his presence a leper as white as snow.
