1 Solomon ɗan Dawuda ya kafa kansa sosai a bisa masarautarsa, gama Ubangiji Allahnsa yana tare da shi ya kuma sa ya zama mai girma sosai.
Solomon, son of David, strengthened his hold over the kingdom, and the Lord God was with him and made him extremely powerful.
2 Sai Solomon ya yi magana ga dukan Isra’ila, ga shugabannin mayaƙa dubu-dubu da shugabannin mayaƙa ɗari-ɗari, ga alƙalai da kuma ga dukan shugabanni a Isra’ila, kawunan iyalai,
Solomon sent for all the Israelite leaders, to the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, to the judges, and to every family leader.
3 Solomon tare da dukan taron suka tafi masujadan kan tudu a Gibeyon, gama Tentin Sujadar Allah yana can, wanda Musa bawan Ubangiji ya yi a hamada.
Solomon went with the whole assembly to the high place at Gibeon, for this was the site of God's Tent of Meeting that Moses, the Lord's servant, had made in the wilderness.
4 Dawuda ya riga ya haura da akwatin alkawarin Allah daga Kiriyat Yeyarim zuwa inda ya shirya dominsa, domin yă kafa masa tenti a Urushalima.
David had brought up the Ark of God from Kiriath-jearim to the place in Jerusalem where he had set up a tent for it.
5 Amma bagaden tagullar da Bezalel ɗan Uri, ɗan Hur, ya yi a Gibeyon a gaba tabanakul na Ubangiji; saboda haka Solomon da taron suka neme nufin Ubangiji a can.
However, the bronze altar made by Bezalel, son of Uri, son of Hur, was there in front of the Tent of the Lord, so that is where Solomon and the assembly went to worship.
6 Solomon ya haura zuwa bagaden tagulla a gaban Ubangiji a cikin Tentin Sujada, ya kuma miƙa hadayu na ƙonawa dubbai a kansa.
Solomon went up to the bronze altar before the Lord, in front of the Tent of Meeting. There he presented one thousand burnt offerings.
7 A wannan dare Allah ya bayyana ga Solomon, ya ce masa, “Roƙi duk abin da kake so in ba ka.”
That night God appeared to Solomon and told him, “Ask what you want me to give you.”
8 Solomon ya amsa wa Allah, “Ka nuna alheri mai girma ga Dawuda mahaifina ka kuma naɗa ni sarki a matsayinsa.
Solomon responded to God, “You showed trustworthy love without limit to my father David, and you have made me king in his place.
9 To, yanzu, ya Ubangiji Allah, ka cika alkawarin da ka yi ga mahaifina Dawuda yă tabbata, gama ka naɗa ni sarki a bisa mutanen da suka wuce ƙirge kamar ƙurar ƙasa.
Lord God, please keep the promise you made to my father David. You have made me king over a nation that has as many people as the dust of the earth.
10 Ka ba ni hikima da sani, don in iya jagorance wannan mutane, gama wa zai iya shugabance wannan jama’arka mai girma?”
Please give me wisdom and knowledge to lead this people—for who can rule with justice this great people of yours?”
11 Allah ya ce wa Solomon, “Da yake wannan ne sha’awar zuciyarka, ba ka kuwa nemi wadata, arziki ko girma ba, ba ka kuma nemi mutuwar abokan gābanka ba, da yake kuma ba ka nemi tsawon rai ba, amma ka nemi hikima da sani don ka shugabanci jama’ata wadda na naɗa ka sarki,
God told Solomon: “Because this is what you really wanted, and you didn't ask for wealth, possessions, or honor, or the death of those who hate you, or for a long life, but instead you asked for wisdom and knowledge so you can rule with justice my people that I have made you king over;
12 saboda haka za a ba ka hikima da sani. Zan kuma ba ka wadata, arziki da girma, waɗanda babu wani sarki kafin kai da ya taɓa kasance da su kuma babu wani a bayanka da zai kasance da su.”
wisdom and knowledge is given to you. I will give you wealth, possessions, and honor as well, much more than any king who came before you has had, or who comes after you will ever have.”
13 Sa’an nan Solomon ya tafi Urushalima daga masujadar kan tudu a Gibeyon, da kuma daga gaban Tentin Sujada. Ya kuma yi mulki a bisa Isra’ila.
Then Solomon returned to Jerusalem from the Tent of Meeting in Gibeon, and he ruled over Israel.
14 Solomon ya tara kekunan yaƙi da dawakai, ya kasance da kekunan yaƙi dubu da ɗari huɗu da kuma dawakai dubu goma sha biyu, waɗanda ya ajiye a biranen kekunan yaƙi, da kuma tare da shi a Urushalima.
Solomon built up an army of chariots and horses. He had 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horses, which he placed in the chariot cities, and also with him in Jerusalem.
15 Sarki ya sa azurfa da zinariya suka zama barkatai a Urushalima kamar duwatsu, al’ul kuma kamar itatuwan fir a gindin tsaunuka.
The king made silver and gold as plentiful in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar wood as plentiful as sycamore-figs trees in the foothills.
16 Aka shigo da dawakan Solomon daga Masar da kuma daga Kuye’yan kasuwan fada suka saye su daga Kuye.
Solomon imported horses for himself from Egypt and Kue; the king's traders bought them in Kue.
17 Suka shigo da kekunan yaƙi daga Masar a kan shekel ɗari shida-shida na azurfa, doki kuma a kan shekel ɗari da hamsin-hamsin. Suka kuma riƙa fitar da su ƙasashen waje zuwa dukan sarakunan Hittiyawa da na Arameyawa.
A chariot could be imported from Egypt for six hundred silver shekels, and a horse for a hundred and fifty. In the same way they exported them to all the Hittite kings and the Aramean kings.
