1 Yosiya yana da shekara goma sha takwas sa’ad da ya zama sarki, ya kuma yi mulki a Urushalima shekara talatin da ɗaya.

Iosiah was eight yeere olde when hee began to reigne, and he reigned in Ierusalem one and thirtie yeere.

2 Ya yi abin da yake daidai a gaban Ubangiji ya kuma yi tafiya a hanyoyin kakansa Dawuda, ba tare da juye dama ko hagu ba.

And he did vprightly in the sight of ye Lord, and walked in the wayes of Dauid his father, and bowed neither to the right hand nor to the left.

3 A shekara ta takwas ta mulkinsa, yayinda yake matashi, sai ya fara neman Allah na kakansa Dawuda. A shekara ta goma sha biyunsa ya fara tsabtacce Yahuda da Urushalima daga masujadan kan tudu, ginshiƙan Ashera, sassaƙaƙƙun gumaka da kuma siffofin da aka yi zubi.

And in the eight yeere of his reigne (when he was yet a childe) he began to seeke after the God of Dauid his father: and in the twelft yeere he began to purge Iudah, and Ierusalem from the hie places, and the groues, and the carued images, and molten images:

4 A ƙarƙashin umarninsa aka rurrushe bagadan Ba’al, ya kuma tumɓuke bagadan ƙona turare waɗanda suke a bisansu, ya farfashe ginshiƙan Ashera da kuma sassaƙaƙƙun siffofi. Ya ragargaza waɗannan kucu-kucu, ya barbaɗa su a kan kaburburan waɗanda suka miƙa musu hadayu.

And they brake downe in his sight the altars of Baalim, and hee caused to cut downe the images that were on hie vpon them: he brake also the groues, and the carued images, and the molten images, and stampt them to pouder, and strowed it vpon the graues of them that had sacrificed vnto them.

5 Ya ƙone ƙasusuwan firistocin gumaka a kan bagaden da a dā suke miƙa hadayunsu, ta haka ya tsabtacce Yahuda da Urushalima.

Also he burnt the bones of the Priests vpon their altars, and purged Iudah and Ierusalem.

6 Ya yi haka cikin garuruwan Manasse, Efraim da Simeyon, har zuwa Naftali, da kuma cikin kangwayen kewayensu,

And in the cities of Manasseh, and Ephraim, and Simeon, euen vnto Naphtali, with their maules they brake all round about.

7 ya farfashe bagadai da ginshiƙan Ashera; ya niƙa gumaka suka zama gari, ya kuma yayyanka dukan bagadan turare kucu-kucu ko’ina a Isra’ila. Sa’an nan ya koma Urushalima.

And when he had destroyed the altars and the groues, and had broken and stamped to pouder the images, and had cut downe all the idoles throughout all the land of Israel, hee returned to Ierusalem.

8 A shekara ta goma sha takwas ta mulkin Yosiya, ya tsarkake ƙasar da haikalin, ya aiki Shafan ɗan Azaliya da Ma’asehiya mai mulkin birni, tare da Yowa ɗan Yowahaz, marubuci, su gyara haikalin Ubangiji Allah.

Then in the eightenth yere of his reigne, when hee had purged the lande and the Temple, he sent Shaphan the sonne of Azaliah, and Maaseiah the gouernour of the citie, and Ioah the sonne of Ioahaz the recorder, to repaire the house of the Lord his God.

9 Suka tafi wurin Hilkiya babban firist suka ba shi kuɗin da aka kawo cikin haikalin Allah, wanda Lawiyawa masu tsaron ƙofofi sun tattara daga mutanen Manasse, Efraim da dukan raguwar Isra’ila da kuma daga dukan mutanen Yahuda da Benyamin da kuma mazaunan Urushalima.

And when they came to Hilkiah the hie Priest, they deliuered ye money that was brought into the house of God, which the Leuites that kept the doore, had gathered at the hand of Manasseh, and Ephraim, and of all the residue of Israel, and of all Iudah and Beniamin, and of the inhabitantes of Ierusalem.

10 Sa’an nan suka danƙa su ga mutanen da aka naɗa su lura da aiki a kan haikalin Ubangiji. Waɗannan mutane ne suke biyan ma’aikatan da suka gyara suka kuma mai da haikalin.

And they put it in the hands of them that should doe the worke and had the ouersight in the house of the Lord: and they gaue it to the workemen that wrought in the house of ye Lord, to repaire and amend the house.

11 Suka kuma ba da kuɗi ga kafintoci da magina don su sayi sassaƙaƙƙun duwatsu, da katakai don yin tsaiko da tankar ginin da sarakunan Yahuda suka bari yă fāɗi ya zama kango.

Euen to the workemen and to the builders gaue they it, to bye hewed stone and timber for couples and for beames of the houses, which the Kings of Iudah had destroyed.

12 Mutanen fa suka yi aiki da aminci. Shugabanninsu, su ne Yahat da Obadiya, Lawiyawa zuriyar Merari da Zakariya da Meshullam, zuriyar Kohat. Dukan Lawiyawa waɗanda suke gwanaye a kayan kiɗi,

And the men did the worke faithfully, and the ouerseers of them were Iahath and Obadiah the Leuites, of the children of Merari, and Zechariah, and Meshullam, of the children of the Kohathites to set it forward: and of the Leuites all that could skill of instruments of musike.

13 sun lura da ma’aikata, suka kuma lura da dukan masu aiki daga aiki zuwa aiki. Waɗansu Lawiyawan su ne marubuta, magatakarda da kuma masu tsaron ƙofofi.

And they were ouer the bearers of burdens, and them that set forwarde all the workemen in euery worke: and of the Leuites were scribes, and officers and porters.

14 Yayinda suke fitar da kuɗin da aka kai cikin haikalin Ubangiji, sai Hilkiya firist ya sami Littafin Dokar Ubangiji da aka bayar ta wurin Musa.

And when they brought out the money that was brought into the house of the Lord, Hilkiah the Priest found the booke of the Lawe of the Lord giuen by the hand of Moses.

15 Hilkiya ya ce wa Shafan magatakarda, “Na sami Littafin Doka a cikin haikalin Ubangiji.” Sai ya ba wa Shafan.

Therefore Hilkiah answered and sayde to Shaphan the chaceler, I haue found the booke of the Law in the house of the Lord: and Hilkiah gaue the booke to Shaphan.

16 Sa’an nan Shafan ya ɗauki littafin zuwa wurin sarki, ya faɗa masa, “Manyan ma’aikatanka suna yin kome da aka sa su.

And Shaphan caried the booke to the King, and brought the King worde againe, saying, All that is committed to the hand of thy seruants, that do they.

17 Mun ɗauke kuɗin da an ajiye a haikalin Ubangiji muka ba wa masu aiki da waɗanda suke lura da su.”

For they haue gathered the money that was found in the house of the Lord, and haue deliuered it into the handes of the ouerseers, and to the handes of the workemen.

18 Sa’an nan Shafan magatakarda ya sanar da sarki ya ce, “Hilkiya firist ya ba ni wani littafi.” Sai Shafan ya karanta daga cikinsa a gaban sarki.

Also Shaphan ye chanceler declared to the King, saying, Hilkiah the Priest hath giuen mee a booke, and Shaphan read it before the King.

19 Da sarki ya ji kalmomin Doka, sai ya yage rigunansa.

And when the King had heard the wordes of the Lawe, he tare his clothes.

20 Ya ba da waɗannan umarnai ga Hilkiya, Ahikam ɗan Shafan, Abdon ɗan Mika, Shafan magatakarda da kuma Asahiya mai hidimar sarki.

And the King commanded Hilkiah, and Ahikam the sonne of Shaphan, and Abdon the sonne of Micah, and Shaphan the chanceler, and Asaiah the Kings seruant, saying,

21 Ya ce, “Ku tafi ku nemi nufin Ubangiji saboda ni da kuma saboda raguwa a Isra’ila da Yahuda game da abin da aka rubuta a wannan littafin da aka samu. Fushin Ubangiji mai girma ne da aka zuba a kanmu domin kakanninmu ba su kiyaye maganar Ubangiji ba; ba su aikata bisa ga dukan abin da yake a rubuce a wannan littafi ba.”

Goe and enquire of the Lord for me, and for the rest in Israel and Iudah, concerning the wordes of this booke that is founde: for great is the wrath of the Lord that is fallen vpon vs, because our fathers haue not kept the worde of the Lord, to doe after all that is written in this booke.

22 Hilkiya tare da waɗanda sarki ya aika, suka tafi suka yi magana da annabiya Hulda, wadda take matar Shallum ɗan Tokhat ɗan Hasra, mai tsaron wurin ajiyar riguna. Tana zama a Urushalima, a Yanki na Biyu.

Then Hilkiah and they that the King had appoynted, went to Huldah the Prophetesse ye wife of Shallum, the sonne of Tokhath, the sonne of Hasrah keeper of the wardrobe (and she dwelt in Ierusalem within the colledge) and they communed hereof with her.

23 Sai ta ce musu, “Ga abin da Ubangiji, Allah na Isra’ila ya ce faɗa wa mutumin da ya aike ku gare ni,

And shee answered them, Thus sayth the Lord God of Israel, Tell yee the man that sent you to me,

24 ‘Ga abin da Ubangiji ya ce zai kawo masifa a wannan wuri da mutanensa, dukan la’anar da aka rubuta a cikin littafin da aka karanta a gaban sarkin Yahuda.

Thus saith the Lord, Beholde, I will bring euill vpon this place, and vpon the inhabitantes thereof, euen all the curses, that are written in the booke which they haue read before the King of Iudah:

25 Domin sun yashe ni suka kuma ƙone turare wa waɗansu alloli, suka tsokane ni in yi fushi ta wurin dukan abin da hannuwansu suka yi, fushina zai zuba a kan wannan wuri, ba kuma za a kwantar da shi ba.’

Because they haue forsaken me, and burnt incense vnto other gods, to anger mee with al the workes of their hands, therefore shall my wrath fall vpon this place, and shall not be quenched.

26 Ku faɗa wa sarkin Yahuda, wanda ya aike ku ku nemi nufin Ubangiji, ‘Ga abin da Ubangiji, Allah na Isra’ila yake cewa game da kalmomin da ka ji.

But to the King of Iudah, who sent you to enquire of the Lord, so shall ye say vnto him, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, The words which thou hast heard, shall come to passe.

27 Domin zuciyarka mai tuba ce, ka kuma ƙasƙantar da kanka a gaban Allah sa’ad da ka ji abin da ya yi magana a kan wannan wuri da mutanensa, domin kuma ka ƙasƙantar da kanka a gabana, ka yage rigunanka ka kuma yi kuka a gabana, na ji ka, in ji Ubangiji.

But because thine heart did melt, and thou didest humble thy selfe before God, when thou heardest his wordes against this place and against the inhabitantes thereof, and humbledst thy selfe before mee and tarest thy clothes, and weptest before mee, I haue also heard it, sayth the Lord.

28 Yanzu zan tara ka da kakanninka, za a kuma binne ka cikin salama. Idanunka ba za su ga dukan masifar da zan kawo a kan wannan wuri da kuma a kan waɗanda suke zama a nan ba.’” Sai suka kai amsar wa sarki.

Beholde, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt bee put in thy graue in peace, and thine eyes shall not see all the euill, which I will bring vpon this place, and vpon the inhabitants of the same. Thus they brought ye King word againe.

29 Sai sarki ya kira dukan dattawan Yahuda da Urushalima.

Then the King sent and gathered all the Elders of Iudah and Ierusalem.

30 Ya haura zuwa haikalin Ubangiji tare da mutanen Yahuda, mutanen Urushalima, firistoci da Lawiyawa, dukan mutane daga ƙarami zuwa babba. Ya karanta dukan kalmomin Littafin Alkawari wanda aka samu a cikin haikalin Ubangiji a kunnuwansu.

And the King went vp into the house of the Lord, and all the men of Iudah, and the inhabitants of Ierusalem, and the Priests and the Leuites, and all the people from the greatest to the smallest, and hee read in their eares all the wordes of the booke of the couenant that was found in the house of the Lord.

31 Sai sarkin ya miƙe tsaye a inda yake, ya sabunta alkawari a gaban Ubangiji, don yă bi Ubangiji yă kiyaye umarnansa, ƙa’idodinsa da kuma farillansa da dukan zuciyarsa da kuma dukan ransa, ya kuma yi biyayya da kalmomin alkawarin da aka rubuta a cikin wannan littafi.

And the King stood by his pillar, and made a couenant before the Lord, to walke after the Lord, and to keepe his commandements, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all his heart, and with all his soule, and that he would accomplish the wordes of the couenant written in the same booke.

32 Sa’an nan ya sa kowa a Urushalima da Benyamin ya yi alkawari ga wannan; mutanen Urushalima suka aikata wannan bisa ga alkawarin Allah, Allah na kakanninsu.

And he caused all that were found in Ierusalem, and Beniamin to stande to it: and the inhabitants of Ierusalem did according to the couenant of God, euen the God of their fathers.

33 Yosiya ya fitar da dukan gumakan banƙyama daga dukan yankunan Isra’ilawa, ya kuma sa dukan waɗanda suke a Isra’ila su bauta wa Ubangiji Allahnsu. Muddin ransa, ba su fasa bin Ubangiji Allah na kakanninsu ba.

So Iosiah tooke away al the abominations out of all the countreis that perteined to the children of Israel, and compelled all that were found in Israel, to serue the Lord their God: so all his dayes they turned not backe from the Lord God of their fathers.
