1 Yehoshafat ɗansa ya gāje shi a matsayin sarki ya kuma kahu sosai gāba da Isra’ila.
And Jehoshaphat his son became king in his stead, and strengthened himself against Israel.
2 Ya kafa mayaƙa a dukan biranen katangar Yahuda, ya kuma sa runduna a Yahuda da kuma a garuruwan Efraim da mahaifinsa Asa ya ci da yaƙi.
And he placed forces in all the fortified cities of Judah, and placed garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim, which Assa his father had captured.
3 Ubangiji kuwa yana tare da Yehoshafat domin a shekarunsa na farko-farko ya yi tafiya a hanyoyin da kakansa Dawuda ya bi. Bai nemi shawarar Ba’al ba
And the Lord was with Jehoshaphat; because he walked in the first ways of David his father, and sought not after the Be'alim;
4 amma ya nemi Allah na kakansa ya kuma bi umarnansa a maimakon ayyukan da Isra’ila ke yi.
On the contrary, after the God of his father did he seek, and in his commandments did he walk, but not after the doings of Israel.
5 Ubangiji ya kafa mulkin a ƙarƙashin ikonsa; dukan Yahuda kuwa suka kawo kyautai wa Yehoshafat, ta haka ya yi arziki sosai da kuma girma.
Therefore did the Lord establish the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah gave presents to Jehoshaphat; and he had riches and honor in abundance.
6 Zuciyarsa ta duƙufa ga hanyoyin Ubangiji, bugu da ƙari, ya kawar masujadan kan tudu da ginshiƙan Ashera daga Yahuda.
And his heart raised itself up in the ways of the Lord, and he removed moreover the high-places and groves out of Judah.
7 A shekara ta uku ta mulkinsa, ya aiki ma’aikatansa Ben-Hayil, Obadiya, Zakariya, Netanel da Mikahiya su yi koyarwa a garuruwan Yahuda.
And in the third year of his reign he sent his princes, even Ben-chayil, and 'Obadiah, and Zechariah, and Nethanel, and Michayahu, to teach in the cities of Judah.
8 Tare da su akwai waɗansu Lawiyawa, Shemahiya, Netaniya, Zebadiya, Asahel, Shemiramot, Yehonatan, Adoniya, Tobiya da Tob Adoniya, da kuma firistoci Elishama da Yehoram.
And with them were the Levites, Shema'yahu, and Nethanyahu, and Zebadyahu, and 'Assahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adoniyahu, and Tobiyahu, and Tobadoniyah, the Levites; and with them Elishama' and Jehoram, the priests.
9 Suka yi koyarwa a dukan Yahuda, suna ɗauke da Littafin Dokar Ubangiji tare da su; suka tafi ko’ina a dukan garuruwan Yahuda suka koyar da mutane.
And they taught in Judah, and with them was the book of the law of the Lord, and they moved about through all the cities of Judah, and taught the people.
10 Tsoron Ubangiji ya kama dukan masarautun ƙasashen da suke kewaye da Yahuda, har ba su yi yaƙi da Yehoshafat ba.
And the dread of the Lord was upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Judah, so that they made no war with Jehoshaphat.
11 Waɗansu Filistiyawa suka kawo wa Yehoshafat kyautai da azurfa a matsayin haraji, Larabawa kuwa suka kawo masa garkuna, raguna dubu bakwai da ɗari bakwai da kuma awaki dubu bakwai da ɗari bakwai.
Also from the Philistines did people bring unto Jehoshaphat presents and silver, as tribute: also the Arabians brought him small cattle, rams seven thousand and seven hundred, and he-goats seven thousand and seven hundred.
12 Yehoshafat ya yi ta ƙaruwa a ƙarfi; ya gina katanga da biranen ajiya a Yahuda
And Jehoshaphat went on becoming exceedingly great, and he built in Judah castles and treasure-cities.
13 da kuma tanade-tanade masu yawa a garuruwan Yahuda. Ya kuma ajiye gogaggu mayaƙa a Urushalima.
And he had great works in the cities of Judah, and men of war, mighty in valor, in Jerusalem.
14 Ɗaukar da aka yi musu bisa ga iyalai yana kamar haka. Daga Yahuda, shugaban ƙungiya 1,000. Adna ne shugaba, tare da jarumawa 300,000;
And these are their numbers according to their family divisions: Of Judah, of the captains of the thousands was 'Adnah the chief, and with him were mighty men of valor, three hundred thousand.
15 biye da shi, Yehohanan shi ne shugaba, yana da sojoji 280,000;
And next to him was Jehochanan the chief, and with him were two hundred and eighty thousand.
16 biye da shi, Amasiya ɗan Zikri, wanda ya ba da kansa da yardar rai don hidimar Ubangiji, yana da sojoji 200,000.
And next to him was 'Amassyah the son of Zichri, who voluntarily offered himself unto the Lord; and with him were two hundred thousand mighty men of valor.
17 Daga Benyamin, Eliyada, jarumi soja, yana da sojoji 200,000 riƙe da baka da garkuwoyi;
And of Benjamin, the mighty valiant Elyada', and with him were those armed with bow and shield two hundred thousand.
18 biye da shi, Yehozabad, yana da sojoji 18,000 shiryayyu don yaƙi.
And next him was Jehozabad, and with him were one hundred and eighty thousand ready armed for the host.
19 Waɗannan su ne suka yi wa sarki hidima, ban da waɗanda aka sa a biranen katanga ko’ina a Yahuda.
These were those that ministered to the king, besides those whom the king had placed in the fortified cities throughout all Judah.
