1 Abiya kuwa ya huta tare da kakanninsa, aka kuma binne shi a Birnin Dawuda. Asa ɗansa ya gāje shi a matsayin sarki, a zamaninsa kuma ƙasar ta zauna lafiya na shekara goma.
So Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David: and Asa his son reigned in his stead. In his days the land was quiet ten years.
2 Asa ya yi abin da yake da kyau da kuma daidai a gaban Ubangiji Allahnsa.
And Asa did that which was good and right in the eyes of the LORD his God:
3 Ya kawar da baƙin bagade da masujadai bisa tudu, ya farfashe keɓaɓɓun duwatsu, ya kuma sassare ginshiƙan Ashera.
For he took away the altars of the strange gods, and the high places, and broke down the images, and cut down the groves:
4 Ya umarci Yahuda su nemi Ubangiji Allah na kakanninsu, su kuma yi biyayya da dokoki da kuma umarnansa.
And commanded Judah to seek the LORD God of their fathers, and to do the law and the commandment.
5 Ya kawar da masujadan kan tudu da bagadan turare a kowane gari a Yahuda, masarautar kuwa ta zauna lafiya a ƙarƙashinsa.
Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the images: and the kingdom was quiet before him.
6 Ya gina biranen katanga na Yahuda, da yake ƙasar tana zaman lafiya. Babu wanda yake yaƙi da shi a waɗannan shekaru, gama Ubangiji ya ba shi hutu.
And he built fenced cities in Judah: for the land had rest, and he had no war in those years; because the LORD had given him rest.
7 Ya ce wa Yahuda, “Bari mu gina waɗannan garuruwa mu sa katanga kewaye da su, da hasumiyoyi, ƙofofi da ƙyamare. Ƙasar har yanzu tamu ce domin mun nemi Ubangiji Allahnmu, mun neme shi ya kuwa ba mu hutu a kowane gefe.” Saboda haka suka gina suka kuma yi nasara.
Therefore he said to Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he has given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.
8 Asa ya kasance da mayaƙa dubu ɗari uku daga Yahuda, kintsatse da manyan garkuwoyi da māsu, da kuma mayaƙa dubu ɗari biyu da dubu tamanin daga Benyamin, riƙe da ƙananan garkuwoyi da kuma baka. Dukan waɗannan jarumawa ne ƙwarai.
And Asa had an army of men that bore targets and spears, out of Judah three hundred thousand; and out of Benjamin, that bore shields and drew bows, two hundred and fourscore thousand: all these were mighty men of valor.
9 Zera mutumin Kush ya taka ya fita don yă yaƙe su da babban runduna da kuma kekunan yaƙi ɗari uku, ya kuma zo har Maresha.
And there came out against them Zerah the Ethiopian with an host of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots; and came to Mareshah.
10 Asa ya fita don yă ƙara da shi, suka ja dāgā yaƙi a Kwarin Zefata kusa da Maresha.
Then Asa went out against him, and they set the battle in array in the valley of Zephathah at Mareshah.
11 Sai Asa ya kira ga Ubangiji Allahnsa ya ce, “Ubangiji, babu wani kamar ka da zai taimaki marar ƙarfi a kan mai ƙarfi. Ka taimake mu, ya Ubangiji Allahnmu, gama mun dogara a gare ka, kuma a cikin sunanka muka fito don mu yaƙi wannan babbar runduna. Ya Ubangiji, kai ne Allahnmu; kada ka bar mutum yă yi nasara a kanka.”
And Asa cried to the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with you to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on you, and in your name we go against this multitude. O LORD, you are our God; let no man prevail against you.
12 Ubangiji fa ya bugi mutanen Kush a gaban Asa da Yahuda. Mutanen Kush suka gudu,
So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.
13 Asa kuwa da mayaƙansa suka bi su har Gerar. Mutanen Kush suka mutu a ranan nan har ba a iya ƙidaya, aka buge su a gaban Ubangiji da rundunansa. Mutanen Yahuda suka kwashi ganima sosai.
And Asa and the people that were with him pursued them to Gerar: and the Ethiopians were overthrown, that they could not recover themselves; for they were destroyed before the LORD, and before his host; and they carried away very much spoil.
14 Suka hallaka dukan ƙauyukan kewaye da Gerar, gama tsoron Ubangiji ya kama su. Suka kwashi ganima na dukan ƙauyukan nan, da yake akwai ganima sosai a can.
And they smote all the cities round about Gerar; for the fear of the LORD came on them: and they spoiled all the cities; for there was exceeding much spoil in them.
15 Suka kuma yaƙi sansanin makiyaya suka kwashe tumaki da awaki da raƙuma. Suka koma Urushalima.
They smote also the tents of cattle, and carried away sheep and camels in abundance, and returned to Jerusalem.
